Shard waited until auktion rock was far behind him, and while he didn’t respond to either of his sklavins poor behaviors he was certainly not ignoring them, just putting the deeds aside until he was ready to spend time on their quirks or outright rudeness or ignorance, whatever it may be. Somehow he strongly doubted it was ignorance. Finally the tree’s of his new home were insight, and then grew denser as they went deeper into his forest. The scents of so many forms of life, the sweet feeling of the grass under his paws, it was all welcome after that short visit to that horrid scrap of land.
He stopped a short ways off from where he’d chosen to make his den, to finally turn his attention to the two sklavins, “Phrino, charming name.” The words were offered rather casually for a dominor speaking to a sklavin, “tell me Phrino? How long have you been a sklavin?” The words were gentle, his muscles relaxed, and in truth after saying his bit his eyes turned to glance at Wicca as if Phrino’s answer wasn’t all that important.
“Excuse me, Mystic Wicca,” the name was said with the tone of a tolerant amused parent, “I would suggest you be careful. I know loves bite is harsh, and that Phrino has apparently driven you to the edge of sanity, but darling I prefer songs over rhymes, especially the rhymes that include me.” How long, Shard wondered, would it take to see inside the two wolves minds.
Did he truly believe Wicca to be a mental case? Well, he would be a lot more likely to believe it had he not seen her with Phrino earlier. Her passion, and focus she’d given Phrino suggested she wasn’t quite so lost in her mind. Still, there are many ways in which a mind works, far more than Shard could guess at, so while he sincerely doubted this was anything more than an act, it certainly was convincing enough to play along. However, if this was the part that she wanted to play, best make her play it well.
Shards ears flicked slightly at the sound of some song bird calling out, probably to its friends in higher up branches, and hearing the sound of something digging in the ground a short ways off. Life, far better than that hunk of rock. Shard was still quite pleased with the land he had found for himself, and was rather surprised that no wolf had challenged him to the claim for the land.

PHRINO "Phrino, charming name. Tell me Phrino, how long have you been a sklavin?”
Shard's calm demeanor smoothed over Phrino's ruffled pelt, his eyes lighting at the beginnings of small talk. The golden wolf had plodded obediently along at his master's side all the way from the Auktion Rock, no glance backwards, no glance into the past. Now was no different. His voice answered to one, excluded the other.
"Half a year, lord."
To be entirely honest, Phrino had no true idea of how long he had been enslaved. Personally, he had always found it easier to not dwell on the things he couldn't change. Then again, his need to dominate was not something that was an easy accommodation. It was a struggle to add the last bit, addressing Shard by the title of "lord", but Phrino forced himself to do it. He needed to play the willing, complacent sklavin, the reserved, tame follower. Maybe that would earn him his freedom.
“Excuse me, Mystic Wicca, I would suggest you be careful. I know loves bite is harsh, and that Phrino has apparently driven you to the edge of sanity, but darling I prefer songs over rhymes, especially the rhymes that include me.”
Hmph. Why should he care if that lying vixen was reprimanded for her behavior? It was out of line. He knew her actions were desperation driven, not mentally possessed. Still, he said nothing, closing his eyes as a cold winter wind howled through the trees. It had grown thicker through the land, the trees taller, intimidating in size and stature. As the rest of Shard's sentence processed through Phrino's mind, he stopped walking, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
Will power. Control. Phrino's breath deepened at his master's comment towards Wicca. The innuendo that she would create rhymes for this dominor--and on command no doubt--was a thought that lingered in his mind, the anger boiling. He had loved her, she was his. What else did he expect of her? A mate? Pups...? You're overreacting. He didn't mean it that way. Vainly he tried to reassure himself, the tensing of his muscles keeping his mind focused on walking. He didn't need to become involved in such a minor comment.
"So where are we exactly?"
His tone was rougher and more abrupt than he'd meant it to be. His blood was up, the fur raised on his neck, a glaring, haunting look in his golden eyes. One wrong move, and you'll see the wolf I was known for... Regardless of whether Wicca and him were on speaking terms, he was itching for a fight, a good rebel rouse to liven his day up.
"And what is your name, Alpha?"

WICCA Wicca's ears swiveled instinctively to catch the male's words, and she bit back a retort at his superior and mocking tone. Oh but see, Master Alabastar, She kept her tone light and teasing, adopting her rhyme as his name seeing as he had offered none- maybe this would nudge him towards giving his? It is not this child [this choice of words spit between her teeth like a foul curse] who has driven me crazy, but the wind of this blasted place of over-lording voices. Enough to make one quite mad. The golden wolfess chattered, skipping a few more steps before stopping dead to cock her ears and listen to the birds sing.
It has been so long since I heard a song as sweet as this! She murmured excitedly, eyes flashing with the first true emotion since her little "scene" with Phrino earlier. Then surprise as she noticed Phrino's voice and attitude change after the first brute's words, she swallowed quick hope that he might actually, God forbid- care for her. No, that had been quashed when he did not return her feelings, and then called her a traitor when she ran so swiftly to save him in the jail yard.
