Fenrir lead Daleia to the heart of his territory, head held high with his golden eyes looking down at the slave, motioning towards the land around them. At this time of year the falls had frozen solid with the cold Winter weather, creating a masterpiece of ice before the den entrance. The mountains behind and around it were covered in a blanket of snow, the forest on the southern side of Regnen bare, every tree visible and creating a maze-like appearance.
“Familiarize yourself quickly small one.”
From this moment on she would be his, belong to Regnen, provide her services and be rewarded for good behavior. As troublesome and aggressive he had been before arriving in these lands, he wasn't like that now, no, he had a plan. Everyone would be given one chance, only one, and if they screwed that up then they would be in a whole world of trouble.
"I will allow you to choose your den behind the falls, but it must be in one of the smaller caves in the back."
Glancing down at her he smirked, his tail brushed along her back briefly as the go ahead to situate herself.
"You should be grateful for who has chosen you today... but either way, any search for an escape route out of the tunnel system will fail, I have already made sure they don't branch off any further."
With a wink and low chuckle Fenrir moved along the pool's edge, making his way towards the right end of the frozen falls where a narrow path could be seen that lead towards the entrance, widening enough for him to take a seat. Tail curled over his paws, golden eyes watching the female. She would be given a couple minutes to situate herself, and once she had chosen a spot he would set out to find some type of bedding to cover the ground and lastly learn about her.

Daleia’s first thought upon visiting Regnen was that it was beautiful. She followed after Fenrir, her narrow fox-like face tilted upwards as she gazed at the limbs that twisted above them. On and on they went, deeper into Regnen, her master’s scent coating everything. He led her to a solid pool of water, and her breath caught just slightly at the sight of the frozen water that had previously cascaded down. Nothing in this land was short of perfection, and it was something that Daleia could greatly appreciate. She listened as he spoke, her ears swiveling atop her skull. Only did she move once he brushed against her, granting her silent permission. ”Thank you, my lord,” she said with an obedient dip of her head before trotting off along the narrow path that lead to the falls. It was good that he had informed her that any attempts to tunnel out would be futile; she had not responded in the least when he had, but secretly it would save her some trouble. However, he seemed to be a fair dominor so far, and risking his wrath was not something that Daleia wished to do. She found the dens with ease, skirting around the larger ones to find the smaller, more compact ones in the back. This was not something that troubled her, for she was significantly smaller than most wolves to begin with, and she found that it was cozy as the ducked inside. Despite this, she still picked the cave that was just a tad bit larger than the other sklavin caves, for she would be second best to none of the other slaves. It was dark, but she knew that when the falls were not frozen that rays of sunlight would peak through the water to illuminate the space. She nodded with satisfaction, taking a brief moment to brush against the walls, leaving her scent for any who dared intruded that was not her master or another high ranking wolf. She stepped out when she was done, slinking back to Fenrir’s side in what must have been an eager way. Her bushy tail swayed back and forth just slightly as she glanced up at him, baring her white tinged throat due to how far back she had to tilt her head. He truly was colossal in her eyes, something that both frightened her a tad bit and pleased her. ”I have chosen, m’lord.” ☀ NOTES: ~ | WORDS: 405 | TAG: ~

