Every member is to have separate accounts for their characters and one OOC/regular member account. Details are as follows.
MEMBER/MAIN ACCOUNT
You should use the account you have now as your member account. If it shares the same name as one of your characters you should either change your name or put (OOC) in your title name.Only post with this account when:
I. Creating a new character.
II. OOC boards such as misc or journals.
Log in with this account first and then switch to your character accounts. It will help us keep tabs on just who's active and who's not for future reference. Depending on personal preference/ what we decide to do Tagging may end up being for the main account or for the individual character account.
CHARACTER ACCOUNT
You will have one account per character. Whenever you post with the character you will post with this account. The username should be your character's name. If your main account username happens to be the same as this character, sign up with the name and a 1 after it. EX: My character's name is Ruki, but I already have that username in use. My character account name would be ruki1.Only post with this account when:
I. Posting IC.
Name should just have regular letters in it. No fancy things, plz. We'll probably have a standard way of setting up the names some time.
Post character form with your main account BEFORE making a new account. Only make the Character Account AFTER the character has been accepted!
CHARACTER ACCOUNT- SET UP
To link a character account with a main account is pretty simple.
I. In the bottom right hand corner of the main RB site there should be a grey/white arrow. Click it to un-collapse it if it is collapsed.
II. Click on the image farthest to the left. It should look like two little people. Click it and it'll bring up a screen that gives you Select Account options. Click the first option that says "create a new account on this forum".
III. Use the name of your character as the username. If you already used it for your ooc account read the previous instructions.
IV. Go to profile > groups, and join the appropriate group, either Dominor, Freior, or Sklavin.
V. Go to edit profile > personal, and scroll to the bottom. There will be new text areas for you to fill out. Link your character application, journal page, and make sure to type your OOC MEMBER NAME in the Alias section! Also remember to change your gender to the correct character gender.
