OOC Hey! It's Ruki! :D Been workin' on a new skin, which is why I haven't posted much, and it's finally done! Mostly anyway. Change it to Umber Fields and you should see all the fun. There are bound to be a few kinks in the display, so please tell me if there's anything wrong, or if something just looks odd to you, like if the font's too small. :C I'm thinkin' it might be. Staff ppl should pm me with 100x100 icons. Also the mini-profile circle images are 125x125. I thought they were 100x100 at first, but no, I forgot about the circle border edits. |D Couldn't have gotten it done without the codes from the people in the credits, so silent shoutout to them. Staytuned for more weird updates. Might do some re-arranging of the boards. Anywho, hope you like it!

2/26/15 WHY HELLO! Guess who it is again. Ruki. I've been busy condensing rules and tips into a handy updated guidebook here on THIS PAGE! with the help of my fellow staff buddies. It's super important to read and make sure you get all the fun info down. The newest rule is about ALPHA ACTIVITY, so be sure to read the Lands and Territories section. The gist of it is that yall leaders gotta post once a week. If you don't POOF. No more land for you. This is a new rule, but if you haven't posted within the next few days and haven't been active in a while, you best get on that 'cause yo' land's 'bout to be snatched.
IC Spring is here at last and the land is beginning to flourish with new life once more. Young animals are plentiful and slowly others are rousing out of hibernation. April showers rain down, and springtime flowers are budding out from their winter beds. SPRING will last from April 1st - June 1st
Azrael cursed herself and the situations she seemed to get herself into. Here she was a former heir of a great ruthless pack now about to be sold as a slave. Disgraceful her father would be surely rolling in his grave if he could see her now.
Her dark fur was a bit dusty from the journey to get here hiding her beautiful sleek black coat. Her silver eyes were wild and angry a dark storm brewing in her usually care free eyes. She had not expected her journey to go this way. Ever since she was exiled by her half brother she had gone from land to land meeting new wolves and trying to find a place to fit in so far she had no luck when she came to these lands she was met with a dreadful surprise. She had barely been in these lands a day when she was ambushed and now being brought here to be sold. Pathetic.
She could here her brothers taunts in her head The great Azrael angel of death sold to be a slave how the mighty have fallen dearest sister she growled low in her throat she could even hear his dark laughter echo in her dark head. I have not fallen I will rise up higher then ever she swore back to him then berated herself. Talking to herself great just great. One thing was for sure though she will not be a slave for long this isnt the first sticky situation she got herself into and she will be damned if this would be her undoing.
It had been two weeks since Marzell had finally accepted the worst and turned him back on the Irrsin pack for good. There was no use in waiting anymore. After the fire, Adelina and himself had wandered together, hoping and praying that somehow they would find someone, anyone from their pack. But Iudex had made it clear that such a case was not in their favor. A fierce band of rogues stumbled upon the young adults instead, forcing them into the race of their life as they fled from the slave traders. Marzell had told Adelina to run, that he would hang back and play prey to the renegades. She had persisted otherwise, her stubborn nature kicking in as usual, and they were forced to make a split at the last possible second.
Marzell had ripped in the opposite direction, hoping against all hope that their pursuers would follow him instead of his sister. The original group of six broke into an even three, with Marzell losing sight of Adelina. Racing into Einheit in a mad frenzy to lose the brutes, Marzell's only thought was to bring Phantom into the mess and ideally use his already caustic anger as a backfire on his tormentors. Everywolf in Ravensbrück knew of Phantom's rage and how it was not a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, Marzell had forgotten one key component of his plan: Phantom had long since left Einheit, with Absinthe as his much more recluse-inclined successor. The land, although apparently claimed by a dominor, was stark without a true pack and Marzell was forced to ditch his plan and run further into the heart of the country.
The chase eventually ended with the young Irrsin male losing the rogues in an old switch-back. It was a move Tortuga had taught him months ago, mostly to use in the art of hunting. It worked easily enough, Marzell running through a small stream and making a large circle pattern before ducking into the nearest fox hole he'd seen on the first trip around. He had gotten lucky finally--both the overwhelming scent of fox and the small size of the den played to his advantage. Marzell knew full-well that he was still considerably smaller than the older wolves, and he was not below putting his pride away for the moment to use his size to his advantage in a scenario such as this.
After the wolves had finally accepted defeat regarding his whereabouts, Marzell tried vainly to trace his sister's tracks. Back to being unlucky. Adelina had fled in a direction only Iudex knew, with her trail light and untraceable. Marzell, his heart broken by the lost of his sister, returned to the only place he knew: Irrsin.
