Tortuga A flash of white. Tortuga carefully picked his way towards the clear roar of the waterfall he knew to be waiting ahead. His ivory colored pelt was layered with a thin coat of dust from his wandering that had led him past Auktion rock. The smell of fear, blood, and sweat till clung to his nostrils, and the only thing the male truly desired at this time was to take a dip into the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. The cool water on this humid day would be a huge relief, as well as the added bonus of restoring his coat to it's previous pure white. The roaring grew louder the closer he drew to the falls, and Tortuga's ears twitched. As he moved, he took in the scenery around him. He was calm in this moment, alone yet alright with it. Tortuga didn't necessarily mind being alone, but the brute didn't mind company, either. It had been a while since he'd stopped to talk to another. He certainly hadn't at Auktion rock. The place had a way of darkening his mood, making him want to get away from there as quickly as possible. So he had, figuring that the wolves there wouldn't make the best company anyways. His thought process was interrupted as he finally came upon the waterfall. When his icy blue eyes first rested upon it, he found himself almost breathless at it's beauty. The way the water tumbled down created a sight too stunning for words. He was still for a long moment, simply watching, before peering around. There were no others here, from what he could see and scent. He had heard of this place before, that it was secluded and that sometimes, mates would come here for the wonderful view and a romantic sunset or sunrise. Tortuga had no mate, and was personally glad that he had not paraded in and interrupted a couple. No, he was alone here, and with that thought, he moved down closer to the water. Once he reached the pool, he moved a little ways further down, taking one step into the depths. It was cold, but refreshing at the same time. He proceeded forward, stepping carefully until the water was up to his haunches. He paused before proceeding to the point that he had to swim. He proceeded to do so in small circles, before moving back to gain his footing. He dipped his head under once to wash the fur there before moving further up until only his paws were submerged. After lowering his head to take a long drink, he padded back onto the rocks. He lowered his hindquarters to the group, leaving himself in a very regal looking sitting position. He may not have been a dominor, but the brute still thought highly of himself. Letting the air slowly dry his fur, he gave a soft sigh. Now, he truly was relaxed.

KASIMIRA The swish of a black figure slunk through the trees as night's gentle shadow descended on the rolling landscape. Kasimira had neither shown up at Phantom's challenge nor returned home; no, she figured that it was only polite of her to give her new members time to acquaint themselves with each other before she threw down the hammer and showed them what the queen expected of her subjects. Loyal subjects. And although the queen had not made her presence known to her pack she had stood, watching from the bushes as they met and bickered with each other.
Zy, as usual, was causing quite a ruckus in the forming ranks and it had seemed to have a strange effect on her newest member, Kyren. Kasimira had known from the beginning that he seemed rather domineering for a sklavin--obviously there was more to his soft gesture of respect and his inner personality. She'd question him later. The black female had contemplated the question of who was to be her Beta--but then again, did she feel the need to promote such a new, possibly unreliable character to high ranks so quickly? The way he had taken charge was something the vix wouldn't be able to ignore if he kept up his proud ways.
Kasimira carefully made her way through the fading light, paw steps light and delicate. As the trees thinned before her the waterfall grew louder, and the female broker into a trot, tail waving excitement. This was a different side to her--most wolves only glimpsed her harsh, aggressive ways, the features that distinguished her a leader, an Alpha. Nearing the pool that swirled below the raging falls, Kasimira readied her haunches and lept, blue eyes wide with zeal, a soft snarl playing on her lips.
Water sprayed as she plummeted downward, claws scratching the pool's soft sandy floor. Kasimira finally dared open her eyes for a moment. It was a different world down here--there were small fish swimming here and there and it was almost soundless besides the thoughts that raged through her mind as she swam.
Cold chills rushed through her ebony fur as Kasimira vigorously thrust herself towards the surface. Her lungs were burning, pleading for air as she swam, legs pumping like pistons. The female's head broke the surface with a spray of water and the Alpha slowly clamored out of the pool, dazed by the energy that coursed through her. It was then that she noticed the male sitting beside her; distinctly male by his scent and larger appearance. It was with a blush under her dark fur and a flash of her eyes that she padded towards him, interest piqued. What was a male like him doing so... care freely near her lands?
