KASIMIRA As Violet tripped over her own two paws in trying to keep up, Kasimira only heard the crashing fall and scrabble of a nervous wolf. The black she-wolf didn't even turn around at first, instead slowing her pace and huffing in irritation. You've got to be kidding me. Out of all the wolves she could have picked up for Dresna's first sklavin, she happened to pick one who couldn't even run on four paws by herself. Great first impression on her part.
With a glance over her shoulder, Kasimira had to stop herself from letting out a snarl. Violet was rolled up against the nearest tree, her paws sprawled wildly in the air, her head fur matted into the forest floor, and her tail drooping ungracefully down near her muzzle. The queen wasn't even sure what to say, and instead snarled louder, hoping her new sklavin would get the hint and pick herself up quicker than she'd gotten into that mess.
They were so close! Kasimira, her fur rippling with excitement from the nearness of their destination, simply surged forward. She missed her home in the short hours she'd been away, and she wanted to start rebuilding her pack. There was still plenty of time for grieving, but now was not that time. Filled with energy from their run, Kasimira lifted her head and howled to her pack. Her song was stronger and more vibrant than it had been in a while, and inwardly the she-wolf trembled with excitement. When had she last called to her pack with this fervor? Not since Calliope's pups had been born. The pups... In her heartache over the pack's total losses, she'd completely forgotten about Calliope's newest litter. A darkness threatened to subdue her at the thought. If full grown wolves hadn't escaped the fire, how could week old pups expect to survive?
Focus. You need to focus. For your pack. Louder, she called them all to the border, hoping against hope that maybe another member had straggled back to the meadows they all loved so passionately. Once she finished her song, Kasimira turned back to Violet, her eyes blazing with the fire that leading her pack gave her. Now she needed to deal with this hot mess. Zy would certainly give Violet a run for her money, with her stumble and her general lack of sklavin tendencies. She smiled at the thought, leading the two of them further toward the Irrsin border as she spoke.
"When you meet the others, you greet them as a sklavin. I'm going to assume you know nothing about your rank from what you've acted like so far, so keep your eyes down and offer your complete submission. If you don't, they might just challenge you for a dominance fight."
She talked as if guiding a pup, disdainfully glancing at Violet before switching her gaze back to the horizon her family would be coming from.
"And for future reference, my name is Kasimira. You may call me 'mistress', 'queen', or 'alpha'. Never my name."
As she added the last bit, a small chill of the old days rushed over her. "This is what home should feel like," Kasimira thought to herself.

Violet paused in her cleaning as the Queen looked towards her, irritation clearly displayed on the proud face. The smoke-coloured female gave her a weak smile, tongue sticking out, and then quickly continued. She hadn’t been scolded, that was a good sign. Right? Her teeth worked quickly as she pulled out the last of the moss and twigs, digging in with her fangs in order to get the tougher mud patches out of her back. Her ears twitched as the Alpha howled, almost as if summoning other’s nearby. Nerves rolled in her belly as she put the pieces together, and realized she would be meeting a pack. By the sounds of it; a pretty decent sized pack. At first, Violet was surprised that the Queen even had a pack, considering the fire that had raged through Ravensbruck. Her surprise quickly left her when the Dominor walked closer towards what she assumed was the border to her pack. Violet made sure to pick up her feet as they walked this time. She did however, look around as they walked, unable to contain her curiousty about the borders of her new home. A wave of sadness coursed through her at the thought of thinking about a “new home.” Her real home was with her mother and two sisters. She shook herself, fluffing out the last bits of her coat. Violet was pleased with how she looked; her smoke-black coat was clean, pressed and pressed down. Her tiny white paws, looking as white as they could, considering the heavy mud in the forest, and her face was free from the forest floor. Her attention returned to the wolf in front of her when the Queen glanced over at her; "When you meet the others, you greet them as a sklavin. I'm going to assume you know nothing about your rank from what you've acted like so far, so keep your eyes down and offer your complete submission. If you don't, they might just challenge you for a dominance fight." Violet nodded, not wanting to screw this up. She knew she would somehow being as clumsy as she was, but she just didn’t want to embarrass herself in front of her new pack. "And for future reference, my name is Kasimira. You may call me 'mistress', 'queen', or 'alpha'. Never my name." Ah, so you do have a name! She thought excitedly to herself, but was soon deflated at having to call her anything but. So many rules to learn, and mess up
