Fidgeting restlessly the small white half breed glanced nervously around her at the territory around her. Amber eyes shifting nervously about her. This was a young female wolf by the name Estel. She had been traveling for a few days now trying to find the pack of Irrsin.
She breathed a shaky sigh as she tried to get her nerves together. This is what got to her. Being alone, even for a few moments. The old wolf had said that she would be fine, that she would be found soon. Soon, when was soon?
It was getting dark now and the white half blood forced herself to keep moving. Every snap of twigs around her or even under her own paws made her jump from her nerves. It was a childish fear of here's of being alone? Or was it really? Estel had a messed up life full of misunderstanding, pain, and fear of abandonment. Was that all her life was going to be? I mean she needed to grow up and stop being so paranoid about-
She whimpered when she heard something moving to her right. Snapping her train of thought. She instantly ducked behind the first thing she could find. A semi-thick tree. 'Oh nice one Estel. So mature hiding behind a tree' she mocked herself but she didn't move from her curled up position.
Her small body was all but a white poofball against the base of the tree. Her face, masked with dark grey markings was tucked under her fluffy tail. 'Perhaps whoever is there may pass by thinking I'm just a patch of snow or something.' She offered herself some reassurance.
'No you idiot! They'd easily catch your scent. Besides what patch of snow would be shaking like a leaf?' It was true. So nerve wrecking was this entire thing that poor Estel was at the edge of having a panic attack and shook like a leaf. Regardless she dare not look to see who was there. Forgetting she was in the land of the Irrsin pack. It never occurred to her that whomever was coming could be from the very pack she wished to belong to.

Night had just fallen on the lands as a red and grey brute slunk between the skinny trees that dotted Irrsin's southernmost landscape. He was just over a year old and although inexperienced, more than willing to show both his alphas and the pack that he was ready to be accepted as a member all the same. Tonight was a routine border check with Lanze and Dresna, and Adler lead the group, sniffing accordingly from tree to tree to catch the scent of unwelcome wolves or even possibly some prey to return home with. As it was, he kept coming up empty. Winter had already fallen harsh on the lands and food in general had been scarce. Deer hadn't been seen in a few moons and Adler's stomach grumbled irritation at the thought of warm blood and the thrill of hunting that he soon would be granted. This was the last stepping stone before the hunt. Out of all the markers in a young pup's life, the first hunt was the most important, and like his brother, Adler was more than ready to be given that honor with his family.
Adler, his nose stuck to the ground as he moved, pulled up sharply as a new scent hit him. He narrowed his eyes before leaning down to consider it again. Definitely female, but it didn't seem to be anyone in Irrsin. She smelled like thick forests and the land beyond, and Adler woofed softly at his companions before following the lead, ears pricked forward in excitement. Maybe there'd be an intruder that the group of them would have to scare off! Or maybe it was a challenger for Kasimira... Adler moved swiftly around the trees as they thickened into the last remnants of Irrsin grounds. His tail, in all the internal excitement had raised rather offendingly, but Adler was oblivious and trotted on. Rounding a near bend in the forest, Adler knew she was close and picked up the pace. "She should be be right about-oof!" Adler stumbled rather ungracefully into the she-wolf he'd been scenting out, coming to rest with his nose pushed awkwardly into hers. He blinked twice before blushing heavy under his coat and scrambling backwards. He moved back between Dresna and his brother and snarled loudly and viciously.
She was clearly trespassing. But after a moment to look over the female, Adler noticed the thinness of her body and the remaining traces of puppy legs and ears. Not much of a challenge. He quieted himself slowly, forcing the hair on his neck and shoulders to relax before casting a sidelong glance at the other two. He'd let Lanze or Dresna make the call on this one.