As they walked and her ears flicked about to capture the sound of the birds, the wind through the rustling trees, and the males' voices, her amber eyes moved to analyze her master closely. He was a deep gray, almost black in color, with a peppered white back leg and silvery eye brows. Sharp, calculating amber eyes shone coldly from beneath those strange brows, and Wicca wasn't sure what to make of him. The male wasn't much taller then her, but probably a good deal heavier, though her species made her somewhat blocky and large, her gender made her inferior in that sense, and that sense alone.
Beside the dull dust of him; Phrino's sandy coat was all the more drawing to the eye. Especially her eyes, which much preferred the heated desert's rolling dunes that he so reminded her of to this rocky, craggy place. The male's territory seemed a greener and more pleasant place, but it was wrought with thoughts of slavery, rules, and obeying- therefore the once hated sand and sun seemed much more pleasing to her mind. Thoughts of what could have been, if he had simply accepted and returned her love... Daydreams of them running side by side through the dunes and scraggly plants, chasing desert hare and deer; how she would have fought tooth and nail against his attempting capturers, and he against her's. Freedom, love, pups... A soft sigh filtered through her lips, a gentle longing in her eyes as she stared at the ground through silent tears that pricked the edges of her eyes.
Oh, what could have been. Would have been, should have been. But instead; this. And him hating her. Maybe this master would have other male slaves- and one would capture her rapt attention and draw her to him, leaving thoughts of Phrino in the dust to blow away while she suffered no more. But even she knew that this love for Phrino, this longing for him to be her's and to have her family and love with him; it would not disappear so easily.

Aditi Her marbled legs were tired as they carried her back through the lands of Regnen. Her paws lifted only enough the clear the blanket of leaves that lay thick on the forest floor. The chilling air nipped at her nose when she drew in breath, making it feel raw and sore.
Aditi had been out for days, wandering here and there across her new home. Though she had not resided here for even a full moon cycle, she felt she knew the land better than anyone. She ought to, after visiting every lonely corner to find her absent Alpha. Yes, Aditi was in a pack with no Alpha. He had gone hunting alone several days ago and had not returned. Aditi had waited, thinking that Alphas did this all the time. She was new to pack life, after all. But she got tired of being alone. She had spent nearly half of her short life alone and Aditi was determined not to go back to that cold, dark feeling ever again.
So she set out, roaming her new home to find her Alpha. She had gone all the way to the scent borders on all sides, and even beyond some. Nothing. His scent was all over, but every trail led her in circles. Defeated, she had resigned herself back to a lonely existence.
Or perhaps not. In her travels, Aditi had discovered a new scent. Another female lived somewhere in Regnen, though Aditi had never met her. It wasn't surprising, considering the size of Regnen and that Aditi spent most of her time out in the forest. But that scent meant hope, hope that Aditi clung to fiercely as she trudged back to the camp.
Suddenly, a wave of scents filled her nostrils. Aditi stopped short and lifted her head into the air. Her nose quivered as it took in all these new smells. When her brain finally sorted through them, Aditi's whole being perked up. Wolves! There were wolves up ahead! The gray femme was so ecstatic to find she would not be alone that she raced forward without thinking.
She burst through a clump of underbrush to find a group of three strange wolves, one smelling very dominant. For a moment, Aditi stood there frozen, her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth as she panted, her eyes darting from one wolf to the next. Finally, they focused on the leader of the group, whose smell, she realized, was all over the forest.
"Who are you?" she asked him. "And what," her gaze traveled over the wolves behind him, "are you doing here?" Her eyes went back to the leader. "Did Vernado send you? Because that jerk's been gone for weeks!

These two sklavin were going to be tiresome. One part of Shard was sure they were going to be more effort than they worth, and yet another part of him said to be patient and he would not regret his decision. Unfortunately only time would tell him what the results would be. One thing was certain, the two needed a few pointers on how to behave themselves. If they expected a pushover just because he hadn’t threatened or attacked them yet, they were wrong.
"Half a year, lord."
Somewhat surprising to learn he’d been a sklavin so long considering his demeanor. The wolf seemed to make attempts at masking his pride, and yet it still came out often enough, especially when he was talking to the female. One would also expect a sklavin with experience to know how to act a bit more submissively in demeanor. Shard would have commented on the answer, and yet it seemed Wica was going to be good enough to answer about the same time.
Oh but see, Master Alabastar, It is not this child who has driven me crazy, but the wind of this blasted place of over-lording voices. Enough to make one quite mad.
Alabaster? Charming. The thought had a definite dry note to it as he wondered once more what he’d gotten himself into. Yes, Prhino wasn’t the only one who needed to learn a few manners. Both were so different, and either were typical sklavins. Of course there was something about them being different that had attracted him to the pair in the first place. Bitter memories of past sklavins had him preferring something that went against the grain, but perhaps he’d gone a bit to extreme in his selection? It has been so long since I heard a song as sweet as this Of course he could have interrupted their speech at any point, but it seemed best to hear it all and get to know how their mind ticked a bit more. The most difficult part was going to pick out what their real thoughts were versus what they freely showed him.