OOC: Will fix when I get home, as in italics e.t.c but this is my completed reply

T O R T U G A He was running patrols when he heard it. There was something different about Kasimira’s howl, something slightly more uplifted than usual, and whatever it was made his gait falter. He had been running along the stream that lined the Irrsin border, searching in vain for both signs of intruders, and signs of former pack members. The sun warmed his back from above, brightening his mood just slightly, although the real picker-upper was knowing that Kasimira had returned. Things had been tense since the fire, and the possibility that she might have found a wandering member had him wheeling away from the stream, sprinting in her direction. From the sounds of it she was just past the further border, not terribly far away yet not quite close, either. His mind was a whirlwind as he flew towards her. Just hours earlier, Dresna had returned from another one of her escapades. Tortuga was not especially concerned with her wanderings; she had bloomed into a well-behaved, sensible young adult, and he trusted her on her own. While the thought did sometimes make him a little uneasy due to the loss of Marzell and Adelina, Tortuga constantly reminded himself that he could not shelter Dresna forever because of the tragedy. Instead, he vowed to encourage her to be her very best, to be strong and willful and cunning. That was how she would survive. That was how she would flourish. As he ran, his thoughts were once more dragged back to Kasimira and the potential news that she had brought. Perhaps she would say that she had found nothing, but if that was the case, why did she sound so hopeful? Could it possibly be Matrid, or Calliope? Maybe one of the pups, or Kyren, their Beta that had been missing in action since disaster had dug its claws into Irrsin. For the first time in weeks, hope swelled in the brute’s heart. Maybe Eperna had finally smiled upon them. Downwind to where Kasimira stood, he caught her scent before he’d even seen a glimpse of her. It was comforting, and so familiar to him now. He could still remember when he had first laid eyes on her so very long ago. He could remember the first time he ever caught her scent on the breeze, the first time he looked into those fierce blue eyes…just the memory of their night by the falls set his heart pounding. While affection did not always come easy to him, thoughts of his mate tended to turn him into mush. Finally, a slender black body appeared on the horizon. To Tortuga’s slight disappointment, he did not recognize the wolf beside her, but he took it in stride. Closer and closer the white brute drew, before coming to a thundering halt before Kasimira. Quickly he glanced towards the newcomer, taking in the sight of her smoke-colored fur, delicate frame, and light eyes. While she was faintly pretty, he had eyes for only Kasimira as he turned back to face her. ”Welcome home,” he rumbled, dipping his head to lightly touch his muzzle to hers. While he had no problems with displaying his affection for his mate in public, he tended to keep such displays brief yet clear. Alphas needed to appear strong and independent, after all.

D R E S N A
Exhaustion barreled into her like a freight train. It had seemed like no time at all since Dresna had spoken with Marzell, and the moment she set foot into Irrsin, weariness had overtaken her like the plague. She had slid right past her father without uttering a word, promptly collapsing in the dens without so much as a sigh. Her conversation with Marzell faded in and out of her tired mind, snatches of his promise to visit in the future playing over and over like a melody. Slowly, she allowed her blue eyes to flicker closed. If she could just nap, only for a little while...
A howl shattered her calm like glass. Her sapphire eyes popped open, her head lifting immediately. It was her mother, of that Dresna was certain, and she was calling. With a soft sigh the snow female lifted her slender body, padding out of the den into the sunlight. Squinting her eyes against the bright rays, she hesitated only to shake the weariness from her limbs before taking off. It would not do well for the heir to appear weak, after all. With each step that brought her closer and closer to her destination, Dresna's carefully constructed wall of courtesies and behaviors built itself higher and higher. Outside of Irrsin she was free to display emotion, but once she crossed the border, Dresna was cool, collected, and even a bit of a temptress if she was channeling her mother just right.
All signs of exhaustion gone, Dresna narrowed her eyes as she approached the border. From her vantage point, the forms of her mother and father were crystal clear, but...there was someone else, someone she did not immediately recognize. The scent of her is foreign. A sklavin? Keeping her guard up and donning her very best regal expression, she slowed to a dainty trot, dipping her head in acknowledgement to her parents. Her soft white cost was the spitting image of her fathers, yet her slender build and blazing blue eyes clearly had come from Kasimira. Casting a curious glance at the unfamiliar female, Dresna cleared her throat softly. Without knowing what she had been called for, she remained silent, patiently waiting.
