SORCHA
The thing I treasure most in life cannot be taken away
There will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice
To change myself, I'd rather die

In the late months of autumn, Regnen was beautiful. Even as the leaves curled and browned at the edges, even as they began to fall from the trees, they still flourished and burst with colors. The crunch, crunch of paws on the leaves was like music to Sorcha's ears as she slid across the border, not even pausing a breath. Onward she pushed, through the dense bushes, weaving around the massive tree trunks, practically camouflaged in these lands. Her eyes, deep green flecked with lighter shades and bits of gold, were the only thing that truly stood out. That was why autumn had always been her favorite. But now the season was drawing to an end; there was a distinct chill that would creep into the nights now, whispering promises of winter. Sorcha had not been in Ravensbruck for very long, but she had heard that the winters could often times be harsh and unforgiving. She needed a home, and she needed one fast.
In her time here, Sorcha had watched and listened so much that she now knew a good deal about the packs. She knew of the fire that had ravished the land. She knew that Irrsin, once the largest, was growing in numbers quickly again. They seemed to have the most survivors. Initially she had considered making that her home, but she had heard that the alpha female was a bit of a diva, and Sorcha didn't always get along with other confident she-wolves. Which had also ruled out Einheit. The alpha there was female and was, if Sorcha heard correctly, also overbearingly confident and full of disdain. Besides, the desert was scorching hot in the summers and bitterly cold in the winters. That didn't particularly appeal to Sorcha. So that had left Durkell, Groavche, and Regnen. Sorcha knew the least about Durkell; it was a quiet little pack, also ruled by a female, but Sorcha had never heard any infamous tales about her. Still,, there didn't seem to be much activity there after the fire, so Sorcha had moved past it.
In the end, it had come down to Groavche and Regnen. Both ruled by males, both with other male pack members, both that seemed to oppose slavery. So Sorcha had done some digging on the packs. Nirco was rumored to be quiet and devilishly handsome, with a new pack member that was just as silent, imposing, and brutishly good-looking as the alpha himself. Quite a pair, if you asked Sorcha. Regnen, however, was ruled by a noble sort of male named Stolz, with a stunning beta male that ruled by his side. Sorcha couldn't quite remember his name, though. Swamp or forest, Sorcha had asked herself, because truly both packs seemed to tickle her fancy. She had finally decided to investigate Regnen first. Swamps weren't really her cup of tea.
The scent of male assaulted her nostrils as she ventured deeper and deeper into the territory. In the far distance, she could hear the soft sound of the falls. Above her, a bird cooed and chortled. It was all so beautiful, so serene. Sorcha found herself smiling as she strolled beneath the canopy of leaves. Yes, she had made the right decision.
Eventually she came to a dense cluster of trees and stopped. It was here that she tilted her head back and released a long, low, musical howl that was searching, calling. It was not demanding, not harsh. It was simply all charm and curiosity. When she was finished she lowered her head, flicked her ears forward, and waited.