A single nod of his head was made as Daleia thanked him, watching her silently before they moved on to allow her to choose a den spot. Sitting outside he would wait patiently while she headed inside, his attention shifting, absentminded. He was thinking that after she chose a spot he would take her back down to the pool's edge and try to get some information from the creature, see how long she had been in slavery and if she had been in it for some years then try to gather further information but about the lands. He needed to figure out where he would go for his next outing to gather wolves to fill the ranks, get a better idea of the surroundings areas and then finally gathering more slaves that caught his attention.
A voice broke the man's thoughts, his head turning towards the cave entrance and downwards to look at the female. Ears flicked forward, quickly attempting to catch what she had said so that he didn't appear as if he had wandered off in that short time, a short attention span wasn't a good thing to have, especially if you were running a pack. Chosen was what he caught, so she had found a spot she wanted, good. He nodded, lips spreading in a large, toothy grin as he lifted himself from the cold ground and began to move down along the path.
”With the winter season upon us it will be a bit more difficult to find bedding materials, so after a little discussion we will set out to find some tree bark to bring back.”
Large paws finally brought the man to a stop across from the falls, rump thumping against the ground and tail wrapping around to lay over a single paw. The way he sat was so that his left side would be facing the falls, allowing himself to watch the female as they spoke, take note on any reactions towards his questions and how figure out if she was trying to hide something or not. Slowly his eyelids pulled over golden orbs, chest expanding with a deep inhale, then falling as he exhaled, a stream of vapor spreading into the cold air from his nose.
“Do tell, Daleia... of your previous Dominors and your degree of skills.”
He finally spoke, pausing after her name to open his eyes and look down at the female intently, a brow raised in curiosity.

As soon as Daleia returned to her master he was moving again, large body lifting as he moved away from her. She was quick to scurry after him, following at his side but slightly behind, her head inches away from where his shoulders began high above her. He stopped only once they had reached the falls, echoes of his previous statement still ringing in her ears. She would try to make the den as cozy as possible with whatever material was provided; it would need to be warm with the hard winter upon them so as to prevent sickness. Daleia would be damned if she let some illness end her. Finally they came to a halt on the opposite side of the falls, Fenrir lowering himself to his haunches as he posed a question, brow quirking in her direction. After a moment she sat as well, prim and proper as her bushy tail came to rest on her tiny paws, delicate muzzle raised upwards so that she could see his face.
”I was born into slavery, my lord,” she replied honestly. ”My family has served dominors for several generations. I was born into the pack of my first dominor, and was taught by him as well as my parents how to serve obediently and effectively.” Here she paused, frowning. The next part of her tale was one that could not easily be admitted to any dominor, shameful as it was, and yet she did not dare lie to him. Perhaps she could make him believe her sincerity instead. ”In my second year, I fled my dominor and my home, my lord. I was captured entering Ravensbruck and taken to Auktion Rock. It was a foolish choice, and one I will not dare make again.”
She cast a quick glance in his direction, attempting to gauge his reaction. Still she did not falter speaking. ”I was claimed by an older male who was not very lenient with me. He honed my skills even more, tested my obedience until he was certain it was infallible, and taught me well. When he died, his sons returned me to Auktion Rock. That is where you found me.”
And so it was. Daleia took a deep breath, visions of her past dominors flashing through her memory. Fenrir was the largest dominor who had ever claimed her, and so far, the easiest to deal with. Her first had been brutish and lecherous, and her second had been cold enough to make winter jealous. Maybe, just maybe, this is a fortunate thing.