Vaguely her thoughts drifted back to Marzell. At some point she would have to tell her mother that he was alive, but not now. It was not the time; not with this stranger present. As his promise replayed in her head again, she found herself wondering if maybe, just maybe, she and Marzell would come to peace one day. While it may not have been realistic, she could always hope. But for now, she had to focus on the present. Straightening, she held herself up proudly, displaying herself like the imposing heir that she was supposed to be.

--! Z YBut the memories that haunt us are cherished just the same; As the ones that bring us closer to the sky, no matter how grey.
It was a miracle. Glorious. Stupendous. The most majestic sight the ashen male had seen since... he couldn't remember. Although that wasn't saying much, since Zy had the combined memory of a goldfish and a hyper-active squirrel. He stared starry eyed at the sacred object's brightly hued teardrop shafts with wonder as they swayed in the daytime breeze. He tilted his head back and forth following the vivid treasure's graceful arcs, utterly enthralled by its existence.
To most it was just a simple wildflower; common throughout most of Ravensbruck. But to Zy, it was something he had gravely missed and feared to never see again since the tragedy a while back. The flames had snuffed out most new growth just around the time when these colorful forms of plant life were to burst through the surface and brighten up the Irrsin fields. Since then the earth had started to recover, but only new sprouts of green could be seen blanketing the cascading hills. Zy thought it was rather dull. Sure, green was nice, but nothing could compare to the colors of sunsets smooshed down into ground cover.
Flowers weren't the only things missing from Irrsin. A few pack members also had gone missing. Even though Zy wasn't very close to many of them, and even reveled in the absence of a particular beta. But, as much as he hated to admit it, Calli and Matrid were probably almost half-way friends to him, and he'd missed their company. He at least found solace in the fact that his sense of loss wasn't found in him alone. Even if she put up a big stone-faced facade, Kasimira was missing them too.
A sharp howl broke Zy out of his gloomy thoughts. "Well, look who's feeling better today.", he laughed to himself, immediately recognizing his queen's call. Hastily he snapped up the wildflower, totally not a gift for his boyfriend a certain snow colored alpha, and made his way toward the sound. He wondered just why Queenie was in such a good mood today.
Upon reaching his destination he saw just what all the hubbub was about. There stood Kazzi and Tortuga, Irrsin's sexy power couple, looking all regal and stuff. Next to the alphaess was a smaller greyish femme, probably what the big deal was. Zy wasn't gonna lie, a new girl is just what this place needed to breath some life back into it. She was cute too, in a sort of innocent clueless way. Maybe she'd be a little more accepting of his harmless advances than all the other chicks had been.
He sauntered over in front of the alphas and new sklavin with his prized flower treasure and trademark grin. "Aww, Kazzi, why didn't you tell me we'd be havin' guests. I only found enough flowers for one beautiful lady, not two." Zy gave a quick wink to the new girl. "Name's Zy, by the way" He knew that Kasimira'd give him hell for his disrespectful display right in front of a new sklavin, but what could he say, without him, the place would be so dull.
OOC;; IDK been forever since I wrote anything. Hope it works for you people. : D

KASIMIRA Kasimira watched as Violet attempted to make herself presentable, fussing over her fur as the time passed. If you hadn't fallen in the first place... The queen had thought about reprimanding her new sklavin for her sheer lack of knowing where she was going, but Kasi decided against it; Dresna would soon enough be giving her a run for her money. Waiting, Kasimira gave her chest a lick in excited anticipation. She missed Tortuga even though she'd been gone only hours, and hoped desperately Marzell or Adelina would be with him.
And then, from over the nearest ridge, the black she-wolf spotted one--no, two--white figures. They raced eagerly toward Kasimira and Violet, their snow-white fur and gait almost identical as they moved, rolling through the slowly recovering meadow. As they neared, Kasimira returned her daughter's respectful head dip before meeting Tortuga's crystal eyes. She saw her own hopes for her children's arrival reflected there, and she blinked softly in a silent response as they touched noses. We'll keep looking later.
”Welcome home,”
"Good to see both of you, but where in Eperna's name--"
As soon as the black male had crossed her mind, a burly, hustling shape loomed into view. Well, that answers that question. Zy, with all of his antics ready to fire, came sliding into the picture with a wildflower placed suggestively between his teeth. He was huffing only slightly and Kasimira was forced to vaguely wonder what ever possessed the sklavin to arrive under such pretenses.
"Aww, Kazzi, why didn't you tell me we'd be havin' guests. I only found enough flowers for one beautiful lady, not two."