“You two are certainly a fine pair.” Let them make what they would out of that, it could certainly be taken to mean different things. “I’ll answer your questions first, they seem reasonable enough. As to my name, it is Shard. You may call me master or lord.” He might let that change in the future, however these sklavin needed to accept their station first, truly accept it. “As to where you are, well this is your new home. I have found no finer land, as I am sure you will learn to agree. Game is plentiful, as is shade and water.”A few moments of silence was granted to let the information sink in. The information he wanted to pass on next should have their full attention and Shard could only imagine how filled the sklavins heads already were with thoughts. Love gone wrong, new lives, new territory and new games perhaps? Taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling his ears perked up at a new scent. Well, he had a few moments before he dealt with another wolf in his territory.
“Phrino,” a friendly tone to the name, and yet after saying it his head spun sharply so that his eyes bore into the other wolfs, it seemed impossible to believe that with such an intense stare that he couldn’t read the wolfs very soul. “You say you have been a sklavin half a year, then you should know how to act the part. I am not blind, nor dim you offer me token respect but I expect more than that. You are not my equal and will not walk beside me as if you were. I am fair, and you will find a tolerant alpha so long as you do not test me.” Teeth clicked together as he slammed his jaw shut and turned his attention to Wicca.
“You know my name, and the title I’ve claimed, you will not refer to me as ‘alabaster’ or anything other than ‘master’ or ‘lord’. Insanity can be amusing, and I have no problems with it as long as you don’t cross a line.” Let her prove her intelligence or lack there of in her knowledge of how far to push him. “Tragic that you do not know yourself,” a ghost of a smile flicked across his face, he could play any game that they wanted, and he would do a better job at it.
Now then…Shard started to stride out towards the scent of the new wolf but paused as he realized there was no need. A sound of rustling brush and then he saw the wolf. She was a nice looking female, a bit smaller than him, which was certainly proper in Shard’s mind. She was also quite quick to speak, and rather bold considering she was one lone wolf speaking to three she had never met, and him a dominor.
"Who are you?" "And what, are you doing here?" "Did Vernado send you? Because that jerk's been gone for weeks!
“Perhaps it would be more proper to announce your name before asking of mine.” There was a hint of rebuke in his tone, but not overly harsh. “I am Shard, the alpha of this land. I have no idea of whom Vernado is, nor do I have any idea as to whom you are.” His focus now appeared to be fully on this new, unknown wolf but still he had not forgotten his two sklavins and in fact was curious to see if they gave anymore of themselves away while he spoke with another wolf.

PHRINO “Phrino, You say you have been a sklavin half a year, then you should know how to act the part. I am not blind, nor dim you offer me token respect but I expect more than that. You are not my equal and will not walk beside me as if you were. I am fair, and you will find a tolerant alpha so long as you do not test me.”
Fair? Was his enslavement this idiot's idea of fair? Phrino angrily lunged forward, his fur bristling before he forced himself to step back, restrain his emotions, put his rage under lock and key. His lips lifted into a menacing snarl as he checked his head, clamping his eyes shut. This was completely ridiculous. He had been a respected and feared Zielle of Dachau, not some sniveling, submissive sklavin of Ravensbrück. The anger coursed through him, but Phrino held his tongue, unwilling to look his master in the eye or acknowledge his presence. If he wanted to claim to be "fair" and "tolerant", Phrino would play his game.
"Sir, I didn't know that treating another wolf as a piece of property was being, as you say, 'fair'."
Beneath the glint of sunshine far above the tension grew, heavy and lingering. Phrino's eyes glimmered viciously, but his previous demeanor of anger was drifting into the mist of his mind, expelled by the challenge of outwitting his new "master". There wasn't much time to consider another witty remark however, for another wolf soon joined the trio, bursting through the nearby bushes with a startling clash to the forest's natural tranquility.
"Who are you?"
What an introduction. Phrino's gaze met the blazing eyes of a grey pelted she-wolf. It was certainly a female, and Phrino found it much easier to find traces that he hadn't picked up on before--most recognizably her scent mingling with the musky odor of the surrounding forest. The Zielle watched her carefully as she paraded forward, her eyes narrowing, accusations and demands being hurled like mere leaves. Phrino instinctively moved towards Wicca, his mind thinking quickly. He didn't trust this new wolf whatsoever. Who in their right mind would just waltz up to a bunch of strange wolves anyways? Besides asking a slew of ridiculous questions?
"And what are you doing here? Did Vernado send you? Because that jerk's been gone for weeks!"
Vernado? Phrino quirked a brow at the female before relaxing his muscles. She didn't seem to be a threat. For now. He knew some of the wildest wolves were the ones who seemed completely normal. Shard was the first to intercept the newcomer, his voice taunt with annoyance.