Lanze This was it. The task, the patrol, the hurdle to jump before he would be allowed to hunt with his kin. The mountain to conquer before he would run with his packmates. It would all be downhill from here; no more climbing and struggling to prove himself. He'd be thought of less as a sprouting yearling - even though he still very much was - and more an oncoming adult. Granted, he still possessed some of the spindly legs and patches of soft fur... and he had yet to shoot those last few inches he'd longed for, but these shortcomings were easily dismissed for now because Lanze was ready for tonight's task. Soon, Lanze would be a man, a valued member of the pack, looked up to as an adult rather than cood at like some pup still huddled to his mother's belly. Truly, Lanze was ecstatic for this patrol, marching behind his brother's larger frame with a spring in his step that he secretly prayed would aid him in his lacking stature. He tried to conceal the excitement, tried to suppress the energy flowing in his veins, tried not to look the eager fool next to the she-wolf walking next to him. Too many times was he caught glancing her way, only to crack a smile that he hoped was somewhat dashing when she caught him. Dresna was a pretty specimen and it didn't seem to click in Lanze's head that she was vastly out of his league for a myriad of reasons. Maybe, if tonight was a success, she would think more highly of him. "She should be be right about-oof!"Too distracted with his own mind and the pretty white thing striding next to him, Lanze could only whip his head around when Adler went silent, only to see a dark blur that looked suspiciously like his brother scrambling back between him and the Irrsin princess. He blinked profusely only now to notice they had indeed discovered something in the dark. Funny, he didn't remember smelling them. A bright form sat cowering beside a spindly tree that was far too small to conceal her. A young thing she was, probably no older than himself. She was larger than him, too, he noted dismally. "Shut up, Adler," he snapped at his startled, snarling brother. "You'll provoke her. Don't know what these outsiders are capable of," a joke was the latter, mostly, and Lanze looked again to regard the mysterious wolf.

DRESNA
TEXT | SPEECH | THOUGHT
While it was very much a typical night of patrolling for Dresna, it was a cause for celebration for the two Irrsin males who padded along beside her. It was their last patrol before they could finally mingle with the pack for their first hunt, something that would signify their transformation into mature adults that could be trusted with such things. Dresna could remember a year ago when she had done the same, running beside her siblings and parents with the glee of an unburdened pup who had not a single care in the world. Things were so different now that the traces of her puppy stage had long ago faded, giving way to a more slender frame with noticeable curves and a face that more delicate that innocent. She was old enough to handle herself completely now, although she did still very much enjoy participating in pack activities, and old enough to carry pups – physically, anyways. This was an idea that had always unnerved her, for she could not fathom the look on her parent’s faces should her belly begin to swell.
Despite this, it seemed as if she wasn’t the only one who had noticed her womanly developments. Occasionally Dresna would spare a glance in the direction of her companions, only to find Lanze’s eyes glued on her frame and a wide grin on his muzzle. After perhaps the fourth time she began to find it amusing, and briefly considered shooting a wink in his direction before deciding that it would be best not to provoke him. To his brother’s credit, Adler seemed to barely notice her presence, focused entirely on the task ahead of them. The antics of both were entertaining to say the least; at least she would not be able to claim boredom.
Admittedly Dresna wasn’t trying very hard to play the part of the diligent patroller – she left that up to Lanze and Adler, who had done less patrols than she had, and perhaps who still found the job slightly enjoyable. That was why when Adler spoke, stumbling to a halt over something in his way, she came to an abrupt halt and narrowed her blue eyes at the little lump in the snow. She flicked a single ear in response to Adler’s alarmed snarl, too occupied by attempting to make out the form of the stranger to reassure him. It was Lanze’s voice that broke the silence first, disdainful at first and then good-natured immediately afterwards.
"Shut up, Adler. You'll provoke her. Don't know what these outsiders are capable of.”
Dresna frowned, taking a single step closer to the stranger. Judging by the scent that she caught, it was clearly a female, and it didn’t take Dresna long to realize that she was young and terrified. Shooting a single glance over her shoulder to calm the rowdy males behind her, she lowered her head very close to the female, who looked to be only slightly younger than Adler and Lanze.
”How did you come to find yourself in Irrsin, little one?” She asked calmly, her voice steady and sure. ”And what is it that you are called?”

