Coltrane
"I'm so sick, Infected with where I live. Let me live without this Empty bliss"
this is me in the flesh,
NAME: Coltrane
NICKNAME(S): Colt
PRONUNCIATION: [kohl-treyn]
POSITION: Free-roamer
taste the sky,
AGE: 5
GENDER: Male
BREED: Timber Wolf
HEIGHT: 80 cm at shoulders
APPEARANCE: Image
Colt is a common looking timber wolf, a mix of white, creams, browns, and black. The cream starts from his paws and spreads all the way up his belly and to his mid flank. That is where the tan begins to mix with black, spreading down his back, up his shoulders, and towards his face. The top of his head is a perfect tan colour, wrapping around the sides of his ears. The insides of his ears are white, and the only other white are on his lips and under his chin. His tail starts off being brown and ends in black half way down. His eyes are a beautiful dull gold colour.
This is not the only thing that defines Colt though, for under his pretty looking coat is a very sick wolf. His thick fur covers the fact that he is underweight, his ribs sticking out of his skin. He has Cystic Fibrosis, a sickness that is slowly yet surely killing him. There is a thick mucus starting to fill his lungs, meaning that he weases when he talks, although he tries to hide it. There is also that same mucus building up in his digestive tract, making it hard for him to absorb nutrients from his food.
thoughts that make me go insane,
PERSONALITY: Colt use to be a very sweet wolf, he was the most playful puppy in his liter. That was, until he got sick at the age of 2. That point and time changed his whole being, he could no longer run around and play with the others. He started to run out of breath quicker, and was starting to slowly lose weight. The other wolves began to avoid him, which made him become very anti-social and lonesome. He would often wander away from others and try to keep to himself.
Coltrane doesn't want to get close to anyone, because he doesn't want anyone to be sad when he gets sick and dies. He was torn apart when he lost his father and brother, and doesn't want anyone to feel the same way. He is a true nomad, never wanting to settle in one place for too long. If Colt does run into others, he either tries to hide, or even scare them away. If anyone was to get close to them, he would probably have a habit of wandering off without so much as a word.
all over my shoulder,
FATHER: Klase (dead)
MOTHER: Raine (alive)
SIBLINGS: Willow (female, alive), Tanner (brother, dead)
HISTORY: Coltrane was born into a sick family, it seems that all the males in his family get Cystic Fibrosis, but the females are for some reason safe. When he was born though, he didn't seem to be sick. He was a very healthy little boy, and his parents were happy that the sickness seemed to pass Coltrane. His father Klase was quite sick though, and when him and his siblings turned half a year old, he passed away. His mother was saddened, fell into a harsh depression that effected the little ones. They often had to bite at their mother to draw her out of the den and catch them food. It took her nearly a year to find herself, but by then the pups had figured out how to gang up on rabbits and mice to catch and eat. So now they helped there mother.
When the pups were two, Tanner fell ill as well. When he was born he had been a little sickly, but it caught up to him very quickly. The sickness effected him very quickly, and he died a few months later. Raine lost herself then, wouldn't leave the den and would sleep most of the day. Colt and Willow had to hunt and force her to eat, try to nip her awake. She began to chew on her own legs and pulling out her fur, going slightly crazy from the depression. She often told her pups that she just wished that she died with their father. Willow and Coltrane tried to work double time to catch mice and rabbits, but then Colt began to show signs of Cystic Fibrosis. He began to choke and wease when he walked, and was losing weight very slowly. Willow had to work even harder to feed the two. Coltrane knew that Willow could not support both of them, and knew that losing him would kill Raine. So he took the situation into his own hands, and left. He only told Willow where he was going, and to take care of their mother.
From that day on he wandered around, never staying in the same place for to long. That is when he wandered into Ravensbruck, now three years older.