“Perhaps it would be more proper to announce your name before asking of mine. I am Shard, the alpha of this land. I have no idea of whom Vernado is, nor do I have any idea as to whom you are.”
Phrino was too dumbfounded to speak, uncertain of the intentions of the present situation. Crack. The male's audits swiveled on his head towards the source of the noise and he cast a wary glance into the forest's depths. Nothing. Phrino slowly narrowed his eyes for any signs of movement before returning his gaze to the female.
She wasn't by any means unattractive--the black streak that lined her flanks was striking and well defined when paired with her naturally haughty facade. Phrino shot a sidelong glance at Wicca before stepping farther forward, a twinkle in his eyes. He wasn't a Zielle anymore, that was for certain. Even if he managed to slip from the clutches of this idiot Alpha, there would be others to hold him back. Who was to tell him now that he shouldn't do this or that?
"So what is your name, gorgeous?"
Phrino figured he'd come off too strong, but he pushed forward with reckless abandon, his eyes sultry with the thoughts of wild nights racing through his head. Lingering behind all the rest of his memories and thoughts sat Wicca, her grey coat flickering softly. How different things had become... MERONA Inside the she-wolf's mind, her visions spun new, vibrant fantasies. She was the Alpha's beautiful daughter, coveted by all, feared by none. Her legs were as swift as the ocean's currents as she loped through her pack's meadows, the freedom lingering on her like a summer's scent, light and airy. She was free to reign, free to chose herself a mate or refuse a suitor just the same. Merona knew only too well that the world was a story she sold herself, untrue without a hint of actuality to support itself on. Still, she was captivated by the utopia, blind of its deceitful guise, unable to wake herself from the deep grasp it held on her thoughts.
Butterflies drifted alongside her flanks, the shadows of night time fluttering over her domain before the sun rose again. Over and over her days flew by, the pleasure of the meadow always her companion. Yet the thing that made her dreams completely fictitious was her ability to speak. Her voice ranged over the bleak, grey mountains, strong and confident. It burst through the forests of sweeping greens, a single call that echoed through the world without a single contender.
It was very strange when the cold chills entered the valley, robbing her land of color, stealing the golden flax stalks and the pink gerardia blooms. The earth trembled and shook, snarling a certain displeasure. Merona fled in her despair, falling into the clouds and mist, her vision gone. With the fading of the dream pounded reality, fighting and assaulting her pride. She was no Alpha's daughter. She was slow and without a land, without freedom, without a voice. She was alone.
From the misty depths glimmered two brown eyes, their mocha color returning to haunt her. Vainly she opened her mouth to speak but all that came out was a horrible silence. Again and again she pushed herself to call to Vernado--she knew it could only be his eyes that searched for her--to beg him to return to the pack, return to her. Yet in the end she could do nothing but stumble forward, her paws shaking from exhaustion. She soundlessly coughed a trail of blood onto the floor, her throat burning fire and eyes blurring with the pain. It was the same ending every time. She knew what came next. Her plain, raw grief would be unable to summon anything more than a stunned quietness. And with the realization of her worthlessness, the she-wolf fell to the ground with a dull thump.
Merona woke with a start, her breath coming in deep gasps, her pelt sweaty and ragged. She immediately noticed that the nest she had made the night before was torn and battered--she had obviously been scrambling about in her sleep. Merona's pelt burned with humiliation as she stood up, attempting to shake off the debris. Anymore, her fur was always matted and covered in dirt, it's previous sheen lost to the nightmares and recollections that plagued her at all hours. The brightness of the sunshine through filtered leaves contrasted to the painful end of her reoccurring nightmare and she withdrew further into the forest, the memories numbing her as she ran.
Before long her lungs failed her, her throat rasping with effort. Merona slowed her pace, the cooing of birds calming her frenzied state. It had been weeks since she had last seen Vernado. This was her life now. The frenetic sleep pattern was almost a schedule to her, with the way she attempted to rest whenever possible. But the thoughts and memories afflicted her in every moment of peaceful dreaming and the tawny she-wolf was unable to think rationally anymore. Merona's stomach groaned, growling its hunger to the quiet chirps of nearby birds. When had she last eaten? Yesterday? Or the day before?
It was then that she heard them. From beyond a nearby thicket of blackberry bushes erupted talking, the arrogance of voices and submission of others. Tension rippled through the air and Merona warily drew closer, her blue eyes sparking a new fear. From the cover of leaves, Merona watched the intruders as they squabbled amongst themselves. Who were they? What did they want? Did they have something to do with Vernado's disappearance? Merona's fur fluffed up, her eyes wider as she took in more of the scene before her.