She was terrified. That was clearly dutifully noted by her slight shake of her small body. She wanted so badly to just turn invisible, or have the ground swallow her whole. She curled into herself more praying that they would pass her. She didn't dare look up to see if or what they where. She didn't realize how close they where until she heard a voice and second later someone tripping over her. She yelped in surprise and uncurled herself from the impact to find her amber eyes staring at a young male no older then she was. Then realized their position about the same time he seemed to and they both scrambled back. Her cowering against the tree once more as she panted from her multiple frights in less then a minute. Wide sparkling amber eyes stared at the three in front of her from her bowed position. Eyes flickering between the three under thick lashes. She flinched when the male who ran her over began snarling at her making her ears lay flat on her head giving her a kicked puppy kind of look. She was not sure what to make of them until the only female in the group; who seemed to be more of the leader as well as the most reasonable; came closer and crouched to her level. She merely stated at the pretty she-wolf before her. Her ears slightly raising as she spoke. "M-my name is E-Estel." She stammered. Her voice was timid but musical. "Your from the Irrisin Pack are you?" She perked up a bit more at that. "I...I was sent here to find someone so I could join. M-my grandfather s-said it was a good pack to join..." She lowered her gaze bash fully. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to intrude on your territory. B-but I didn't know how I could find an Irrisin pack member without doing so." She mumbled. "And s-sorry for making you trip." She gave a tiny smile to Adler. Ὀδύσσεια♐, »Image, ⋆Ravɛn

"Shut up, Adler. You'll provoke her. Don't know what these outsiders are capable of,"
Lanze's scathing voice was sharp as it cut into Adler and his ears immediately plastered themselves to his head. He paused before rolling his golden eyes and was half tempted to stick a tongue out at his brother, but settled smugly and silently instead on that fact that from where he stood he could see the little tuft of red fur that his brother was always fussing with, defiantly sticking out again. In his relationship with Lanze, the little, unspoken victories were the ones that Adler relished most.
Dresna had already moved forward a pawstep, her ears pricked and focused on the female; Just when Adler flicked his own ears forward, the white she-wolf's icy glimpse sent them flattening back again. She hadn't meant it maliciously--that simply wasn't Dresna--but the fur on Adler's neck rippled uncomfortably at the uncanny resemblances he was beginning to notice between the white heiress and her black alpha mother. There was only a change in pelt color between them, and he quickly shrugged the thoughts away. Kasimira was strong for Irrsin, that much he knew. And in that same respect to time, Dresna would be as well.
”How did you come to find yourself in Irrsin, little one? And what is it that you are called?”
"M-my name is E-Estel. You're from the Irrsin Pack, aren't you?"
Estel. Adler tested it in his mind as he stared at the young wolf. And then, after realizing what she had said, he chimed in happily, his eyes glittering mild puppy excitement. "Yup, we're Irrsin wolves!" Pridefully, he continued on. "We're the strongest pack that's for sure," As if on que, Adler puffed out his chest slightly and proceeded to parade around Lanze before halting in front of his brother as Estel continued speaking.
"I...I was sent here to find someone so I could join. M-my grandfather s-said it was a good pack to join... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude on your territory. B-but I didn't know how I could find an Irrsin pack member without doing so. And s-sorry for making you trip."
At Estel's tiny grin, one of Adler's ears cocked to the side and he felt an odd warmth spread across his cheeks. Lightly flustered, he grinned wide and began to look suddenly interested in the scenery of the place. "Sorry for growling at you, Estel. I thought you were an intruder," he mumbled. A moment of thought and he added softly, "I mean, like a real intruder." The golden eyes blinked slowly down, softly considering the snow powdered ground in front of his paws for a moment as he shuffled awkwardly. Sometimes it was hard, speaking in front of everyone, and at times it overwhelmed the young male.