With regret Kasimira held back the light snarl that had formed in the pit of her stomach; she certainly didn't need to scare away all of wolves just because they enjoyed the falls. Even she could admit the rush of water and spray was curiously alluring in the dead of night with the stars glimmering above. Flicking her ears in greeting, Kasimira softly surveyed the wolf before her. He was a pure white coat--completely opposite of her own somber black pelt--and his eyes were a shimmering hue of blue. They reminded her of her own in a way. Kasimira gazed into him as she spoke, voice becoming a soft velvet.
"Wanna play?"
It was a slightly seductive line, but the rush of adrenaline from her dive had warmed the vixen. She could have fun with this.
ooc- short, but hey. she's in the mood for having a good time.

Tortuga For a moment, Tortuga thought that maybe he could fall asleep here. It had been so long since he'd truly relaxed, but here with the breeze softly caressing his frame and the sound of the falls in the background, it was nice. Somewhere he could hear the faint sound of a bird chirping, and although normally the sound agitated him, it was tolerable now. His lips twitched upwards, forming the smallest of smiles. He thought that he'd have to visit this place again. One day, maybe with a mate. The thought left him partially confused. Did he truly wish for that, or was he so serene that his thoughts were becoming jumbled? Suddenly, something hit the water. Droplets shot upwards, spraying the ground and narrowly missing him. He remained in his sitting position but he was alert now, ears tilted forwards, eyes watching the ripples extending across the clear surface. Whatever it was, it hadn't been small, not a fish leaping certainly. Perhaps something his size he thought, tilting his head to one side as his thoughts raced. Whatever it was, he could only hope that it wasn't a threat to him. Shaking his head, he waited. It paid off. Moments later, a furry black head broke the surface. Another canine it seemed, a wolf. As she drew herself - because, as he studied her, he saw that it was in fact a she - out of the water, she seemed to take no notice of him at all. He smirked a little, and when she turned her head and did spot him, he remained in his sitting position. His muscles relaxed as something flickered in her eyes and she moved closer to him. She didn't seem to have a threatening way about her, so he allowed her to move to him, his smirk transforming into a tiny smile when she was near. Her eyes flickered over his frame, studying him, and he took the time to do the same. Black fur as he had noted previously, completely opposite of his. She was a tad bit smaller, and the way she moved whispered to him that she was a dominor. A very proud, regal one at that. When his light azul eyes met hers, they encountered a similar blue gaze. She was overall, he thought, a very stunning female. Everything about her appearance made him curious to learn just a bit more. "Wanna play?" The words slipped from her maw, light and seductive. His smile morphed back into a smirk and his ears flickered, fond of her voice. He hadn't expected company, no, but now that it had found him he certainly wasn't complaining. What brute would have complained, after all, when such a fine little female presented herself in front of him? The last he had seen had been a ragged slave, slinking and frightened. It was incredibly refreshing for his eyes to find a female who seemed confident, and it was obvious that she took good care of herself. Ah, Tortgua's lucky day. "What kind of blind brute would I be, miss, to deny playing with a female like yourself?" He asked in return, his voice deep and low, making it clear that he very much appreciated her appearance. Yes, Tortuga couldn't deny it, he was a flirt. And it was such a beautiful night, why not have a bit of fun with this female that fate had dropped in front of him, almost quite literally? He dipped his head a little, his expression playful, devious, and his tone reflecting the same emotions when he opened his maw to speak again. "Name's Tortuga." He said, shifting his weight slightly as he angled his body more towards her. The last thing he wanted her to think was that he didn't want her company. He regarded her with a proud gaze, his most charming half smile, half smirk stuck on his muzzle. "Perhaps I'm lucky enough to be graced with your name as well, love?" If he was lucky, she wouldn't have his bits for dubbing her 'love'. It was hit and miss with females these days. They either loved it or hated it, and he supposed it could go both ways with this one.

KASIMIRA "What kind of blind brute would I be, miss, to deny playing with a female like yourself?"
Obviously, a very stupid one. It was a silent reply and Kasimira held herself from the words that tumbled on her tongue. They ran through her mind like fire, igniting and fueling her ego. With a wordless reply Kasimira stubbornly held his gaze, a hint of excitement lingering. The female slowly sauntered closer, hips rolling. She was a goddess, she knew. There was no dodging the fact--she would personally show him soon enough.