It was obvious that the largest wolf seemed to be the natural leader, with his eloquence and stature. There was a pale golden male who looked horribly uncomfortable and exceptionally disgruntled. Two she-wolves joined them, one a strange grey with flickering eyes. The emotions bubbled from her like a mounting volcano, threatening to erupt. Merona switched her gaze to the final wolf, unable to take the intensity of the last one. This she-wolf was exuberant, startled, confused and defiant. Slow down there, missy. Those thoughts were too much, and yet her scent seemed oddly familiar. Merona stepped back, considering her own situation.
Should she announce herself and hope for the best? Or hang back and wait for something to tell her what their fogged intentions were? Merona settled almost instantly on the second option, crouching down to peer through the lower boughs of the bush, her blue eyes flickering from wolf to wolf. Vernado was not here to save her and comfort her. She would have to rely on only herself. Without a voice to talk with it would be considerably harder to explain her motives if they found her spying...

WICCA Wicca watched with a fair amount of disinterest, lost in her own world of Phrino and pain and the beauty of the land around her. She artfully ignored Shard's words, choosing instead to gaze through the trees and taste the cool bite of wind that teased through her fur. The sun warmed her fur, and the delicious scent of trees, turned earth, undergrowth, prey... And wolf. Not one of their group, and not the female who had just broken cover and started interrogating them rather rudely.
This scent was of a female, and the golden femme let her ears flicker towards a shivering bush, letting the wolf know she had been found and would be under surveillance, then turned her attention back to her own world. She refused to give away one who did not wish to be known, unless she became a threat to herself and Phrino.
So what is your name, gorgeous? The familiar lull to this voice brought her abruptly grounding to reality, hope rising like a hatchling sparrow preparing for first flight. Until she realized the oddity of the question, and that it was not directed at her, and a dark rage and jealousy flooded through her. Instantly, instinctively, before she could think it out even- her body folded in half until she crouched in a hunter's pose, ready to attack within a second's notice. And her nose was pointed towards this new female. Before now, no threat, just rude. Now; a threat.
A shockingly low and deadly growl rumbled through her chest, her previous aloof attitude ending, and drawing everyone's attention to her fighting preparations. This growl, she had no idea who it was directed at. The female, for being so damn pretty and for placing herself anywhere near Phrino. HERS. At the new female, still in hiding, warning her not to try to tempt Phrino as well. HERS. Pure rage caused adrenaline to course through her blood stream, her scent flooding the clearing with tell of her anger, jealousy, and want. Wicca's amber eyes flashed as her vision blurred with red at the edges, and the rumbling roar rose. At Phrino, for trying to deny her and challenging her all at once, in those words. He could hate her, he could reject her. But this growl was a promise. A promise to kill, as she would, to any female who caught his attentions.
Wicca didn't know what had come over her, but she embraced it. It was all right, all good. In this state she had forgotten all identities of those around her- there was no Alpha, there were no strangers. None were friends, or enemies, except that gray female and that tan male. HERS.

Aditi No one looked very surprised to see her. Aditi supposed that in her joy she had been less than careful about approaching the wolves. An echo of her mother's voice drifted through her head, repeating a scolding her mother used many times during Aditi's childhood. "What were you thinking?" This simple sentence had always filled her with shame, a question that the talkative Aditi could never answer.
The grief of loss overwhelmed her. First her family and now the only wolf who had shown her kindness since they died. When the goddess appeared to her, Aditi thought that she was finally healing, but this new development had torn the wound open again. She didn't care about the wolves in front of her--those hostile, distant wolves. She only wanted to be with wolves she knew she would never see again.
“Perhaps it would be more proper to announce your name before asking of mine. I am Shard, the alpha of this land. I have no idea of whom Vernado is, nor do I have any idea as to whom you are.”
Aditi's nose wrinkled in disgust. This Shard was the opposite of Vernado and everything she hated in an Alpha. He was haughty and obviously had no qualms about oppressing his fellow wolves. Anger boiled inside her and she could feel every beat of her heart as her body prepared for a fight.
"My name is Aditi," she snarled. "And Vernado is the Alpha you stole this land from." Her body rigid, she stared him in the eyes. "Were you too much of a coward to fight him? Did you wait this long to make sure he wasn't coming back, so he wouldn't confront you?" Words flew form Aditi's mouth, making accusations to fit the scenario she saw in her mind's eye. Shard was a vulture, a great, hulking vulture who swooped in to claim the remains of some other creature's hard work.
Though caught up in her rage, some part of Aditi's brain registered the two slaves had been joined by a third. The new femme had the same scent that Aditi came across during her journey through the forest. Her anger redirected for a moment and Aditi's gaze moved to stare down the slave. "You were here. All this time you were here. Why didn't you stop him?" As she yelled at the fae, Aditi couldn't tell who it was she had wanted stopped, Shard or Vernado.

JAVAAR
Padding in forest the call rings so true through me visitors for all
I find a fighting patrol, how fresh and bold they stride through, unaware.
Of course they don't see my lurking shadow and those blazing, vengeful eyes.