"Wait, you want to join Irrsin? That'd be great!" And just like that, Adler's voice sprung and switched gears from only moments before as he trotted over to join Dresna at the shoulder. The she-wolf's shoulder was just a speck higher than his, but he didn't seem to notice as he mused how to help Estel join the pack ranks. She'd have to talk to Kasimira and Tortuga for sure. For now they'd take her in... right? Or would they leave her here and come back with the alphas? Confused on what to do, Adler whined softly, very softly at Dresna. Decisions never were his strongest suit.

Lanze The smug quirk of the maw hadn't escape Lanze's notice and he glowers furiously at his brother, bristling a little as he tries desperately to search for what he found so amusing. As easily as he'd caught the look, however, Lanze was completely oblivious to one of his remaining patches of puppy fur being uncooperative again. He had to settle on merely glaring defiantly, hoping it was only another trick to prod him into fidgeting with himself in front of Dresna for no reason. And as quickly as his eyes had found his smugness they had settled back on the Irrsin princess and then to their company. In that brief flash of embarrassment Lanze had momentarily forgotten they had indeed discovered someone. The stranger was shaking, stuttering out her words in an unbecoming manner that had Lanze swapping from slight contempt to a sweeping grin. A cute little thing, despite her size, and Lanze instantaneously concluded that she would be no threat. Perhaps of the same mindset, Dresna had stepped forward to handle the whole ordeal with poise and ease and surety. It was easy to marvel at the snowy she-wolf handling things in such a delicate manner with her two one handsome knight standing resolutely in the background, ready to jump forth should he be needed. Seeming unconcerned with who might catch him, the yearling cannot help the prolonged observation of her hips and that soft, luxurious winter coat. If he were only a few inches taller... Suddenly the abrupt interruption of Adler's excitement had him yanked from his reverie. Blinking profusely, Lanze shifted between his brother and the young female cowering by the tree. There was the most minuscule spark in the air, palpable even to Lanze who was not involved. He could easily imagine the heat of embarrassment spreading through Adler as his eyes drifted about the area. As a wry smile spreading across Lanze's lips he nudged the other male with his shoulder. "Looks like someone fancies you, brother. What a turn of luck!" He tittered a laugh whilst resisting the urge to double over in his mockery. Instead, he was suddenly springing forward and past Dresna to come alongside this 'Estel.' Lanze always had been bold of character and a stark contrast to his sibling. Where Adler was large yet reserved before others, Lanze seemed far too big for his own pelt. Without so much as a consideration for Estel or the two others there to watch, he slides up along her, pressing his side and cheek against her own, personal space be damned. He breaths heavily, breath most probably tickling her nose. "You'll love him, Estel," he says excitedly, "honestly, you should see him with the ladies. A charmer, that one." Oh, he was so amused with himself that he wasn't sure if he was attempting to aide his brother in snatching a friend or embarrass him further.

DRESNA
TEXT | SPEECH | THOUGHT
Tuning out the bickering of Adler and Lanze was not quite as easy as Dresna would have hoped, partially because it was so amusing. She frowned, creeping just slightly closer to the young she-wolf to catch the words that she uttered. Estel, Dresna thought, repeating the name silently to herself. It was a lovely name, and although it was a shame that Estel seemed positively terrified, Dresna was sure that she would loosen up with time. For that was why she’d come, Dresna realized as Estel posed a question. It was clear that she had come searching for Irrsin specifically, and she’d found them.
"Yup, we're Irrsin wolves! We're the strongest pack that's for sure.” Adler was the first to answer her, his voice pitched high with pride. He wasn’t entirely wrong, so Dresna didn’t bother correcting him. Irrsin currently had the highest population of all the packs, although if rumors were correct, a new dominor had made Regnen his home. Regardless, her parents did not seem to think of him as a threat, so neither did Dresna.
"Wait, you want to join Irrsin? That'd be great!"
Dresna shook her thoughts away, realizing sheepishly that she’d missed something Adler had said, although her expression remained smooth and impassive. It was his last statement that mattered, and perhaps he realized he’d spoken too soon, for he turned to face her with a soft whine in his throat. Before she could utter a word however, Lanze was strutting forward to brush against Estel, offering teasing words to provoke his brother. Flicking one of her ears back in dismay, Dresna stepped forward to place herself between Lanze and Estel, attempting to subtly move him away from the newcomer by backing her actions with a flirty drawl.