Que the devilish wink of Zy, the she-wolfanizer.
"Name's Zy, by the way."
Kasimira wasn't sure whether to laugh at his attempt at flirting or scold him for neither greeting his Alphas with the proper respect nor acting his actual rank within the pack. Snarling her disapproval, the Irrsin Queen boldly stepped forward to intercept the male's shenanigans.
"What have I told you about this kind of behavior?! I have half a mind to rip out all your fur and take you back to the Auktion Rock like that. I'm sure they'd love to see you again, sweetie."
The way Kasimira snarled the last word, with her eyes blazing and her body tense, she was obviously not kidding in the slightest. Although Zy was, grudgingly, a part of the Irrsin family, Kasimira knew she had to give Zy an alternative that would, at the least, shut him up for a few moments while she explained the pack, and overall situation, to both Violet and Dresna. Pulling herself crossly away from the male, Kasimira forced her hair to lie flat once more, and made a disgruntled face at Tortuga. Next time he acts up, you deal with him. As much as she loved Tortuga, somehow she always got caught playing bad cop in pack life. Tortuga seemed to take more of a 'crowd control' approach in most situations.
"Dresna, I'd like you to meet your new sklavin, Violet."
The queen grew prideful once more, standing to walk around the grey female. She nudged Violet gently to move forward and show her gaits.
"I picked her up just for you. I'd like you to practice your skills and train her. Hunting, courtesies, tracking, pack life--everything she'll need for life here in Irrsin. I'll be checking up, but for the most part, she's yours."
Kasimira moved to still next to Tortuga, excitement for her pup radiating. Even Zy couldn't ruin this.

Violet could tell from the way Kasimira was standing that she was displeased with her, yet she hadn’t said much about the tumble. The young female flattened her ears, hating to disappoint anyone. Her haunches ached from the treatment at Auktion rock and her tumble, but she didn’t dare sit. Instead, she shuffled her white paws, trying to stretch them out while they waited. Thoughts flickered through her mind like tiny birds, each one hard to catch and sort out. What if they dislike me? What if they are all bigger then me? What if I am the smallest member there? I’ll surely be called worse names then. What if I mess up? What if I mess up so bad they decide to eat me? That’s foolish, they aren’t carnivores! What if my new master is harsh? Or cruel? Or, or, or? Her thoughts ran around until she felt dizzy and she felt sick with nerves. At the sight of two pure white wolves loping over the crest towards them, Violet perked her ears in interest. One was obviously larger then the other, and by the smell of it, a male. Perhaps that alpha male? She thought to herself. Her

T O R T U G A When a familiar voice reached his ears, Tortuga could barely stop himself from grinning. Zy had always been a welcome source of company and amusement, although Kasimira didn’t seem to think so. Her snarling, snappy response, followed by the look that she shot him, had Tortuga straightening and rearranging his expression. It was hard to be serious with the ever-mischievous Zy around, but the last thing Tortuga wished for was an argument with his mate. I’ll help her more, he mentally decided, swishing his tail back and forth. Maybe then she’ll be a little less tense. While Kasimira was his heart, she was so fiery and hard to keep up with at times. They had different approaches to situations, different manners. But in a way, it was like she completed him.
When Kasimira addressed Dresna, Tortuga carefully listened, shifting slightly closer to Zy. A gift, eh? He thought as his gaze fell over the new sklavin. He could only wonder how Dresna would react, and how well she would do. She was so much like Kasimira sometimes that it amazed him, but then again, he had been told many times that her aloof demeanor must have come from him. She was the ideal mixture in his eyes, but the thought had his mind running to Marzell and Adelina.
Marzell, with his fiery, angry spirit. And Adelina, always right by his side, causing trouble with him. Tortuga was not prone to mushy behavior, but truthfully, he missed them. They had been such fine pups, and they had tugged at his heartstrings constantly. The look in Kasimrira’s eyes when she looked at them had been one of his favorite things. But now…
But now is not the time for such depressing thoughts. There are other serious matters to consider, and I cannot dwell.
Now was the time for him to think about the future. Smiling encouragingly at Dresna, he watched her carefully, curious to see how she would react to her gift. She had been taught thoroughly in the past, but never had she been presented with a sklavin to prove herself. He had no doubt that she would excel in any task given to her, but the interesting part was how. Would she break the sklavin down and rebuild her? Or would she be more patient?