I break into their petty affairs, growling my distaste for their scent
"This is the land of Vernado. Surely, since I am the Beta, I
could help you find the path that will lead you home?" I allow myself a
breath, pausing in the stunned silence. This should be fun, mild entertainment.
Carefully, I lick my deep grey fur, letting the tensions calm down, for
no one in their right mind cares to deal with a rage possessed dominor. Even
me. My eyes scrape on their pelts, watching their every movement, the way they
act to the neighbor. Two males, two females. I speak aloud again, my voice calm.
"Let's start with you, there." I toss my muzzle in the direction of the
burly male with gray streaks throughout his mangy pelt; not fit to be in these
lands. Would I even consider driving him from this forest? The Alpha
has been gone for quite some time now, not a scent left as to where I could
begin to search. Still, it seems like a blunt to my former loyalty.
"Tell me your name, at least for starters. You are my guests, at least until
you prove otherwise." It is then that I quiet, sitting alert on
my haunches. I will not be caught off guard. I may not have an Alpha
to follow, and the rules of courtesy may be gone, but I
will play the part and act as if this wretch in my plans is all nothing.

When Phrino decided to show off Shard turned his head to stare at the male. He didn’t snarl, pull his lips back or anything other than to take two steps closer to this male sklavin and stare at him, eye to eye.
"Sir, I didn't know that treating another wolf as a piece of property was being, as you say, 'fair'."
“You might notice I said that I was a fair alpha, not that the laws of nature are fair. Whether or not it is fair to be sold as property is not something for you or I to decide. That is part of the ranking system that has been set up before our time, and it sure to continue long after we are gone.” Another moment of quiet as he continued to stare at the sklavin, “I also hadn’t realized quite how limited your intelligence is, I imagine it should be expected. I just finished saying you will call me ‘Lord’ or ‘Master’.” The wolf was testing him, and it deserved to be punished, but right this moment there was more than enough commotion that Phrino was going to get a lucky break apparently. Another moment and his attention turned away from Phrino to look over Aditi and Wicca. Three sklavins, well wasn’t this lovely, not a single one of them acted sane. Best way to begin a new pack.
Apparently thoughtful silence was a bad idea. Phrino making his flirty comment had done more in upsetting Wicca than anything. Wicca, miss.unstable, was truly showing how unstable she could be. Shard snorted, and made a quick lunge to be directly in front of her. This time was not like Phrino, now he looked more a demon himself. Squatted down lowered, lips fully pulled back to show all of his teeth. Those silvery eyebrows about a darker complexion helped to express their angry slant, with yellow orbs staring right back at her. The muscles in his body were taught, ready to spring if need be. “You will back down this second.”
“My name is Aditi, And Vernado is the Alpha you stole this land from. Were you too much of a coward to fight him? Did you wait this long to make sure he wasn't coming back, so he wouldn't confront you?"
This was the type of day you wondered how it could possibly get better.
"This is the land of Vernado. Surely, since I am the Beta, I could help you find the path that will lead you home? Tell me your name, at least for starters. You are my guests, at least until you prove otherwise."
Oh, yes, that’s how it could get better.
This was his pack and it was time something be done. He couldn’t deal with Aditi and this new male while he was toying with this sklavin. A soft snarl of warning was given to her, as he took one step back giving half of his attention to the other wolves. “Let’s make this quick. My name is Shard. I did call a challenge and none of you fool wolves ever appeared. This is my land now, you can join my pack, challenge me if you dare, or leave. You have three options right now, the number will go down if you wait to long.”
Too many wolves! Oh a large pack was good but this was not a large pack, this was two sklavins he could claim as his but as of yet were not well trained. Really though! They’d just now reached his land…talk about no time to prepare. Now he had these things to deal with? Well, he may not have lots of experience as an alpha but he could handle this bunch of misfits. Whatever had happened these two were leaderless, it wouldn’t likely take them long to acknowledge he had rights to this land. If they didn’t, they would learn the hard way to accept it.

PHRINO “You might notice I said that I was a fair alpha, not that the laws of nature are fair. Whether or not it is fair to be sold as property is not something for you or I to decide. That is part of the ranking system that has been set up before our time, and it sure to continue long after we are gone.”
Phrino's fur stood on end at the words, a soft snarl slipping off his lips. This so-called Alpha was turning out to be a real debby-downer. What if he was enslaved, the sklavin forced to serve another? Phrino was almost sure the tables would turn then, forcing him from his chains simply because of who he was in his own mind. Hmph. These were the brutes Phrino loved to hate, the wolves he'd openly denied access to a pack in Dachau.
“I also hadn’t realized quite how limited your intelligence is, I imagine it should be expected. I just finished saying you will call me ‘Lord’ or ‘Master’.”
Again the blood rose in his body, whispering to him to lunge at Shard and rip into his skin. Make him feel some sort of pain. The only thing holding Phrino back was the presence of Aditi; she probably wouldn't find him attractive if he took a chunk out of his Alpha's ear. Growling, Phrino replied half-heartedly. He'd be submissive now until he could find a better chance to get away.