”And all along I thought you were the charmer,” she said to Lanze, inching sideways to give Estel space. It was a cheap shot and she knew it, but Dresna did what she needed to do. The last thing she wanted was for the poor thing to faint from fear, which looked like a very real possibility. She seemed to have relaxed slightly however, likely due to Adler’s friendlier demeanor. Dresna let her gaze remain on Lanze long enough for her interest to be believable before abruptly sobering and addressing Estel once more.
”My name is Dresna, and this is Adler and Lanze.” With each name she gestured to the males, her tone firm but gentle. ”I cannot officially welcome you into the pack, although I doubt the alphas will turn you away.” She didn’t bother specifying that they were her parents. Dresna had never been fond of haughtily dropping names, and now was no different.
”However, you will be welcome and safe in Irrsin until you speak with them. Are you hungry?” It was all she could do, and likely what her parents would have preferred, anyways. And if Estel did happen to be fond of the idea of food, she had a suspicion that Adler and Lanze would be more than happy to chase down a hare, likely while competing over it the entire time.

Estel giggled cutely at Adler's emberessment and flashed him another smile. He surprised her at his sudden hyper demeanor and pride but smiled genty at his eagerness. He seemed quite proud of his pack. And probably other good reason too. Her thoughts where interrupted when the second male, Lanze came up to her and invaded her space. She flushed in emberessment at his close proximity. True she was more fond of males due to her up bringing but she had never been this close to one before asides from her father. And frankly it was making her very flustered. She tried to stutter out a sentence as her amber eyes darted between both males. Crushing? How ridiculous, she didn't have a crush on th young male and she was most certainly sure he didn't have one on her of all wolves. They where just surprised and flustered by their sudden meet. She looked over at the older female as she subtly maneuvered herself between her and the male, Lanze to give her space which she gladly and gratefully took. Scooting a few pawsteps away from the two before sitting back down. Watching their interactions with curious eyes until the female turned back to her to introduce them. So Adler was the run who ran into her, Lanze the space invader, and Dresna the pretty female. She mentally nodded to herself and memorized their names. She snapped out of her thought when Dresna spoke again. So she could stay for the time being? That was a relief. She hated being alone. Symptoms of tragic past. She gave Dresna a grateful smile and nodded. "Thank you. I don't know what I'd have done if you didn't find me." She spoke softly looking down. Was she hungry? Was the next question. "Uhh y-yes I am b-but I can hunt myself I-it's no problem" she stuttered in emberessment once more. She looked up at the three of them from where she crouched. Watching for their next movements and waiting for their next words. Tags: »Image, ⋆Ravɛn, Ὀδύσσεια♐ Notes: daww they're so cute.

"Looks like someone fancies you, brother. What a turn of luck!"
For the third time in a shorter span than a rabbit's hop, Adler's ears pinned themselves back. He halfheartedly growled at his brother before leaning forward in protest. "No, that's not what I--" And then, before he had a chance to gather his thoughts, Lanze shifted his weight and lunged into step with Estel.
"You'll love him, Estel. Honestly, you should see him with the ladies. A charmer, that one."
Even with Estel stuttering in panic at Lanze's antics, Adler saw only his brother, inching closer to the white she-wolf. You fox-heart...! Still, Adler's breathing quickened with anxiety at Lanze's words and he went warm again under his coat before jumping more aggressively after the ruddy pelt. He didn't want Estel to think he was lovesick with her or that he flirted with females often! He didn't want her to think anything of him! Adler trotted ever faster after his brother, and just as he was about to pounce and claw the arrogance out of his mouth, Dresna intercepted.
"And all along I thought you were the charmer,”
Dresna, in all her white glory, knew how to use what she'd been given. Adler fell short of his goal and utterly forgot about pummeling Lanze in watch of her. She sidled up against Estel, her voice supportive yet clear as she motioned at the two males respectively. When his name was spoken, Adler simply blinked silence at the new she-wolf. The air had calmed as they stood--now he could finally get a good look at the new member, err, (potential member) without Lanze getting in the way.