Glancing at Zy out of the corner of his eye, Tortuga tilted his head slightly. He had heard little of the sklavin lately, but that was likely because Zy spent most of his time wandering or lazing about. Or maybe it was that he had been busy lately, between scouting and searching for his pups. He would have to spend more time socializing with the pack members, especially Zy, who had always been able to cheer him up with a snarky comment or silly remark. Content with his new intentions, he turned back towards Kasimira and Dresna, his eyes bright with pride.
ooc: it’s cruddy, but I have low muse for him :c Dresna’s will be better.

D R E S N A
The appearance of Zy only added more confusion to Dresna’s already disheveled thoughts. Frowning, she watched as her mother commanded control, straightening when she was addressed. The last thing she had been expecting was what her mother said.
"Dresna, I'd like you to meet your new sklavin, Violet. I picked her up just for you. I'd like you to practice your skills and train her. Hunting, courtesies, tracking, pack life--everything she'll need for life here in Irrsin. I'll be checking up, but for the most part, she's yours."
Blinking slowly, Dresna turned to stare at Violet, who looked worried as she cowered close to the ground. She seemed clueless on what to do as a sklavin, and Dresna knew that meant there would be more work for her. But she had to prove her worth somehow, and while she hadn’t been expecting it in this exact way, she had known it was coming. Smiling at her mother, she nodded her head slightly.
”Thank you. I’ll make sure she fits right in.”
Her words were filled with confidence as she moved closer to the sklavin, giving her another look over now that she knew Violet was hers. Each aspect of the female was etched into Dresna’s mind as she began to tackle her task mentally. First, she would have to work on courtesies. That was the most important thing, otherwise Violet would end up getting herself into difficult situations. From there she would move to hunting and tracking, to ensure tht she functioned as an essential part of the pack instead of a bothersome fly. Something deep inside of her pitied Violet for her situation, but Dresna had been born into this lifestyle; it practically ran through her veins. Pushing away thoughts of pity, she cleared her throat to address Violet.
”You’ll stay with me almost constantly. We have quite a lot of work to do.”
While her tone was not snarky, it was not gentle, either. Lifting her head, she glanced towards first her father, who was watching her proudly, and then to Kasimira. She had always sought her parent’s approval, but for some reason, Kasimira’s approval was the one Dresna craved. Now she had her opportunity. Blowing it was not an option.
Things were looking up now, slightly. If her mother was claiming sklavins again, their pack would grow. She might never see Calliope again, or Matrid, or even her siblings despite Marzell’s promise. But she would be strong, just like her parents were. Away from Irrsin the thoughts of ruling were stressful and troublesome, but inside of her home, she felt at home. It was like a missing puzzle piece, and although sometimes she longed to escape, she would always belong here.
Her weariness gone, she continued to look to her mother for further instruction, unsure if there was any other announcements. If not, she would pull Kasimira aside afterwards to tell her about Marzell. That could only make things better, after all. Her heart light for the first time in days, her lips pulled into a tiny smile.

--! Z YThe new girl blushed at his comment, but didn't directly say anything to the male's attempts at flirting. 'I'll take that response over a slap any day', he thought as his mental fist-pump was cut short by his angry dominor.
He couldn't help but smile inwardly as Kasimira fiercely snarled then stepped in between him and the new Sklavin. He loved pushing the girl's buttons, mostly because for him it was so easy. One slight step out of line while she was "addressing the people" or waving from her pope mobile to the masses and she got all puffed up like an angry balloon. The way her muzzle scrunched and how her eyes lit up, in Zy's opinion, were, simply put, 'hot'.
"What have I told you about this kind of behavior?! I have half a mind to rip out all your fur and take you back to the Auktion Rock like that. I'm sure they'd love to see you again, sweetie."
Her threat wasn't anything new. He swore at least twice a week she either directly threatened to ship him back to the rock or muttered it under her agitated glares. You'd think by now the male would have picked up on her lessons, but no, Zy was as slow and ignorant as he had ever been when it came to obeying orders. His smirk shifted to an exaggerated frown complete with apologetic puppy eyes, feigning insult as Kasimira gave Tortuga one of her 'It's your turn to deal with him' looks. The alpha-male's grin tried to shift towards a more serious expression in response.
"At least without fur the boys back there wouldn't recognize this handsome mug of mine", he lightly said back with a muffled grin as he began to shuffle closer to the other alpha.