Kasimira held her vocals as silence enveloped them. Vaguely her mind drifted. It seemed so long ago that she had been bouncing around in her old pack with her mother and father. Kasimira had been the first born and by her thinking, that alone had entitled her to everything her parent's connections and the world had to offer. Aloisia, her younger sister, had never been one for dominating which made the job easy. Besides, being the spitting image of their mother paired with the brains and decisiveness of their proud father had made Kasimira the favored pup. Yet, in the end, even though mother had spoiled her, she had left, fed up playing pup games with her kin in the grasses of her old home.
"Name's Tortuga."
The male's voice shook her back into reality. You find a perfectly decent male to flirt it up with and you start daydreaming... muttered Kasimira to herself, a noiseless speech. Kasimira paused as his eyes drifted over her. Pleasure rippled through her and she carefully, quietly moved around him, her blackened tail flicking his nose in a playful gesture.
"Perhaps I'm lucky enough to be graced with your name as well, love?"
Ooo, he was sly. Tortuga seemed confident of himself, controlling yet all above it all, or at least for this moment, a flirtatious male that was more than happy to share some fun. The addition of 'love' was a charming touch. Thinking over, Kasimira never recalled anyone calling her by such a personal name. The female paused, carefully collecting her words before responding, lyrics smooth in tone.
"The name is Kasimira, babe."
Kasimira. No one had ever called her by simply her first, given name. It struck a chord in the vixen as she stood there, her tail wrapped delicately around his body. For a slight moment she was unnerved in mind. Someone was penetrating into her softer side. Should she leave with a simple farewell and keep her dignity? Or play with the budding flame?
Heck, she couldn't remember the last time a single, male wolf had made her stomach flip and her paws feel light. It couldn't hurt right? With a flash of her azure eyes, Kasimira gave it her all.
"Let's make this fun, 'kay?"
It was a growl of pleasure that rolled off her lips as she lunged for him, paws pushing him over into the grass. She would show her dominance--for now. Unless, of course, he felt like stunning her a bit. Kasimira was quick to gently bite down on his left ear, tugging with a passion lingering in her blazing eyes. She had never felt this, this.. This enjoyment, this bliss. It coursed through her as the moon fell over the pair.
And with a smoldering from the fire that raced through her mind, a thought occurred to the black she-wolf.
I could get used to this.
ooc- it was icky, but i had to redo twice. bah. make of it what you will.

Tortuga For a moment she was silent, and Tortuga wondered if he had overstepped it with the love thing. But perhaps she was simply lost in her own mind, her memories. Often Tortuga found himself reminiscing, thinking of old times and completely shutting out the world around him. Most of the time, he didn't intend to. But once you got to thinking, it would take you away from reality, transport you somewhere far away, usually to a much simpler time. So he waited patiently, tail flicking back and forth as she watched her dark face expectantly. She truly was a sight to see. When she did come around, he tilted his head a little, waiting for her response. "The name is Kasimira, babe." Ah, so she hadn't minded. In fact, she seemed to like it, which made Tortuga's smirk widen. And the way she said babe...Tortuga had to hold back a little shiver. This female spelled out trouble, and he thought he might just like it. Kasimira. He committed her to his memory, liking the way her name sounded as well. A very lovely name for a very lovely girl. It was fitting, he thought. Very fitting. The way she was sliding her tail across his body, the way she rolled her hips did make him shiver then, and he made no move to hide it as the appendage wrapped itself around him. His eyes stayed molded to hers, watching her as she moved, his ears perked forward, listening intently, eager for her voice again. This female was captivating him, yet...he couldn't let her pull all the shots, now could he? Struggling to rain himself in lest he be putty in her paws, he straightened a little, trying to clear his mind. She was truly extraordinary to draw this sort of reaction out of him, and he had a feeling that she knew it. "Let's make this fun, 'kay?" She pounced on him then, and he knew that making it fun wouldn't be a problem. She tugged at his ear, pinning him in the grass, and he thought it must have been his lucky night. Beautiful and dominant female? Check. Seemed to want him very much? Check. His heart was pounding away in his chest, his whole body practically trembling from how alive he felt as he let her dominate him for a moment. Kasimira was the cause of all of this, and Tortuga had to admit, he quite liked it. When he drew back, he saw the passion in her eyes, and it set his own aflame. With a throaty growl, he rolled so that he was pinning her, nipping at her neck lightly. He nuzzled his face against her, nudging her a little before drawing back, looking her over as his mind raced, trying to decide on something. Right now, he wasn't one for words, the question in his eyes instead as he nudged her hindquarters very lightly with his muzzle. What the brute wanted was obvious as he moved over Kasimira, pausing and glancing down at her. He would never take anything from the female, and if she protested he would gladly fight back the passion burning inside of him and back off. If it was one thing his mother had taught him, it was never to take advantage of a female, no matter what. In fact, his mother had seemed especially determined to beat that lesson into his head. But from the way Kasimira had behaved, she didn't exactly seem to mind. For now Tortuga was pushing his luck, trying anyways. He wanted her, damn it, and if she'd allow it, then so be it. OoC: If Kasimira's alright with it, we can go ahead and black it out :3

KASIMIRA Shadows crept from the trees that surrounded the pair as the night grew older and the moon rose into the sky. It was a beautiful summer night with the warmth of the season and the glistening, sparkling stars that watched their progressing relation from above. They were pushing boundaries, lunging with passion beyond the point of return. Kasimira was in bliss.