For starters, her ears seemed just a tad small for her body, but Adler found himself almost fond of them on the she-wolf's petite face. Her white fur, although dirty at the moment, still stood in contrast to the light grey mask that circled her face. It made Adler quiver for resemblance, and he vaguely felt a certain bit of him relax in spite of Lanze's previous teasing. With those light amber eyes for distinction, she was actually very cute and Adler visibly forced himself not to appear as if he was staring.
”I cannot officially welcome you into the pack, although I doubt the alphas will turn you away. However, you will be welcome and safe in Irrsin until you speak with them. Are you hungry?”
Are you hungry? Dresna's words repeated in the young male's mind and he stuck on that idea, ears pricking at the mere thought of food. Excitement radiated from Adler's body, the energy coiled tight like a spring as he bounced at Dresna's side, tongue lolling to the side. But before he could consider what to hunt or how, Estel's quivering voice lifted into the air.
"Uhh y-yes I am b-but I can hunt myself I-it's no problem."
"Nonsense! We can hunt together!" Adler, in all his enthusiasm, was quick to try and reassure the female and his gaze was easy going and sincere. "If you're joining Irrsin you'll be hunting with us everyday. Why not start now?"
Silence. After a moment, Adler realized how quick he'd been to speak and he grinned sheepishly, shrugging off the tension. He turned around and started sniffling off in the other direction, paw steps sure and definitive. This was something he knew. This was something he could do. Even if he stumbled on words, said the wrong things, or didn't say anything at all... He could hunt. Snowfall crunched under paw and as he moved further away from the group, Adler remembered faintly to pause. Waiting for the group, he could practically taste the rabbit from where he stood.

Lanze Not at all surprising, Lanze found his attempts to provoke his brother to be very fruitful. Adler looked flabbergasted one moment and irritated the next, like he wanted to claw Lanze's eyes out himself. He cackled again, unsure if he was upset by the suggestive comments or the fact it was him that was confident enough to get closer than ten feet to... well, any she-wolf. "It's okay brother, your secret's safe with me." What he was implying was up for debate and he did not go further than a wry smile. He chuckled profusely but this laughter died when the oldest of the bunch came padding their way. His heart jumped into his throat and his eyes went wide momentarily, always mesmerized by the bright coat as he suddenly remembered she was there. Perhaps, had it been anyone else, Lanze might have felt the interruption offensive as Dresna sidled between him and the other yearling, brushing him away, but his mind went completely in the other direction. As long as she was closer to him he didn't care that she was obviously spoiling his fun. He cast her his best smile, the heat warming beneath his pelt that made him feel like a flustered pup. Her feigned affections were not in vain. So easily sidetracked by any suggestion the princess put forth, Lanze instantaneously forgot about Estel or his previous attempts to incite his brother's fury. Hunting? Hunting was his area of expertise! Soon he would be welcomed on hunts with the entire pack for surely this night and their discovery proved the brothers were adept and ready. But why not show his skill now, while Dresna couldn't possibly overlook him? He cast her a sidelong glance, as if waiting for her affirmation. Gods, did he love powerful she-wolves. Her authority sparked a giddy energy through his veins and he quivered slightly. She was still sitting between him and Estel and with the quick rove of his eyes and tail swaying thunderously behind him, Lanze jumped from the sitting position he'd slacked into and bounded away from the other trio before abruptly spinning around. He didn't hear Estel's hesitation and despite his constant jabbing at Adler, nodded vigorously along with what he said. His brother seemed on top of it already, lumbering away with his nose to the ground like a hound and the smaller male springing after him. Stealth be damned for rabbit were easily startled from ruckus and he wanted to chase. He was sure to be the first after it the moment one showed itself. Maybe they'd catch two and he could bring one back to Dresna for she could not yet deny a gift or his talents then! And as if on queue no sooner had this thought crossed his mind than a ball of panicked fur whizzed from a brush, startled more by Adler than himself. Goodness, tonight was a good night. Lanze panicked in his haste only for a moment before lurching forward. Adler had halted mere steps away, directly in his path but no matter. "Get outta my way!" He barged past him, nearly knocking himself over and stumbling once before he raced ahead of the others. NOTES: -shaking head at them all- | WORDS: 535 | TAG: ⋆Ravɛn »Image @valor

DRESNA
TEXT | SPEECH | THOUGHT
The smile that Dresna received in response to her maneuvering was nothing short of charming – young or no, Lanze would be a heartbreaker one day. Dresna almost felt bad for the way she played on his emotions, but she mentally vowed to take his affections more seriously in the future. Tonight, however, they had Estel to worry about. She was coming around now, something that Dresna was relieved to see. She was not the most capable when it came to dealing with wolves younger than herself, especially when the wolf in question was significantly younger. She must have had a year’s worth of experience on Estel, and while that did not seem too drastic, it was a world’s difference in Dresna’s eyes.