He did feel a little bad whenever he caused Torts to get that look from his mate. Tortuga was, by far, his favorite wolf in Irrsin. He was relaxed and calm in almost every situation, and even had a humorous side to him that he loved. It wasn't that big of a secret that Zy had a total bromance going on with the attractive white alpha. If anyone could get him to behave, it was Tortuga, and Kasimira knew it.
But he hadn't seen the male dominor all that much recently. Zy figured it was because he was busy searching for his pups that were still missing after the fire. Even though the ashen male would admit that at first he was jealous of the little puffballs, there was a tiny part of him that became attached them. Marzell was one who he especially missed. They would always make snide comments and horrible jokes while Drezna would just look at them with face-palm filled disappointment.
Zy had looked for the other pack members on his escapades around the outskirts of Irrsin, and even into other territories, but he always wound up disappointed. At least Drezna was still around. He could remember finding her after the fire and realizing how much older she had become. It was an odd feeling, pride perhaps, when he saw her rising from the ash filled horizon after the blaze had died down. It was a different feeling than now, when Kasimira announced that the slave, called Violet, would belong to the white femme.
He felt rather... confused? No, that wasn't it. Conflicted maybe? Possibly. Whatever it was, it wasn't exactly negative, but not positive either. It was a sort of odd apathetic... slightly fearful feeling. The little pup he used to tease was taking her first steps into becoming a ruthless dominor. Sure, she was maturing into a decent young adult, but the thought of where dominors came from was something Zy never thought of before. He decided he didn't like thinking about it, and promptly stopped, though he missed whatever Drezna said after Kasimira's announcement.
The male gave an exaggerated wistful sigh as he sat next to Tortuga and dropped the flower at his feet. "Our little girl's growing up so fast."
OOC;; Mehhh. My head hurts. I take it this thread is wrapping up soon yes?

KASIMIRA "At least without fur the boys back there wouldn't recognize this handsome mug of mine"
At Zy's smart remark, Kasimira bit her tongue and decided the male wasn't worth it. Not today. Tomorrow, though, was a different story.
”Thank you. I’ll make sure she fits right in.”
Kasimira dipped her head at Dresna, accepting the response. If she did well, not only would Violet gain a higher rank in the pack, but Dresna herself would gain the understandings of a pack that included sklavins and lesser wolves. It was crucial for her to learn these important facets now, before she took over Irrsin on her own. She's gotten so old.. As her daughter turned to address Violet, Kasimira pushed the nostalgic feelings away to meet both Tortuga and Zy. Before her, the black sklavin was pressed lovingly up against her mate, speaking with a certain melancholy tone as he gazed in Dresna's direction.
"Our little girl's growing up so fast."
Rolling her blue eyes, Kasimira refused to acknowledge Zy's comment and instead focused her attention on the other Irrsin Alpha.
"How about the three of us go hunting while these two," and at this the queen tossed her head in Dresna's direction, "figure everything out? Plus, I'm starving."
Kasimira's tone was easily more of an open-ended question for her mate, allowing him to provide input for the day's activities. It had been a while since she'd approached him in such a light manner, and something inside her itched to be closer to Tortuga's warmth and atmosphere. She missed how they slept together after they had first arranged themselves as Alphas, the way they fit together in the coolness of their solitary den. Maybe tonight she could attempt to rekindle some of that fire and desire they'd had so long ago.
"And then later we could let Zy prove himself by running a night patrol with Dresna and Violet..."
Her eyes sparking with her mind's wandering thoughts, Kasimira arched her eye brows expressively, hoping the male would catch her drift. Part of the she-wolf wanted desperately to see Zy's look of surprise at the amount of freedom she was proposing he be given, but she kept her eyes on Tortuga, glancing down at his white fur every once in a while. It wasn't so much Zy's development in leadership that she was concerned about; she needed to be alone with Tortuga for a few hours. Just them and the wilderness that was their home. Maybe that would take her mind off the loss that her pack was suffering.

Everything was happening so fast that Violet wasn’t one hundred percent sure what was going on. She had tried to find names from everyone, and so far she could really only connect three name’s with faces. Obviously her Queen was Kasimira, then her new master was Dresna, and the witty male was Zy. She un-scrunched herself a little, almost coming to her full height of 27 inches. Her ears twitched as Dresna turned her attention towards her, ”You’ll stay with me almost constantly. We have quite a lot of work to do.”