"Yes, master."
At his flirtatious beginnings, Wicca sprung into action. She was a raging, snarling demon, her eyes narrowed slits at the intruding female. She was acting like an idiot, spitting hostilities towards a wolf simply because he'd shown an interest. Phrino said nothing at her appalling behavior, only narrowing his eyes letting an annoyed huff slip off his lips. If she did this every time he started hitting on another female, they were going to have some serious problems.
“You will back down this second.”
Phrino barely heard his dominor's order as he made a move towards Wicca, his lips bared in a warning. Something in Phrino twitched, slightly annoyed at how the male dealt with Wicca. He forced himself to look away, to let the feelings go. He couldn't bother to get attached. She inflicted her own damage and he couldn't, wouldn't be there to save her. She hadn't been there for him; it was only fair.
"My name is Aditi, and Vernado is the Alpha you stole this land from."
As soon as the goddess spoke, Phrino froze. The anger that hung on Aditi was beautiful in a strange, fierce way. She was fiery and confident in herself as she spat the words at the Alpha, her eyes blazing. Phrino felt himself watching her with a new appreciation, a new likeness flooding him. She was hot.
"Were you too much of a coward to fight him? Did you wait this long to make sure he wasn't coming back, so he wouldn't confront you?"
How she challenged him was amazing; it sent shivers of infatuation down his spine and he grinned mischievously in response. She'd be a catch to flaunt, that was for sure. Maybe a little hard to woo at first, but she'd be worth it. Almost as soon as Phrino stepped forward to start his plan of gaining Aditi's affections, another male joined the group. His tail was raised in defiance and question, surveying the group restlessly.
"This is the land of Vernado. Surely, since I am the Beta, I could help you find the path that will lead you home? Tell me your name, at least for starters. You are my guests, at least until you prove otherwise."
Interesting. So this was the pack Beta? Phrino shot a glance at his dominor to see the damage. There was no possible way he was going to let all this fly, especially with how he'd responded to the commotion already.
“Let’s make this quick. My name is Shard. I did call a challenge and none of you fool wolves ever appeared. This is my land now, you can join my pack, challenge me if you dare, or leave. You have three options right now, the number will go down if you wait to long.”
As he'd predicted, Shard took a step back to asses the situation, his eyes flickering from one wolf to the next as he spoke. Phrino said nothing. He wasn't free to go; he was obviously talking to this new male. Would he stay or leave? Pssh, he didn't care as long as he stayed out of his way for Aditi. Phrino made his way to Aditi's side, his strides smooth as he attempted to impress her. He was trying, and it was obvious. Maybe she would like a male with enough spunk to rival her--or maybe she was really the quiet type of she-wolf once she was alone. The possibilities were endless.
"You were here. All this time you were here. Why didn't you stop him?"
As soon as he reached the female's side, however, she stiffened and shouted at a nearby bush. Phrino shot a puzzled gaze at Aditi before scenting the air in confusion. Another female. His golden eyes narrowed to look through the bush's thin coverage. What was she doing there, spying on them? Hmph. Phrino rolled his eyes before nudging Aditi, his voice light and casual.
"Forget about them. Let's go have some fun on our own."
Maybe she'd fall for his golden coat and bold personality--just like Wicca had.

MERONA "You were here. All this time you were here. Why didn't you stop him?"
The accusations from Aditi cut the female in half as she stood behind the bush. She'd scented her; more importantly, she blamed her for what had happened to Vernado and the pack.
I wasn't responsible! I miss him just as much as you!
Merona froze, her heart beating quickly in fear. What would they do to her? What would Aditi do to her? It was true that she'd grown distant from the pack in Vernado's departure, but she couldn't exactly be blamed for this strange turn of events. The she-wolf clamped her eyes shut, thinking her position over. She was completely unable to defend herself without a voice to explain her motives, her fate, her name. Then again, this wasn't anything new. There wasn't anything she could do about her lack of a voice. She'd made it this far. Hiding behind the bush wouldn't save her forever. Slowly, Merona strode from around the green leaves, her blue eyes blinking innocence.
She said nothing and made no move to explain herself as she walked, coming to stand a good length between Aditi and the leader. Shard. That's what he'd said his name was. Her eyes surveyed him for a moment, taking in his position and reaction, his facial movements. He seemed a strong enough leader, although he obviously believed in slavery from what he'd said to the golden male. He wouldn't try and enslave her again, would he? She'd just managed to find her freedom in Vernado. The moment he'd said she was free repeated boldly in her mind. She'd felt so alive when he'd given her those simple words. Could she be taken back to that life so quickly?
"This is the land of Vernado. Surely, since I am the Beta, I could help you find the path that will lead you home? Tell me your name, at least for starters. You are my guests, at least until you prove otherwise."