"Uhh y-yes I am b-but I can hunt myself I-it's no problem."
Estel’s response to her previous question was unexpected, but admirable. Before Dresna could even think of a response, Adler was dismissing the young she-wolf’s hesitance without as much as a flick of his paw. He was off with his nose pressed against the ground suddenly, and all Dresna could do was stare after him, her expression twisted in amusement. Lanze remained with them for only a moment before he was off as well, barreling past Lanze and stumbling in his haste. Dresna gave a laugh so soft that only Estel could have possibly caught it, turning to the younger she-wolf with a small smile on her face.
”There’s no use trying to stop them now. Lanze has spotted a hare,” she said with an elegant shrug of her narrow shoulders, gesturing with her nose for Estel to follow her as she followed the two males at a leisurely trot. She felt no desire to join their crazed chase for the hare; she would only end up falling all over them in their eager haste. Her feet made soft crunching noises in the snow as she went, occasionally tipping her head back to glance at a bright cluster of stars above her. She could hear the sounds of Lanze and Adler thundering across the meadow, and somewhere behind her, Estel followed. Irrsin was growing more and more with each day, and eventually it would be hers – many years down the line, to be sure, but regardless. One day it would be her who slept in the largest den beside whichever lucky brute she took as her mate, it would be her who made the decisions, who claimed the sklavins. It was an awful lot of responsibility, and it still made Dresna nervous and eager to run when she thought about it for too long. Already her bones itched with the desire, so she glanced towards Estel, her smile growing.
”Go on. Hunt with them,” she said before springing forward, lunging after Adler and Lanze. She made no move to interfere with their hunting or to join them. Instead she danced around the two, occasionally cutting the fleeing hare off to help them. Once or twice she brushed against the two just barely as encouragement, snapping her jaws playfully at Lanze’s legs and nudging Adler happily. One day she would run with the entire pack like this at the head of them, gleeful and unbound by all of her troubles. That was the one thing she had to look forward to.

Before she could even blink nor object Adler dismissed her protests and was already running away in hunting mode like an eager pup eager to please. She gave a giggle before her attention was returned to Dresna and Lanze before the reddish male was off running after his fellow packmate, tripping over his own paws making the little Snow White she-wolf smile in amusement. She hasn't known the three more then ten minutes and she already seemed to like them alot. That was dangerous for Estel. Because whenever she gets attached to someone, it'll be hard to dislodge her without either A-hurting her feelings or B-making her feel utterly abandoned. Granted Estel easily got attached and they don't know her problem and history about abandonment but the damage would still be extensive if Estel was rejected from the Irrisin pack. Her thoughts where snapped back into reality as Dresna spoke again and she easily followed the older female. Nothing was hurt but the snow under her feet and the distant noises of the two males hunting. The smaller female looked up at the heir of the Irrisin pack thoughtfully and noticed her distant gaze. She wished she could say something; ask what was on her mind. -after all Estel is quite observant despite her innocent personality, and is good at listening- but before she could even utter a word Dresna gave her the ok to go hunting and join the boys. She hesitated but when the older female took off after the trail the males left she had no choice but to follow her. She watched the interactions between the three longingly and albeit a bit sadly. Growing up she never had a connection like that. She was the runt of the litter, after her mother abandoned her with her siblings; leaving little Estel with her not-so-nice father. She always got the blame and the damage. It wasnt until tragic events happened that brought father and daughter into a mutual and loving relationship. Much like the way the three Irrisin wolves acted with each other. But he was dead. She didn't know she had stopped running until the three where out of sight. She couldn't see them but she could hear them. She sighed sadly. Would she ever get a chance at that kind of happiness and belonging? She never knew... "Get outta my way!"