Violet’s belly rolled in worry, nerves and perhaps even a little anticipation. What would pack life entail? Would it be similar to her family’s? Probably not, as her position was extremely different from her old life. She was the well loved baby there… here she was looked down upon as a Sklavin. The smoke-grey female could have sighed at the thought, but she held it in. Light blue-grey eyes looked around at her new family members, although she never held direct eye contact with either of them. She was curious about all of them, wanting to know what life was like before the fire, and how it would differ now.
The she-wolf could sense a tinge of sadness in the air, almost overpowering every other emotion there. Pack members had been lost, that much she could tell. How many she wasn’t sure, nor would she ask, thinking that would be extremely rude. She felt her mind wander as questions began to form and swarm around her brain like a hive of bees. Her nose crinkled in thought, something her sister’s would often tease her about, much to her dislike. She was so in thought, that once again she almost missed Kasimira’s orders. I must stop doing that or one day it will get me in trouble, she mentally scolded herself before forcing herself to pay attention.
"How about the three of us go hunting while these two figure everything out? Plus, I'm starving."
Vi felt her belly grumble at the word of hunting, but she knew she would have to wait awhile before she ate. A flicker of irritation ran through her, but she easily forced it down. She had a lot of patience, she could wait. Violet looked over at Dresna, although her eyes were down cast as she did, only seeing the female’s outline.
"And then later we could let Zy prove himself by running a night patrol with Dresna and Violet..."
Violet shivered, although the notion wasn’t really noticeable. Patrol? What’s night patrol? She asked herself, unsure of common terminology. The smoke-grey female wasn’t quite sure how she felt about spending an entire night with her new master AND the obviously loud mouthed, flirtatious male Zy. Pretend he’s Rue, just pretend he’s your equally loud mouthed sister.. except he isn’t a female.. and he isn’t your sister.. Violet groaned inwardly, this would be a disaster.

Adali Everything was different. Adali was not sure how long it had been since mother nature struck her wrath upon Irrsin and it's inhabitants. Had it been Months? Weeks? Days? Time had been lost on her when she had ran for her life, letting her legs carry her far away through forests and fields. The last time she'd seen her most recent home had been when it was up in flames. Now, though, it was mostly ashen. Wildflowers sprung from the ground here and there, seeking sunlight, but it did not look the same.
Light golden eyes searched the landscape that lay before her for any sign of the pack. Though she had been kept in this place as a slave, she still felt deep concern for her peers and leaders. The thought of their unknown fates and potential demise sickened her. And yet although she desperately desired to find them safe and sound, a part of her wished she hadn't returned. Perhaps it would of been a better idea to have stayed with Maddox, the kind wolf that had lead her home and brightened her spirits. Even if he hadn't offered, running away would of meant never having to see her home like this. Ignorance was always bliss.
A howl sounded off in the distance then, causing the white she-wolf's head and ears to bolt up in alert. She knew that howl like she knew her own. It was distant and faint, but it was most definitely there. With little hesitation, Adali was sprinting over the burnt land with vigor in the direction it had come.
It took the female a good amount of time to reach her dark-coated alphess who was not alone. It came as a surprise to Adali to see so many of them there, even if they were less. Slowing into a trot and then a walk, she lowered herself as she approached and tucked her tail as she so normally did. The confidence she had gained on her adventures faded as she slunk towards the remains of the pack. Such freedom she feared would get her punished. And all she found herself hoping for was they didn't take her disappearance and late arrival as disobedience.
Sitting herself on the outskirts of the group, she nodded her greetings to them as she could not find her voice in that anxious moment. Would they be happy to see her? Indifferent? Angry that she was gone for so long? Did they suspect she had run away purposefully? And for the love of the gods, she hoped the scent of the strange male she'd spent a recent day with wasn't lingering on her coat somehow.
(ooc: thought I'd jump in with Adali since she's returned!)

D R E S N A Amidst all the chattering and commotion, Dresna watched Violet.
She was quiet, that much was good. At least her mother hadn’t presented her with a rebellious, mouthy sklavin. Timid and clueless was so much easier, yet still, no less work. Dresna’s mind was still running over all of the details of what she would have to do, what to say, how to teach…it would be a process, but in a way, Dresna was glad to have something to occupy her time with. Shifting even closer to stand directly beside the sklavin, she leaned nearer to Violet to whisper as her mother spoke of night patrol with Tortuga.