Maybe it was the way he had effortlessly controlled her for that brief second, rolling over to relax on her back. The pair had not once dropped each other's gaze. And although most wolves would normally be either agitated or annoyed at such a reckless behavior, Kasimira adored it. The way he looked at her with those eyes, ha! She knew what he wanted. Damn. The growl that had slipped through his lips made her fur tingle with delight. It was a longing of her, the drive to get what he wanted. Tortuga had continued with his pursuit of her; a delicate nuzzle on her rump was enough to send Kasimira's mind spinning. He was more than charming she decided. He was sheer ecstasy. It was with a fluid motion that she gracefully turned over for him, heart racing. Now or never.
---
The stars continued to flicker like little fireflies in the raven-black sky as Kasimira wearily raised her head from the cold ground. A few hours had passed and they had, no doubt, been some of the most daring and wild of her life. Adrenaline pulsating through her body as he dominated her, the roar of the falls in sync with her mind's rampaging thoughts. The she-wolf lay next to her lover as the night stretched on, a faint light rising over the horizon. The way he had shown her a completely different side of herself... Kasimira herself hadn't even known it had ever existed. A soothing huff from her lips was all she could manage--her eyes did the speaking for her in ways words could not.
But what of them now? They had shared a lovely, headstrong night together yet where did that leave their hearts now? Surely he would come home with her? The thought of losing him and his commanding yet flexible demeanor she had come to adore to the point of recklessness--it struck Kasimira she noticed the clear and sudden negligence of her actions. Look what you've got yourself into now. Kasimira's heart raced, mind fluttering around on how she would phrase her words. The queen was no longer the harsh, demanding Alpha she had always trusted and known herself to be. Tortuga had softened her protective shell.
Kasimira's lyrics were mild and restrained as she spoke to Tortuga but inside she was killing to hear his reassuring response.
"How would you like to be an Alpha, babe?"
Would he think she was desperate, to be offering such a coveted position to a practical stranger? Well, technically he wasn't a stranger to her by any means... The smirk she'd been holding back crawled onto her lips and her eyes flashed an affectionate desire.
It was a lingering, hoping look that she shot him--not on purpose by any means--but her tail lifted in a sweet acceptation. The she-wolf had no inkling of whether she would become a mother or not and the thought of being left alone to rule the pack she had carefully began to cultivate with pups on the way made Kasimira's ashen fur ripple with uncertainty. The vixen had never raced past such insecurities and intimate moments so quickly without any thought. What if he wasn't looking for a solid relationship? You'll just have to live with your choices then. You are strong. It was settled then. Kasimira knew that whatever the outcome, it was a night that would echo in her memories forever.
Oh, Turtuga...