In its blackened state, his home land was no refreshing point of view for the young male. His pack was scattered if not dead, his sister possibly in the hands of slave traders or worse. Marzell took the liberty of sleeping a few days in the old Alpha den that he had always been allowed to occupy with his parents up until Dresna's coronation. After three days of haunting Irrsin like an ashen shadow of the fire's cinders however, he was greeted with a surprise. Gabriel. Marzell wasn't sure how long the sklavin had been in the area before he noticed him. All he knew was that along with Gabriel were three other wolves he'd counted as good as dead: Kasimira, Tortuga, and Dresna.
As soon as he'd seen his older sister's blindingly white pelt, he turned and left. Jealously and pain rumbled angrily in his stomach, flaring in bouts as he ran from his home. There wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that he was going to return home and play nice to her. The loss of being named heir had been merely bearable with Adelina's presence as they secretly mocked their sister behind turned ears. But without her to soothe his spirits at times, Marzell knew the temptation to cause a stir would be too hard to resist. Besides, he didn't care to be left at home with mother dearest anymore while Tortuga took his lovely daughter out to learn the ways of an Alpha. With envy blanketing his shoulders, Marzell ran as hard as he could from the scene unfolding before him. They would just assume he'd been lost to the fire. It was easier this way.
And now, after days of scavenging on his own and hiding on the edge of pack lands, Marzell had somehow made his way to the Auktion Rock. He wasn't even sure why he was here. Half of the male still clung to the idea that maybe Adelina would be here, waiting to be claimed if she hadn't been already. He would find her in a rough shape and claim her as a dominor. He would take her away from the atrocities they had gone through in the past few months and nurse her back to health. He would claim a small territory for the two of them--or maybe they would travel as freiors together. Either way was fine with him, as long as he could see his sister again. She was all he had left from Irrsin anymore.
Tail raised as to not bring suspicion to his true rank, Marzell found a quiet place in the Auktion Rock to sit and observe the proceedings. Most wolves were being sold from the top of the main stage--which in truth, was a large rock with a relatively flat top--as dominors and slave traders alike called out claims before another wolf could say otherwise. It was a vulgar and disgusting affair, with the mingling of sweat and despairing glances from the sklavins being paraded around. Marzell himself had never been taken the the Auktion Rock his mother ventured to so often, and he found himself wondering what else of his parents he didn't know about.
The male watched and waited as a raven-coated female was moved onto the stage. Unlike the other sklavin presented, her body language was strangely defiant. Her eyes were glaring and accusing as she glanced around, flaring arrogance at any wolf who looked at her the wrong way. Marzell was immediately entranced. There was something different about her. Something he liked. She didn't belong here, that was for sure. Another male called out a claim, and Marzell felt his stomach twist. Instead of retaining his cool and quiet approach, he boldly stepped forward to shout out his response.
Marzell jerked and glanced around almost sheepishly as he realized that he'd actually spoken out loud. What was he thinking? He wasn't a dominor. He didn't even have a land. Pshh, he'd figure it out along the way. Zy had taught him enough about taking things in stride and using them to his advantage. Marzell, his blue eyes flashing with a secret, flirtatious intention, sidled forward to claim his prize.
What a way to start his life as a freior.
ooc- I apologize for writing a novel. I got way out of hand, haha. Not sure where you'd like this to go, but I'm up for anything. Maybe a possible love interest? Or they could simply be companions. Whatever you'd like!
Azrael was taken actually she was more like dragged up on to what she would call a stage. She snarled at the ones keeping her captive she would not go so quietly she was not one of the others starving and born for this life. She was of strong blood and she was a fighter till the death.
The wolves there to buy smirked and oggled her what she wouldnt do to jump down their and tear those smirks of their faces. She growled low and kept her head high. She would no submit to them. "Oh dear sister look at what your future is to be used and abused by one of these males prepare to bow for your futue master." Her growl escalated but she would no longer humor the ghost like taunts from her brother.
"No..Shes mine" She heard a male call out and her head whipped to see who dare claimed her and found her silver stormy eyes locked with piercing blue. The male walked towards her and she gave a smirk her canines showing. Alright pretty boy let the games begin.
With the female's fate summoned and sealed, Marzell watched curiously as she was pulled down from the Auktion Rock and shoved in his general direction.
"Take her, brute. Next!"
It was cruel, the way affairs were handled here. Marzell shook himself inwardly to keep himself from snarling in disgust. What wolves lived like this? The sklavins in Irrsin had never been treated well, but their lives, or so he was inclined to believe, had been much easier and calm than this pathetic attempt. What had driven his mother to look for members in a place as forsaken as this? There was no way Iudex could possibly look at what happened here and not grieve for his children.
