OOC Hey! It's Ruki! :D Been workin' on a new skin, which is why I haven't posted much, and it's finally done! Mostly anyway. Change it to Umber Fields and you should see all the fun. There are bound to be a few kinks in the display, so please tell me if there's anything wrong, or if something just looks odd to you, like if the font's too small. :C I'm thinkin' it might be. Staff ppl should pm me with 100x100 icons. Also the mini-profile circle images are 125x125. I thought they were 100x100 at first, but no, I forgot about the circle border edits. |D Couldn't have gotten it done without the codes from the people in the credits, so silent shoutout to them. Staytuned for more weird updates. Might do some re-arranging of the boards. Anywho, hope you like it!

Ody and Raven have their own rules for this, so read them and adopt a pup if y'all want. SPRANG BRAAAAKE.
2/26/15 WHY HELLO! Guess who it is again. Ruki. I've been busy condensing rules and tips into a handy updated guidebook here on THIS PAGE! with the help of my fellow staff buddies. It's super important to read and make sure you get all the fun info down. The newest rule is about ALPHA ACTIVITY, so be sure to read the Lands and Territories section. The gist of it is that yall leaders gotta post once a week. If you don't POOF. No more land for you. This is a new rule, but if you haven't posted within the next few days and haven't been active in a while, you best get on that 'cause yo' land's 'bout to be snatched.
IC Spring is here at last and the land is beginning to flourish with new life once more. Young animals are plentiful and slowly others are rousing out of hibernation. April showers rain down, and springtime flowers are budding out from their winter beds. SPRING will last from April 1st - June 1st

All around her, there was silence.
Regnen was as beautiful as Sinead had heard it was, and yet, there was something almost haunting about the silence that greeted her arrival. She had heard little of the pack since many moons ago, when word had reached her ears that Regnen had been claimed. For days it had worried at her brain, convincing her finally that she should introduce herself to her...neighbors. Stolz of Regnen would either prove to be an admirable ally, or a dangerous foe, depending solely on how he reacted to her visit. And, of course, how useful to her he seemed.
From the looks of it, Regnen was empty, but that wasn't saying much. Her own pack was pitifully small, and there was little that Sinead could do about it. With the events of the fire still looming over Ravensbruck like a cloud, she had seen little activity in the form of sklavins, or anyone else for that matter. Frustration more than anything had truly driven her here today, but if Stolz was facing the same predicament that she was, how would she sort it out?
Sighing softly to herself, Sinead pressed on through the forest, trying her hardest to ignore the way the underbrush tugged stubbornly at her grayish fur. The thick, leafy canopy offered blessed relief from the sweltering sun, so very different from Einheit, where the only shade for miles was found in the tiny, dusty dens. Still, though, Sinead did not regret claiming the vast stretch of hard dirt for her home. It weeded out the weak, left room only for the strongest members that adapted and learned to live in the harsh conditions. It was, in her own humble opinion, ideal.
It was only once the trees began to clear slightly, forming a small clearing, that Sinead came to a stop. The scent of a brute was stronger now, signaling that Stolz was either very close, or had been recently. Sucking in a deep breath, Sinead threw her head back, letting a howl slip from her lips. It stretched for a moment, strong and clear, before tapering to an abrupt halt. Lowering her head, she waited, her bushy tail swaying back and forth, seagreen eyes searching the surrounding area. Her entire body was tensed with anticipation, her ears pricked forward eagerly to detect any movement. She had heard nothing of cruelty or fear surrounding Stolz name, but that meant little, for if he recognized her scent or appearance, the fact that she was a rival Alpha could very easily put her on his bad side right off the bat.
The large male was pacing across his territory, frustration bubbling up inside of his bodice. It had been many days since anyone had wandered into his lands, even more days since he had a potential member cross his borders. He grunted as he took a swipe at a near by tree, his thick black claws striking the hard bark. Three crooked claw marks were left behind, sap bleeding out of the wound. How was he supposed to make his pack grow when there was no one around? There was no way that he could rise as an alpha if there were no members. Huffing, he sat on the ground and glared at the scored tree. If only it would manifest into a wolf who wanted to join.