Text | Speech | Thought
Large ears stood atop Fenrir's skulls, chin angled downward to allow him to take her in, and so she would not have to strain her neck just to meet his gaze. The man could be darker at times, but he was more so chill and preferred to play games with others which was why he was turning his head down for the slave since he knew he was a pretty big guy.
Daleia began with informing him that she was born into slavery. Her family served dominors for several generations, and she was born into the pack of her first dominor who she was then taught by and served obediently and effectively with her parents. Her hesitation to continue on and the frown she made caused the man to become curious, shoulders rolling and body slightly leaning forward, eager to hear what she had to spill for the dominor.
When Daleia was finally able to continue, what she spoke of would bring the small hint of surprise and displeasure in his facial features, immediately not liking the idea that she had once fled a master, even if she had been captured and resold on the auktion rock. Fenrir straightened up, golden eyes narrowing while the tip of his tail lightly tapped the ground. Despite her voicing that her actions were foolish and she wouldn't dare make it again, he couldn't help but now feel like extra work would have to be made just to keep an eye on her. Was the decision to claim her the right one when she had already fled a previous master? He would just have to wait and see what happened.
Continuing on, the female spoke of being claimed by an older male who wasn't very lenient with her, honing her skills even further and tested her obedience til he was certain it was in fallible, taught her well. The dark male nodded to this, actually respecting the older dominors and would have not hesitated to learn a few things from them if he were to ever come across one who seemed like they had known what they were doing with their sklavin. When he died, the man's sons returned her to the auktion rock which was where Fenrir found her.
“Well then, it seems that you have been trained well by your two previous masters, but there will be things I will test you on even now.”
His tone was calm, head turning away and golden eyes looking up at the frozen falls. The girl was still fresh but it appeared her masters trained her well enough, having good speech and supposed skills which he would soon have to discover once she was put to work. They would start simple, see how she would handle the tree bark they had to collect for today then how she would do with hunting them a meal, which wouldn't be an easy task seeing as how he was much larger and so would need more meat to fill his stomach. Along the way he would think of more she could do.
Looking back to Daleia his gaze would harden on her, a seriousness coming over him for the first time since he had set his eyes on her at the auktion rock.
“I find great displeasure in disobedient slaves, especially ones who think they can flee from me. I would prefer not having to force you to be the example, hanging above the falls for the next to see and learn from.”
Motioning towards the falls he would pick himself up and give a small shake to dismiss snow from his coat, head held high. Should she try to flee like she had previously done he would show no mercy, hunt her down like prey, kill her most horribly then hang her carcass over the rock face of the falls, right over the denning entrance. He would also have no issue with wearing her pelt, for it would make a beautiful headpiece to impress a future mate to raise his offspring.
“Well then, off we go darling!”
With a sudden large, toothy grin the man perked up and the darkness slipped away as he turned away from the dhole and made his way into the forest with a bounce in his step.

“I find great displeasure in disobedient slaves, especially ones who think they can flee from me. I would prefer not having to force you to be the example, hanging above the falls for the next to see and learn from.”
There was something dark and sobering in Fenrir’s gaze as he spoke, something that made Daleia straighten, averting her gaze from his own. She did not doubt for even a moment that he meant what he said; from what she had gathered, she knew that Fenrir was not one who would make idle threats. While he was not the cruelest of her dominors, she thought that he very well might be the most dangerous. She would not cross him lightly. Instead, she would work twice as hard to prove herself to him and to gain his favor. Maybe in months, maybe in years, she would do so well that he would allow her to become a free member of Regnen instead of a slave. It was something that she did not hope too fiercely for – she knew that it was not very likely, but still, a girl could always dream. Wordlessly she stood to follow him as he grinned and started off, her little paws brushing softly against the discarded leaves on the ground.
She did not hesitate to set to work once they were within the trees. Working was good; it was familiar. Daleia trotted along beside Fenrir, occasionally halting to examine a particular tree. She let the ones who were not peeling or that were young be; she would not rip the bark from them when they were not ready. It was the ones whose gray hides curled and separated from the trunk that she targeted, tearing off bits and pieces, making sure to gather any soft bits of fluff that could be found at their bases, whether it was discarded fur or feathers. She hummed as she went until her mouth was semi-full with bedding, her chocolate eyes flickering with mirth. Somehow she was enjoying herself – it had been some time since she had been given a task to do, even if it was something as easy as gathering bark. But that was the thing – it wasn’t all that easy. Any wolf could come along and grab bits of wood, but Daleia searched for the supple, flexible pieces. The stiff ones that cracked at her touch she discarded, rounded ears swiveling atop her skull as she worked. Always she made sure to stay within Fenrir’s sight, and when she had gathered a large amount she paused, placing it on the ground before her to nose through her findings, double-checking her work. Satisfied, the Dhole lifted her head and gazed at her dominor.
”Shall I gather some for you as well, my lord?” She asked. She was used to having to cater to her dominors, and it was something that no longer irritated her. In her youth she had hated being treated like a slave, and still it was disappointing, for Daleia thought that she was surely worth more…but she did not say that. Instead she waited, gaze somewhere just south of Fenrir’s eyes. She would not stare directly at him, as she had been taught that it was disrespectful.