Regardless, he had to move on, accept the proceedings. It wasn't anything he could change at the moment by any means. Stifling a sigh, Marzell let his blue eyes glance at the female he'd "claimed". (How did one simply claim another anyways?) As their eyes met, a shiver ran up the length of the male's black spine. Her eyes were that of a silver storm, flickering and... flirtatious?
Well. He knew well enough he was a stud. If anything, Zy had taught and practically ingrained in him that sense of confidence--not that it was needed with a parental unit such as Kasimira and Tortuga. Marzell felt something inside of him rumble with pleasure in response to the female's grin. Part of him warned to shove the emotions away, but still drunk on the speed with which time was moving, Marzell blatantly ignored the instinct. Instead, he moved forward to meet the female, his eyes still locked with hers.
"And what might your name be, miss?"
It wasn't with any sense of supremacy that Marzell addressed the female, but his eyes remained studying her, intent on showing his more dominant side. If her previous actions meant anything, she would certainly test him. Marzell stopped just before he reached the female, taking the liberty to sit before her. His ears pricked for any response, simply waiting and listening. Show me what you've got.
Azrael watched as her new "master" approached. Ha we will see how long that little arrangement lasted/.
When he asked her name her lips pulled back into a snarl. "Azrael" her name was spit out like venom from a rattlensnakes fangs. He was flirtatious and a bit arrogant from what she could tell and if he thought he could charm her into being submissive to him this male had another thing coming.
Though he sat she kept standing her muscle rolling underneath her dark fur tense and ready for anything that he could throw at her. She glared at him her silver eyes narrowed to barely slits.
"You are called what?" She didnt ask out of curiousness or courtesy no she simply wanted to know he had given her a chance to escape it will be easier escaping him then the so called wolves that captured her and kept her here. A nice opportunity if she had to kill him she would do so with a quick death out of thankfulness.
She held her head high in defiance against him and and let out of low snort of amusement. You dont know what you got into little male.
For such an austere she-wolf, the name seemed too dainty at first notion. She had effortlessly made the whole situation short and sweet, with no further explanation or introductions needed. Hell, she was downright cold, if not caustically bitter. The fangs, the snarl, the annoyance that radiated from her; all of it pricked Marzell like a sweat bee in the middle of a blaring summer--irritating, but nothing worth swatting at. Her reaction, her movements were child's play to him. She's more than entitled to be upset with her position, Marzell sympathized. The only remaining question inside him spoke quietly from the back of his mind, wondering if her blunt demeanor was her typical aggression or if it had simply transferred in his direction for "claiming" her in the first place.
"You are called what?"
Not only was the female's voice visibly strained as she spoke, but Marzell almost immediately noticed her stance, with the clenched muscles and stand-offish glance. It spoke plainly of a general lack of trust, shadowed behind those narrowed, glimmering silver eyes. She certainly wasn't a push over, that much was for sure.
"The name is Marzell."
Zy's influence on the male sparked again as he responded. He flashed another smirk at the female before winking. Marzell's approach was bold, sure, but maybe she would respond better to such a direct fling. Then again, maybe she wasn't the flirtatious type he had originally taken her for. He could only hope for the best; if she was the crude, blunt sort, she wouldn't take to being hit on well and he could see this relationship turning south real fast. Especially with the callous temper she'd already shown.
"You ready to go, gorgeous?"
Marzell shook his black pelt roughly as he stood up, dropping his gaze from her silver irises and glancing around the Auktion Rock hesitantly. It had been easy enough to enter the Auktion grounds and claim a sklavin, but what was he to do now? Where could he go? He didn't have a land to return to, and since he'd been roaming incessantly for the past couple of weeks, he hadn't exactly made a make-shift anything in the places he'd stayed. He'd been living the freior life to the fullest, embracing the nomadic lifestyle with ease. Getting use to that schedule was easier than returning to Irrsin. At least for now.
Contemplating their situation for a few moments, Marzell finally decided that their first objective was to leave the Auktion Rock in one piece. He could play the rest by ear from there. The somber-colored male waved his tail for Azrael to follow, trotting carefully towards the exit of the Auktion Rock with his posture mimicking that of the other dominors. Iudex willing, they could somehow leave without a snag.. Marzell glanced back, and barked a command for good measure. He needed to play the part vocally as well.
"Hurry up, would you? I haven't got all day."
ooc- try and watch your word count :) there is a word counter at the bottom of the posting block for you if you need one!