At the shout of his brother and the sudden scent of rabbit, Adler's head snapped up, eyes searching the white lands for what all the commotion was about. ...There! Adler's golden eyes locked onto the rabbit scurrying across the snowfall. Before the young male could feel any sense of pride for his tracking skills however, Lanze's shorter frame roughly ran into his right side and sent Adler lurching to his left. While Lanze's frame wasn't enough to send him flying, Adler was thoroughly irritated with his brother's antics for the moment, and caught his fall before narrowing golden eyes at the diminishing russet wolf.
Adler growled his sentiments and immediately bounced off after Lanze, long legs pumping to catch up. His paws tossed a flurry of snow behind him as he ran, but he paid no attention, eyes trained onto the zigzagging pattern of the distressed rabbit. Pace by pace he reached further, his mind steadily pursuing a single goal. He had to catch the rabbit first. That would show his brother how much of a pushover he was! Closer and closer still he drew, his gait even with Lanze as they sprinted gleefully through the light snow. And then, just when he was about to reach out and grab the rabbit's neck, it abruptly changed directions and sent Adler sprawling headfirst into the ground. Snarling in frustration as he lay covered in the white powder, the young male hastily picked himself up and shook the snow from his coat. He made no scene of himself and promptly returned to his pursuit, still shaking his paws free of snow as he followed Lanze more carefully. He'd not make the same mistake twice! Adler nervously casted a glance over to where Dresna and Estel were trotting to join them, and he hesitated for a moment as he considered whether they'd seen his fall or not. Then he resolutely decided that, by the looks on their faces, they had not, and the jitters settled inside his ribs.
Estel would definitely be watching him now though. He felt her eyes as he transitioned into a trot, and his legs suddenly felt very heavy at the thought of catching the rabbit for her. Steadfastly, Adler lifted his chest as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened, and raced after his brother to continue their dance with the prey. This way, that way, they shifted, they pounced. Dresna soon drew forward to join the brothers, and although she wasn't personally hunting, the rabbit seemed utterly flustered and overwhelmed beneath their paw steps. Every once in a while as they switched their paces, Adler and Dresna would rub sides and the male responded with yips of pleasure. His eyes were wild with excitement, enthused and elated with Dresna's support and the happiness of the days events. Adler finally had an opening and moved to corner the rabbit. He raised his paws above him, but the last second, he barked furiously at the rabbit instead, and in it's terror, it ran straight into Lanze's waiting paws.
Adler leaned back on two legs and howled brilliantly into the skies, his front paws frisking the ground as he celebrated. They'd done it! The young male continued to frolic around his two packmates for a moment, tail waving violently. "Just think of what a real hunt will be like, Lanze!" Adler's eyes widened as he spoke, his voice pitched higher in his excitement. "You'll come up from the side and leap at it like this--" Leaping, Adler bared his teeth and began to impersonate Lanze attacking an imaginary deer. "And I'll be waiting in the bushes, and at the last possible moment I'll reach up and rip its throat out from--" Stopping in the air mid-claw, Adler blinked hesitantly before quirking a brow at the other two wolves.
"Hey, where'd Estel go?" The concern was obvious in Adler's voice, and as he dropped onto all fours again, he whined softly and glanced around the area. "She was just here..."