Tortuga Afterwards, as they lay side-by-side in the grass, his body pressed close to hers, Tortuga couldn't think of a word to describe how he was feeling. It was so much more than content, and bliss came close to summing it up but perhaps it was a little more than that, too. His heart was still thrumming happily, thumping along at a speed higher than normal. And he still felt very, very alive indeed. Everything was still and quiet with the exception of their rising and falling sides, the roar of the waterfall, and the soft singing of crickets. It was, he thought, quite perfect. He turned to look at the ebony colored female beside him, affection blossoming in his expression as he did so. He had shared something with her that he hadn't with any other wolf, and it made the brute a bit soft for Kasimira. He wondered what would happen now. Would she leave, satisfied and prepared to forget about him? Or would she stay, perhaps come to tell him one day that she was carrying his pups? Now that thought had him going soft in the heart. For some reason, the idea of losing Kasimira now had a way of installing dread in the brute. "How would you like to be an Alpha, babe?"Her words jerked him back to reality, temporarily stunning him. His gaze traveled over her again, assessing. Yes, it would make sense for her to be the Alpha of her own pack. She was powerful and domineering, and the thought was just so very attractive to Tortuga. Once more he found his thoughts drifting to what a wonderful female she was, and he felt almost smitten with her. When his gaze moved back to her eyes, he saw the hopeful flicker residing there, despite the smirk on her lips. She truly wanted him to stay with her, seemingly long term. Many times, Tortuga had found himself flirting with females. He would show off and speak in his most charming lyrics as they sashayed around him. But when it came to them wanting more from him, he would shake his head and retreat, leaving them foul and cursing. None of them had never felt special or right for him. But here with Kasimira, he thought it would feel right to accept her proposal to return to her pack with her. Although they had just met, they had already shared something intimate, and as soft as it made Tortuga feel, he sort of...liked it. He could get used to this. With that, he offered her an affectionate smile, speaking the words she seemed eager to hear. "If it would mean remaining close to you, love, I would be beyond thrilled to take you up on your offer."It was clear that his words were not to impress now, but simply how he felt, straight from the heart. They were laced with warm earnestness, quiet adoration. Previously he had planned to continue wandering around the country, trying desperately to find something that would silence the ever-searching feeling in his very bones. Now, laying here with Kasimira and thinking over the idea of settling down with her, well...it silenced the feeling quite well. His smile grew as he looked at her, and he nuzzled his body closer to her, allowing himself this rare moment when he was not talkative and flashy but instead gentle and sweet. The moonlight caught his ivory fur, causing it to seem almost luminescent in the night as he stretched forward, flicking his tongue out and licking Kasimira's muzzle tenderly. Yes, he could most definitely grow used to this. He was already quite fond of it.

KASIMIRA "If it would mean remaining close to you, love, I would be beyond thrilled to take you up on your offer."
It was all she had ever longed to hear. Someone wanted to be her knight in shinning armor, love her for more than just her daunting looks and glittering eyes. Maybe this trip to the falls had been fate. For a moment the she-wolf sat in wonder, a gleeful expression coming over her face. Whatever they had together was blossoming into a beautiful flower of passion, desire, and a hint of love. Love. Kasimira had never really felt the emotions before, besides expressing her loyalty and caring for her dear parents--but loving Tortuga wasn't quite the same as that.
Kasimira's stomach fluttered with happiness as her love gently moved closer, his fur rubbing hers in the growing light of day. It a delight that swam through her, bathed her in grace of finding him. What could she say at this moment that would make it more complete? Nothing. It was perfect and Kasimira sighed contentedly as she laid her head upon his soft fur, breathing in his pine sprinkled scent. It was distinctively Tortuga and the thought chilled her pleasantly. He's all mine.
Surprise flickered through the she-wolf's eyes as he drew his wet tongue over her muzzle, her nose scrunching in a response of adoration. Would she bear his pups? Kasimira's mind halted--puppies? Her own litter? She had never ventured to consider the possibilities that such an affair would bring. The thought of having her own flesh and blood in another being had never really crossed her mind--she had been domination, out for the world. But now, with this male to stand by her side... Things seemed soothed out, easier to follow. She would be the Alpha with a confident, reassuring mate at her side. Everything would fall into place accordingly.
It was then that Kasimira remembered her fight with Phantom. An angry bile rose in her throat as the thought of leaving Tortuga made itself known. No! Not yet! The time spent with him had been short, only a few hours and yet the force of her devotion, her attraction was staggering. It pained her to look at him with his attractive expression, gaze focused on her. Not an another female. He was entranced with her. Regardless, she had to show her face sometime--or risk losing Korie to that horrible brute of a wolf. Gah. She had no choice. With a thoughtful expression the black she-wolf daintily stood up, careful not to pull his fur or unsettle his contented figure.