Javaar. That was the male's name. Merona dipped her head at the Beta; she vaguely remembered Varnado telling her of the male when she'd first joined. That was one thing the gods had blessed her with. Her memory was sharp and she hardly ever forgot a wolf once they'd met. Then again, as a slave that wasn't always the best. To remember the pain and agony another had caused her... The nightmares were just as bad. Vivid and blaring in her restless sleep they haunted her. For a long time she'd prayed to Eperna for them to be taken away. But it seemed the red-pelted goddess hadn't the time for small whims because the reoccurring scenarios played endlessly in her mind through the nights.
Merona shivered in the chilly air as she watched the wolves before her. She refused to make a move until someone addressed her. Even then, she wasn't exactly sure how she would or could respond. To top it all off, she couldn't think of a way to salvage this situation for the lack of quiet. There was simply too much going on and the snarling, bickering noise was deafening to consume. Merona glanced nervously at Aditi. There was no way she could verbalize her name and position to Shard. Maybe... Maybe Vernado had told Adilit her name before he'd left. It was a long shot. Carefully, Merona shuffled towards Aditi, her eyes wide with apprehension.
Tell them my name.

Hurt and shock flood the golden femme's body, and her eyes flashed to Phrino, completely ignoring Shard. She couldn't care less what the male wanted. If he killed her or rent her a physical wound, maybe it would lessen this pain. But... Phrino... Her soft voice crooned, pure agonized pain causing it to hitch and lilt slightly over his name, almost as one would for a dead mate's memory.
The switch from pure, red visioned hate to utter loss and confusion left her swaying on her paws tiredly. At the warning growl from Shard, Wicca dropped her gaze from Phrino and Aditi and nodded. Yes Master, my sincere apologies for my attitude and disobedience. I will remain on my best behavior from now on. The promise was in her voice, her eyes, in the dull lack of light of her expression. And of her expression, all that remained was complete, utter anguish. During her enslavement, her entire dream had been to escape and make amends with Phrino. Now... There was no purpose.
Wicca regretted with absolution the day she decided to flee, but she had been so sure Phrino did not love her. After her sorting into Dünen, she had been infatuated, and he had seemed unresponsive. Finally, out of embarrassment and hurt, she had fled. Becoming a loner, she had traveled far and near and seen the world; up until the moment the slavers caught her. In her new jails of insanity and plotting, she discovered within herself that it was enough to love him, regardless of what he felt back. Wicca would love him with all her heart, like he deserved to be, and maybe one day he'd see the truth.
But now... If he was looking to other females, and rejecting her so harshly and clearly, there was no chance. The realization made her knees buckle and weaken, her head grow light and weary, and her blood to pound in dismayed pain. A soft crooning cry came forth from her maw, and she cut it off instantly, swaying even harder then before. Pull yourself together, you always knew he never loved you. You look like an idiot! One of these males must be willing to love you, like he NEVER did! She chastised herself, pulling herself down into a sitting position and letting her mind wander back to the trees and the birds. The female was completely oblivious to her immediate surroundings, totally ignoring the wolves around her. The only thing she kept her mind and ears open for was Master's voice. If he called, Wicca must respond; she'd misbehaved enough already.

Aditi Aditi gaped as yet another wolf joined the group. Her momentary shock returned to anger as he announced himself as the Beta. And where were you when this guy waltz in here? I was looking for our Alpha, what's your excuse? For once she didn't say what she thought out loud, realizing that this supposed Beta could be her ally in getting rid of Shard.
"Let’s make this quick. My name is Shard. I did call a challenge and none of you fool wolves ever appeared. This is my land now, you can join my pack, challenge me if you dare, or leave."
At once Aditi's resolve broke. Loyalty meant nothing when she was faced with the prospect of being alone again. Aditi was no fighter, and even if this Beta was, he was outnumbered by Shard and his sklavin. "I'll join, I'll join!" she said quickly. She would follow Shard, she would endure his snobbery, as long as it meant she had someone to talk to and place to call home. Her tail dropped and her legs bent as she showed her submission.
She felt eyes on her and shifted her gaze to meet them. It was the other femme from Vernado's pack. She was staring at Aditi with so much emotion in her eyes that Aditi felt she was trying to tell her something. But why couldn't she just say it? The more they looked at each other, the more Aditi felt a name trying to escape her lips. "M-m-m." Yes, 'M' was the first letter. She heard Vernado's voice in her head: Come meet . . . "Merona?" Aditi looked for a reaction from the other female. "Is your name Merona?"
"Forget about them. Let's go have some fun on our own."
The gray wolf jumped, startled to hear a voice so close to her. Her head snapped around to look on her other side. The male sklavin stood there, his body postured just as suggestively as his words. Through her shock she felt the tiniest bit flattered. Of the three females here, he had taken a liking to her, even when his slave companion so obviously adored him. But many charming males had roamed the free lands and none of them were very charming when they had you alone. Aditi drew herself up to her full height, fur bristling, and tried to put as much venom as she could into her next words.
"Try anything and I'll rip you limb from limb, starting with your manhood"