After he decided that the tree was not going to let him in on any secrets, he rose to his paws and started to walk towards the main clearing. It was a high activity area, it was a great meeting space for his wolves, and it was were he more commonly ran into other beings. He was just about to make his way into the opening when a howl broke the silence that had spread across the land. With his ears perked, he dropped down into a crouch and tried to inspect the wolf from afar. Hmm, by her scent she was a female. Narrowing his stunning green eyes he took in her form, seeing her as either a higher rank or an Alpha. And then there was that coat colour, and pale green eyes. Where had he heard of her before? Righting himself, he shook the foliage off of his multi-hued coat and pushed past the bushes. Clearing his throat, he tried to not startle the dame. Optics slightly narrowed, he was cautious, yet not stand-off-ish. Had to be careful will higher ups in his land. "Hello," he stated simply, sniffing the air around her now that he was closer. There was a bit of a dusty, earthy smell to her. What area would smell of that? Not quite able to put two and two together, he offered her a small smile.
"What brings you into my lands?" he asked softly, a more gentle tone than a demanding one. Was this an answer to his plea for more members, or was she an Alpha here to chat about the weather? Either way, he wasn't going to chase her off. She seemed to be posing no threat at the moment, so he would proceed with caution.

From across the vast forested lands, Phrino heard a howl, and it wasn't a voice he recognized. Immediately the male's fur rippled uncomfortably. There hadn't been much movement within Regnen's boundaries ever since Stolz had taken over the Alpha slot. None of Regnen's previous wolves, freiors or sklavin, had returned, which Phrino himself could only chalk up to Erus' lack of real leadership knowledge along with the impositions he'd created for all of his pack mates. He'd been unfair and not well liked. The only reason Phrino himself had returned was because Regnen was his home as of current; where else would he go if not back to these forests? Dachau would never accept him back now. He'd been gone too long to return to his coveted Zielle life without prodding questions and a possible interview with the Viers for his absence without leave. Too long to be welcomed home, yet not long enough to have established himself well enough into the complications of Ravensbruck's frail framework.
Pulling himself away from the hunting he had been about to indulge in, Phrino pushed himself into a steady lope. Hopefully Stolz had heard the intruder's call; if not, this would be the first test of his leadership under his Alpha. Appointed to Beta only a few weeks ago, Phrino relished in the freedom Stolz allotted him. There was no one but the two of them, but the hinting possibility of leading as a second-in-command for Regnen made the khaki male grow prideful in the mellow life he now lead. Ravensbruck was no Dachau--that was for certain in more than one way--but for the mean time he could be at least somewhat content with the cards dear Brenn had cast for him.
With a Zielle's fast paced huff, Phrino tore through the forest he'd been committing to memory. Knowing his terrain would come in handy if invaders or otherwise decided to happen upon the pack, and the past weeks had been ideal for working out and learning the ways of the land. The noise had come from the southwestern border, and as Phrino reached the edge he slowed considerably, scenting the air as he'd been taught for years. The element of surprise was key, no matter what side you happened to be on.
"Hello. What brings you into my lands?"
Just as Stolz's familiar scent washed over him, Phrino heard his voice only a few tail-lengths away. The male righted himself and gave his chest a cautious lick before striding into the underbrush to make his arrival. Striding through the bushes, Phrino's golden eyes first locked on the supposed intruder. Well, hello there.. He didn't even need to scent the air. She was obviously female.
Her posture was that of an Alpha without a doubt, but Phrino held her gaze carefully, considering her quietly. She was in his lands, and the eye-contact between such had never quite bothered him like it should have. All of the simple, formal stuff aside, he had to admit she was rather pretty. Pretty? Ugh, what was he kidding, she was a true vixen. It was the green-blue eyes that entranced him the most for sure. He had always been a sucker for gorgeous eyes... After a moment of relatively polite surveying, his dust-colored paws moved instinctively to Stolz's right side. Phrino turned his head to the male, dipping it in custom of greeting his superior.
"Thought you might like some company."
With another glance at the female, Phrino courageously risked a subtle wink. Hopefully it wouldn't offend her, but the masculine side of him roared and he was one to always comply easily. Besides, Wicca probably wouldn't be showing her face around these parts for a while... What could be wrong with a little innocent flirting?