”Night patrol is easy enough to grasp. We’ll be essentially exploring Irrsin and its borders, looking for anything odd. Tracks, scents, wolves that don’t belong. We’re basically keeping the peace. Understand?”
She flicked a glance in Violet’s direction, tilting her head as she studied her. She didn’t seem daft, either, so hopefully she would come to be a quick learner. Hunting was for another day, but that would be more difficult. Teaching her how to read the pack’s body language, how to properly hunt as a team with each of the individual pack members…well, she supposed she would tackle that mountain when she came to it. For now, she would settle on simple terminology and history, as well as etiquette. Hmm. And where to begin?
Out of the corner of her eye, Dresna caught a flash of white. Turning her head, her bright blue eyes locked onto a familiar slinking frame. It was Adali, one of the sklavins that had been part of Irrsin during the fire. Straightening suddenly, a loud cry of ”Adali!” escaped her lips, the surprise evident in her voice. After glancing quickly at her parents, Dresna tilted her muzzle towards Violet, muttering to fill her in. ”Adali is a sklavin as well. She’s been around for some time, but after the fire that destroyed Ravensbruck…well, this is the first time we’ve seen her since.”
Dresna quickly glanced around the circle, her gaze falling on Zy, who was hovering near her father. He had been the first one that she had found after the fire, and she could remember her joy when she had. Although she was expected to be as unflinching and unrelenting as her mother, she couldn’t help but harbor a tad bit of affection for Zy. She had grown up with him, and even though he had been a bit closer to Marzell and Adelina, she was still happy to have found him lolling in the ash. With Adali’s return, Dresna began to wonder. Who else could be out there still, trying to find their way back, or maybe enjoying freedom? Calliope and Matrid, who had helped care for her when she was small, Kyren with his dislike for Zy…and Adelina, her sister. Maybe, just maybe, they were out there somewhere alive and well. Or maybe she was a fool for hoping. Dresna couldn’t help it though. The happiness and normality that flowed through Irrsin today was more than a little bit contagious.

T O R T U G A As Tortuga stood watching the little pack interact, an odd feeling of something mingled with pride and sorrow swelled in his chest. They had lost so much but somehow, Zy was still…well, Zy, Kasimira was still just as domineering and fiery as she had ever been, and even Dresna was coping well. It was amazing in a way how they had been separated and then had found each other again. We can build, he thought certainly. ”We can get back to where we were.
”Our little girl’s growing up so fast.”
Somehow, Zy seemed to have slunk closer, and was now practically molded into Tortuga’s side. His chest rumbling with suppressed laughter, Tortuga aimed a nudge in Zy’s direction before turning his attention to his mate as she addressed him, proposing a hunt. Tortuga’s stomach rumbled in acknowledgement, and the idea of chasing down a nice deer or two was tempting. The prey was slightly less plump and significantly more skittish after the fire, but they would still make an excellent meal. ”Sounds like a plan to me,” he rumbled. ”If I don’t eat something soon, I’m going to wither away.”
A small smile pulled at his lips, his eyes shining with amusement and mirth. His spirits had lifted considerably, and it showed clearly in the way the brute stood. Often times lately he had been prone to stress and agitation, but today…things were different.
"And then later we could let Zy prove himself by running a night patrol with Dresna and Violet..."
There was something subtle in her tone that made Tortuga glance towards her sharply. The look in her eyes made his smile widen as he nodded to her in acknowledgement. It had seemed like ages since he had been alone with her, and if he was being honest with himself, he missed her. He missed that look she got in her eyes, and the feel of her soft fur against his. Truthfully he was just as enamored with her as he had been the day that he had met her, and the prospect of spending a night with her had his good mood soaring even higher. Once he got her alone…
”Adali?”
Tortuga whipped his head around at the sound of Dresna’s voice, his gaze falling immediately on the timid white sklavin. He could clearly remember the day he had traveled to auktion rock to claim her as a gift for Kasimira, although he had truthfully believed her to be long gone. Snorting his surprise, he turned his bulky body towards her, tilting his head as his eyes slid over her frame. She looked unharmed, for the most part, so taking sure to keep his tone mostly flat and only slightly pleasant, he muttered, ”Well, well. Welcome back.”
She was Kasimira’s sklavin, after all, and although Tortuga’s eyes flickered with glee, it would not please Kasimira if he seemed overly glad to see Adali. He could only wonder how his mate would react to the sklavin’s extended absence.
Another interesting turn…