sorry for the wait!! busy days! perhaps we should end this in our next round of posts?
Text | Speech | Thought
Golden eyes were focused on Daleia once they reached the trees, heavy paws carrying him along, snow crunching beneath foot. This would be a little exercise for the female, see how she did with collecting materials for their denning spots, and how long it took to collect it all. So far he would be slightly impressed, the small female immediately began to examine the trees, only collecting from the ones whose bark was grayed and separating, tearing off bits and pieces and even grabbing soft bits of fluff that lay at the base. He would admit that it was odd she was humming during the process, wondering if she was enjoying doing this or was just doing it to help pass time. He didn't mind it though, it was actually somewhat peaceful to hear, relaxing, and since she kept within his sight, he would allow her to continue on.
When she seemed finished, he was sitting nearby off to her side, watching in silence as she nosed through the gathered materials before finally looking to him and asking if she should gather some for him as well. That was where he was disappointed in her, his eyes narrowing and an ear flicking in slight annoyance. “Why else would we be here.” The question was of course rhetorical, the tip of his tail moving slowly, voice low. For a brief moment, Fenrir had wondered if he had been wrong about the little dhole, and that she couldn't possibly be what he had been looking for at the auktion. Did she had something mentally wrong with her? Proper manners for a sklavin, listened and did as told, but once done or at least thought they were done, didn't register that they were suppose to be doing the task for their master.
Even if she kept her gaze low he would pick himself up, keeping his eyes narrowed on Daleia. “Since this is your first day here, I will not strike you.” Paws carried the large man forward and around the female's backside, his tail brushing along her spine till he was standing on her left side. “Come tomorrow, I will not hesitate... even if you are beautiful.” He tilted his head to the side with a toothy grin, not afraid to admit a sklavin was rather attractive. As quickly as it appeared, the smile was gone and the man was reaching out with a paw to gather the smaller materials inside the bark, and with his nose he would fold them over each other before finally gathering them in his jaws and lifting his head. He motioned for her to continue on, while she gathered material for his den he would take this and set it inside for her to fix up, return to gather his and take it back to set his place up while she would hunt something for them to eat.

“Why else would we be here.”
Immediately, Daleia realized her mistake. She cringed as his voice reached her auds, cold and tinged with irritation. Stupid, stupid girl, she chided herself as she lowered her gaze to the forest floor, trying to remain calm and composed. Would he punish her, she wondered? Her ears flattened against her head as he prowled behind her, the brush of his tail along her spine making her nervous. There were a million ways he could make her pay, a million ways to teach her a lesson, and perhaps every single one of them flashed through Daleia’s racing thoughts before Fenrir spoke again.
“Since this is your first day here, I will not strike you. Come tomorrow, I will not hesitate... even if you are beautiful.”
She bobbed her head in acceptance, relieved that he would not harm her. Yet. She would have to tread more carefully; she had slipped up, and it was something that Daleia could not afford to do again. ”Thank you, my lord. It will not happen again,” she assured him. The moment that he gestured for her to continue she did, flicking a glance in his direction before immediately setting to work. Despite his absence she worked hard, gathering choicer bits for him, better than she’d done for herself even. She attempted to block out her thoughts as she went, focused on her task at hand instead of the grim mistake she had made. She worked quickly, her little paws pattering against the dead leaves as she moved. A flock of sparrows startled at her approach, taking flight in a flurry of feathers. Daleia was quick to gather those that floated to the ground, adding them to the pile intended for Fenrir. Above her the birds had landed in the nearest tree, trilling angrily at her approach. She shot them a single irritated glance before continuing on her way.
When finally her mouth was practically bulging with the gathered bedding, she returned to where she’d last spoken with Fenrir, placing them in a pile on the ground. Even then, she did not allow herself to be still. She continued to gather until the pile grew, for Fenrir was significantly larger than she was, and it would be better for her to continue gathering than to lay dormant. It was only when the pile was large enough to be impressive that she stopped and sat beside it, beginning to pick through it, ensuring that there was nothing brittle or uncomfortable that had somehow gotten past her gathering.
