JAVAAR
Beneath the rising pale moon strode two verdant orbs that glistened in the fading light over the land. It was all that could be seen of the creature for his ashen fur blended in almost picture perfectly with the surrounding terrain as if nature herself had placed him there. Scanning the forest-rich landscape, a large, sharp toothed grin grew over the dark coated wolf, thoughts raced through his mind at a startling pace.
"Yes, this is the place..."
The male's voice trickled off into the darkness that lapsed over him, consuming his image into the shadows, as if he was one of their own. This land was perfect. Dense in greenery, compelling in the way the trees were thickly positioned, a safeguard, a home. A sudden wave of confidence and urgence came over him and a howl grew deep inside his stomach. This howl grew with such intensity, there was no possible way that he could suppress it any longer.
And with that, an incredibly voluminous howl bellowed across the land, a howl that would let even the greatest alpha know that it would be the best idea to get this wolf on their side and in the highest position possible, He had come here to join, yes. But not just to join. To advise, lead under the Alpha. With a swift flick of his ears the male sat down, waiting for the one known as Vernado to come trotting through the trees. To his pack's new future.
Javaar was not uncertain that he would receive the position. He was, after all, an incredible fighter. He just needed a pack to back him up. As the moon began to rise higher in the sky Javaar waited with patience, his glowing eyes like stars in the dark depths of the forest.

Vernado Do you recognize the face in the [ m i r r o r ] looking back at you?[/center] Sleep evaded him as it always did. The male refused to give into his delinquent dreams that would only bring up the past. He took to a small incline of a hill, observing the moon in its glory as it shed its eerie pale light upon his land. It felt ominous to a degree but the Alpha was calm in the beauty that stretched before him. It wasn’t quiet in the least as his grayed ears twitched at the noises created by the nocturnal creatures. Owls swooped in for the kill of rodents and crickets rose in their symphonies to acquire more of an audience than their previous show the night before. He listened with ease as mocha colored eyes took in the moon that hung far out of his reach.
He was sure that Merona was asleep, gone into her slumber that held her steadfast in its grasp. If not, he would enjoy her silent company but the female had been sleeping soundly in a den the last time he checked in on her. To ensure he was correct, his eyes swept casually over his shoulder to the nearest den and nodded to himself that her tan figure was content within the walls of the carved out den. Vernado’s head turned back around, still staring upon the moon as if fixated with the glowing object in the black oblivion above. With a resigned sigh, he peeled away from it as though he were annoyed and irritated with it. It was then that the peace of the night was broken by a howl. His eyes snapped towards the forest, pinpointing the general direction in where the source had come from. A gentle growl escaped his lips as his muscles tensed at the unknown wolf within his borders.
With one final glance to Merona, the hulking figure dawned in gray took off into the forest. His body sprang effortlessly into action, massive paws hitting the ground without a sound as he had acquired such skills in his olden days. His stealthy movements made him undetectable to the unsuspecting victim which, often times rendered them helpless as he lunged for the throat to end their life without reason. His legs overworked the lands, strides greedily moving over the surface of the earth to get closer to where the howl had risen. He was slightly unseen in the darkness of night with the shades of gray lingering on his body to make Vernado identifiable, though with the sparse lighting of the moon, he was almost cloaked in darkness.
A gentle inhale of the air and Vernado’s body jolted to an immediate halt at the leering eyes in the darkness with a gentle exhale, he observed the male. His eyes were as empty as usual, holding a bit of cold and lifeless sheen to them. Strands of sinew flexed and rolled beneath his coat and he snorted to himself. Lips parted to address the stranger with a bit more emotion found in his voice. ”Why have you come?” The way it was spoken seemed rather harsh but Vernado wasn’t one to beat around the bush, especially with how small his pack was and having left behind his only member. His eyes were steady as he surveyed the male, wondering if he was a trusted friend or foe that would be chased off his land. He would soon find out.
Ooc: No worries! =: )
