STAFF AUDITIONS -- MODERATORSYes, we are finally looking for some moderators around here. Myself and Kirs decided upon 2 moderators, posibly 3. We'd like two regular and one head moderator, but if we only find two we'd like to accept, we will probably just have regular mods. If you would like to apply, simply fill out the form! We'd like your answers to be as truthful as possible, even if they aren't the "correct" answers. We want to know the real you. We need dedicated, respectful people to add to our team! Have questions? Post them here or pm myself or Kirs. Goodluck and thanks!

List some traits you'd like to see in our moderators: friendly, willing to help out when needed, available to ask questions to, help members, polite
Do you think you have those qualities? Why? being in a different timezone means i am online when most are not, so i can get things done quickly. i am also a friendly person and have been told i have an easy going attitude towards helping people.
Reason why you'd like to be considered as a Moderator: i have owned various sites in my time, and have modded a few as well. i know various code locations and have been creating skins for various sites for a long time.
Any previous sites you've modded on? Links: fallen-star.proboards.com { was a mod there before i had to leave due to school pressure } xtildeath.proboards.com { my own site } levitaianon.proboards.com { mod } foreverisover.proboards.com { mod }
Will you be dedicated to being active? i have quite a lot of free time, and unless work gets in the way, i will be as active as possible
Scenario: Two members have been fighting over a slave. Member A claimed the slave first, but Member B posed a challlenge. How would you resolve this? if both members wanted the same slave, then i would ask them to create a 'fight' thread. it would be the fairest way to solve the issue, without the bias of 'first come first served'. that way, both members would have a fair chance.

List some traits you'd like to see in our moderators: Do you think you have those qualities? Why? I believe that mod should be kind, and helpful to the site, they should also be active, and not abuse their rank as mod, just because they are so. I believe that I hold these qualities, because I make my best effort to be active on any site that I am on, and I give multiple chances before punishing anyone, and never out of bounds of what I am supposed to do. If it involves a multiple time offender i'll report to an admin, unless given specific orders on what to do in that sentance. I do not try to change others, I only make corrections, and point them in the right direction to help them improve. If anyone comes to me with a question, I'll try my best to answer it if I know the answer, otherwise I'll point them in the direction of someone who does know the answer. I try not to steer members wrong, so I don;t take chances on getting something wrong seeing as that causes trouble not only for the member in question, but the staff that has to correct it.Reason why you'd like to be considered as a Moderator: I have been a staff helper on many sites before they have gone inactive, as well as manned my own sites before they too have lost activity. I am an active member, even if I don't post I do check in. And Have been told that I am very helpful to others, whether in real life, or just helping with information around the site. I have also been rping for about 5+ years, and understand the genral rules of RP sites, and have the capability to adapt those rules to fit in with the unique rules of the sites that I mod on.Any previous sites you've modded on? Links: scarlettears - [Tibblet, Co-admin/skin designer] Abanddoned - [Shadow, Admin] Halcyon - [Bones, Global mod] Silence - [Vice, Mod] Will you be dedicated to being active? I can promise my best activity, over the summer, durring the school year, so long as my grades don't suffer from my role playing I can promise it then as well, but I will not be on as fequent, due to my being a high school Junior.Scenario: Two members have been fighting over a slave. Member A claimed the slave first, but Member B posed a challlenge. How would you resolve this? I would have the two member pose a fight, so that everyone gets a fair shot in the RP. I hate the 'first come, first serve' rule, because it is unfair to newer members to the site. (sorry if this sounds like Thirteen's relpy, but this is how I would also solve said situation.

List some traits you'd like to see in our moderators: Active, honest, responsible, unbiased, mediating, resourceful, able to contribute. My biggest concern with mods is them being biased toward certain members, but that's hard to avoid. Another is being overly sensitive/restrictive. They get egos bro. ... lookslikeeggoslol.
Do you think you have those qualities? Why?
Answering activity below. I'm fairly honest to my best judgement. I can have some issues in the responsibility area, but when other people are relying on me I always get stuff done. I try my best to see everything from multiple angles and am fairly agreeable with everyone even if their opinion differs from mine. I try to solve problems by getting each side of the argument and attempting to find an even ground. The contribution part is something I'm not the best at, but if given a springboard I can usually come up with some creative ideas. Mods are pretty much there to keep the peace and do some of the grunt work the admins don't have time for.
Reason why you'd like to be considered as a Moderator: I have no life half of the time and just lurk around on the internet. I'm used to being a mediator and the therapist for my friends on more than one occasion so I'm used to dealing with hissyfits, irrational people, and the general friend fights. I'm also a pretty easy-going person and know that people deserve to have their say and no one is automatically wrong. I'm a debater so I know how to not get overly emotional during arguments, usually. I'm hoping that being a moderator will help me contribute to this site as well as give me some responsibility to keep me here. I'm also pretty helpful and friendly for people who are openly asking for help. And I'm usually lurking somewhere on the Cbox.
Any previous sites you've modded on? Links: Most of the sites kinda. Died. But I've been a mod on two sites before.Warriorpawz and Fursona Marks.
Will you be dedicated to being active? I'll try my best to. In the past I haven't been all that good at keeping active on RP sites for reasons other than time, but this time I'm making sure I do. It's my way of trying to get me to stick with something longer than a month. However during July I'll be at debate camp so I won't be on as much, but I'll still have internet and my lappy to check in and do modly things. And post possibly. I've been on every day I think since I've joined and kept up with my posts, logs, and studio. Got alllll my ducks in a row. |C
Scenario: Two members have been fighting over a slave. Member A claimed the slave first, but Member B posed a challlenge. How would you resolve this?:
FIRST SOLUTION: Allow Member A to claim the slave but they must accept Member B's challenge. If Member A claimed the slave first then it's theirs because of posting order, but a challenge is a challenge and they have to fight for it. Terms would be winner would get the slave, loser gets nothing. It fits the rp best if that happened.
SECOND SOLUTION: Allow neither member to claim the slave. Place both wolves in the fight area and have them duke it out. Whomever wins gets the slave, the loser gets nothing. This also may follow the order of the rp if the challenge was posed in rp right after Member A was claiming the slave.
THIRD SOLUTION: Allow the slave owner to choose who the slave goes to. It is their character after all. Consult them and then do whatever they suggest, or provide options for them. The moderator should help and work with them to find a solution. Preferably the choice wouldn't be randomly chosen and should have reasons for why slave should go with Member A or Member B's wolf.
Do whatever seems to fit with both fairness, common sense, and the flow of the rp. It also depends on the people. More sensible members could deal with solution 1 and an actual mini-plot might be created even to solve their problem. Both Member A and Member B would get time with the slave, the confrontation would make sense, and everyone would end happily ever after. However for more whiney "BUT MOOOOOM ;A; I WANT THE SLAVEEEEE~" (Yes, that's how they sound to me.) members, solution 2 would solve it the fastest. Solution 3 would probably not go over well with the immature members as they would claim the slave owner or mod was "playing favorites" and should stick with solution 2.
Thank you for reading this long-winded application. < 3