"Tortuga, I regret having to leave, but I have been challenged by another Alpha for a sklavin. I will go and fight him and return home as soon as possible, okay?"
Kasimira shot him a pained expression but her mind was beginning to focus on the fight ahead. If she was to have any chance against Phantom and all his ruthlessness, she would need to be controlled, fierce, demanding of herself. She could win--she just needed to clear her thoughts on her new mate before plunging into battle. The ebony wolf nuzzled her mate before speaking again, a renewed eagerness bubbling inside of her.
"I'm so sorry, love. I'll be home as soon as I can. Promise. Irrsin, our pack, lays directly east. You can't miss it."
Sincere tone was something that had not been her usual before now. But lots of things changed with this male's companionship. I could be a mother! Kasimira's ears pricked at the thought. Puppies. Oh, how she wished they would look like him!
As a small lark sang a soft melody to the trees as Kasimira licked her mate's muzzle one last time before she took off. Her ash colored paws churned with building rage. She would not lose. It was time to show the world what she was really made of. Kasimira let loose a howl of power from within her as she raced over the valley, stomach skimming the grasses of her home. However much she dreaded leaving her new love, it was imperative that she make good time to the challenge--she wanted to win. Kasimira imagined she could almost taste the victory on her lips. It was time.
With a look behind her, Kasimira barely glimpsed Tortuga's alabaster coat before she was out of sight. His love empowered her. She would make her mate proud. She would be victorious.
I'm sorry, m'love...

Tortuga Tortuga could remember a time, years ago, when his mother and father would cuddle close and he would wrinkle his little nose at the affection passed between them. His mother would laugh, watching him with an amused expression. "One day, Tortuga, you'll fall for a pretty little thing and you won't be wrinkling your nose then!" He had given her a stubborn shake of his head, his expression aghast as he adamantly protested to her words. He would never settle down with an icky girl, he'd said. He didn't even like his sister, for Iudex's sake! How did his mother think he would ever tolerate snuggles and nuzzles from a female? He nearly chuckled aloud. Lo and behold, his mother had been very correct, as usual. He had always protested to everything she tried to tell him, and so far, she had been right every single time. As the years passed, he found it amusing to see how things played out as she said they would. If he and Kasimira had pups, would they be the same way, 'ew'ing and scrambling away from the sight of their parents together? Was every pup like that? Ah, here Tortuga was, already thinking of puppies and how they would be behaving. He really would have liked to start a little family. "Tortuga, I regret having to leave, but I have been challenged by another Alpha for a sklavin. I will go and fight him and return home as soon as possible, okay?"Her words brought him back to reality, his expression slightly alarmed as she stood. "A challenge? Be careful, please." His words were laced with concern, but at the same time, admiration. He knew that Kasimira could hold her own in a fight. He saw the regret in her eyes, and he knew his own must have mirrored this. He hated that she had to go so soon, but she had duties as an Alpha, and he could't expect her to drop everything for him. That would have been foolish on his part. So he nodded, genuinely hoping that the damage she would suffer in the fight would be minimal. He didn't want to see her injured at all, but it was to be expected from a challenge. No canine walked away unscathed, or at least none that he had ever encountered. Even he himself bore a few scars, generally across his muzzle. ""I'm so sorry, love. I'll be home as soon as I can. Promise. Irrsin, our pack, lays directly east. You can't miss it." She licked his muzzle then, and then she was off. For a long moment, he watched her. She was so very regal and beautiful, and he was quite fond of her personality, too. When he could no longer see her, he sighed. He missed her already, as love-struck as that made him seem. But he would see her again soon enough, and he would be overjoyed then. For now, he had something to do. He got to his feet, shaking the stray dirt and grass from his light colored fur. To the east her territory rested, and to the east he looked now. He would know when he was upon it, for her knew her scent already, and it would surely be there. Snorting, he took a few steps before his gait turned to a trot and then to a sprint. He pushed his way back up the mountain, his path angled towards where she had directed him, head held high and eyes alert as he ran. The brute was headed for Irrsin.