Only a few short moments passed before Sinead saw it. Out of the corner of her eye, there was a flicker of movement. Turning her head sharply, her bright eyes locked onto her target, none other than Stolz himself approaching slowly. Or, at least she thought it was Stolz. Yes, I've heard a lot about those emerald eyes. Self-proclaimed King of Ravensbruck, now the new Alpha of Regnen. Either very brave or very stupid, but Sinead had to admire the brute's ambition. He obviously knew what he wanted, and went for it. That had to count for something, right?
"Hello. What brings you into my lands?"
A smile greeted her along with his words, which made Sinead relax slightly. Perhaps she wouldn't have to fight her way out of here today. He seemed amiable enough, if not slightly cautious - and rightly so. She could see a flicker of something in his eyes...recognition? Or perhaps not. Maybe he wasn't aware of who she was just yet. Sinead had just began to form a response when suddenly, something else caught her attention. Approaching quickly was another wolf, male as well, with creamish fur and a confident air about him. He was obviously a higher position, but what? Beta? Nevermind, I'll find out later.
He sauntered up to Stolz side, shot a quick comment the alpha's way, and then turned those stunning golden eyes on her. When he winked, Sinead couldn't pretend she wasn't surprised; he was bold and practically oozing testosterone. She studied him for a long moment, before sparing him her most charming smile. Then, drawing herself up proudly, she continued on with her explanation.
"My name is Sinead," she began in a voice that was like honey. The very same voice that could snap and crackle ferociously, but they didn't need to know that yet. "I'm the alpha of Einheit, and I'd heard Regnen had been claimed, so I came to introduce myself."
She paused for a moment, flicking a glance to the flirtatious male before back to Stolz. "I've heard of you. Stolz, if I'm correct. But I can't say I've heard of your friend here." Another quick dart of her gaze, holding it on the stranger longer this time. They seemed to be doing well enough; better off than her, anyways. With Sayang's disappearance and Merona permanently quiet, only buzzards and skinny little hares kept her company in Einheit. Not that she could admit that; not yet. Sinead had never been one to show weakness, and she wasn't about to start now.
Pulling herself back to the present, she relaxed her body and pricked her ears forward to show curiosity and relaxation, despite the way her eyes examined the two before her. She was watching and listening, learning everything she could about Regnen and it's pack members while she was beyond the border.
"I hope I'm not intruding. Curiosity was just eating me alive." She smiled then, her eyes glimmering in the rays of sunlight that fell across her frame. Maybe today would be interesting after all.
He was gazing at the female when he heard the far off shuffle of paws. Twitching his auds, he perked up and turned his head in the direction of the sound. Who could that be? Lifting his head, he stretched himself on his toes to try and see past the clearing and into the trees. When the tan fur of his Duke marched out of the woods, he offered him a smile. Ah, he was glad that he was here. This was good for him to be here to talk to this female. He was about to look back at said female when he caught the stare that Phrino was giving her. Ah, she was quite pretty. Casting a quick gaze between the two, he chuckled and turned his attention back to the dame.
When Phrino said he wanted company, he flashed a smile and looked at him out of the corner of his eyes. "I appreciate it." He said softly, bumping his shoulder against Phrino's, when the dame spoke. Giving her all of his attention, his cranium dipped in a more formal greeting when she stated her name. Ah, so she was an Alpha, he had called it on that part. "Pleasure Sinead, I am glad that you came to introduce yourself to me. I have always believed to know your neighbours." He said, words flowing out of his mouth. He was quite a chatty one, but also a little proud. Couldn't really help but insert himself in that conversation.
Nodding his head, he flashed her a smile. "Why yes, I am Stolz. This here is Phrino, my Duke. Er.. like a beta." He clarified. He had different terms for his ranks, so he might as well clarify that. Folding himself to his rump, he settled down in front of the two. While he was still slightly tense, the fact that she was at ease settled him somewhat. When the two gazed at each other, his gaze danced back and forth over the dame and brute, locked in a really strange stare. His ears flickered in a bit of awkwardness, making him clear his throat. This was... strange.
When she spoke of being curious, he chuckled softly. "Curiosity killed the cat you know." He teased, giving her a swift, playful wink. "Is there anything that I can tell you that would sade your curiosity?" Stolz asked, curling his large, fluffy tail around his white paws.
