Malaya
"Like a bird with broken wings, it's not how high he flies, but the song he sings..."
this is me in the flesh,
NAME:Malaya
NICKNAME(S):Laya, Mal
PRONUNCIATION:mah LAE yah
POSITION: Free-Roamer
taste the sky,
AGE:
GENDER:Female
BREED:Himalayan
HEIGHT:24 in.
APPEARANCE: Laya is a short-statured female wold with heavy, fuzzy hair that is the color of sand with back tints. Her eyes are unnaturally beautiful with a green ring around the pupil and a surrounding blue ring. Her orbs glisten in the light and have the ability to appear as though they see into your soul. Her limbs are long and strong while her torso is slender but muscular. Athletic but easy on the eyes, don't let her petite size fool you for she is quite able-bodied. Malaya's tail lies incredibly busy, evening out her wide muzzle with large fangs. Ears on her head point straight up with the flexibility to fly back. While her back has a natural more-than-slight curve in the back that only straightens when her medium length neck stretches down and forward in anger. To top Laya's look off, her small paws and claws rest on the ground with a trot in her step.
thoughts that make me go insane,
PERSONALITY: Malaya is a brilliant, strong-willed young wolf on the introverted side. Though often withdrawn and incredibly private about personal feelings, when a friend is threatened she'll to whatever it takes to defend them (which shows her loyalty). Laya doesn't trust easy and it takes much time for her to open up. But once you've earned her loyalty, it's hard to shake it. She is better at sticking up for others than herself but when needed she is strong and her values are unshakable. She is one who will only fight if necessary and will try to think of all possibilities to keep peace. Though incredibly smart and able to think from unheard of angles, Malaya lacks commonsense and often only notices small details while remaining oblivious to the obvious. She is kindhearted and thinks of others before looking at herself. Caring, shy, smart, unique, strong, these are the words that describe Malaya.
all over my shoulder,
FATHER: Volya
MOTHER: Irsa
SIBLINGS: none
HISTORY: Malaya's father and mother were respected free-roamers until they were captured and turned into slaves. They were tortured on a day to day basis and when Irsa realized she was pregnant, she panicked knowing her pup would be killed on the spot. Volya and Irsa attempted to escape 3 times, each they were caught and tortured within an inch of their life. Finally Volya realized there was no chance in escaping without a distraction. He decided to sacrifice himself their next escape plan, not telling Irsa knowing she would disapprove. So when they started to leave the land Volya stayed behind and told Irsa he would catch up later. However as Irsa got away, Volya was caught. Seeing how he refused to tell where Irsa had gone he was killed. By the time Irsa, calming down from the rush of escape, realized that Volya wasn't coming, she was out of the Alpha's reach. A few days later Irsa gave birth, rarely, to only one pup. Irsa named her Malaya, which means free. The two wandered alone for some time. Laya had a lonely but comfortable beginning to her life. When she was a little older Laya and her mom joined a pack of other free-roamers which Laya's grandparents were a part of. Here Malaya found other pups her age to socialize with. But unfortunately one of the free-roamers used to be a free pack member to the group Irsa and Volya belonged to. Said wolf went back to the Alpha and sold Irsa out. Some wolves came a few days later to kill Irsa. Irsa sent Laya to hide just in time, but Malaya saw the wolves brutally kill her mother from her hiding place between two rocks. Laya was never the same and after the incident ran off into the forested mountains and stayed alone for some time until her grandfather found her and brought her pack. She was raised by her grandparents from then on. Once she reached the age of maturity she set off to try and find herself, going back to see her grandparents whenever she got a chance.
