Eärlindë Séregon
"Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother."
this is me in the flesh,
NAME: Eärlindë Séregon
NICKNAME(S): Shadow
PRONUNCIATION: Air-lyn-da
POSITION: (slave, free-roamer, dominor)
taste the sky,
AGE: 1,156 days, or three years and two months
GENDER: Two X chromosomes creates a female
BREED: Gray Wolf
HEIGHT: She is only 23 inches to the shoulder (was a runt)
APPEARANCE:
Shadow is blessed with a sumptuous black coat that is as dark as charcoal. Although not completely black she has a slight gray hue to her undercoat. Under the moonlight her fur seems to almost glow but it is just the reflection of the light her gray fur. Her eyes are a deep blue-gray that resemble smoke rising from a chimney on a bleak winters night. They have an eerie look that can captivate you, mesmerize you, and make you want to look into them longer. They say that the eyes are the windows to ones soul, but Shadow's eyes are just like that thick smoke, unchanging and thick- too thick to show any emotion. Instead they constantly give that same, ghostly dead look. She resents her eyes, hating how unnatural they are. But she is still normal, right?
Now, as far as her body goes, Shadow is a small wolf. She is only 23 inches to the shoulder, and extending from her thin neck is a small head. Like the rest of her body, he muzzle is thin and narrow, her ears small and pointed, and her eyes set symmetrically on face. She weighs in at only 62 pounds so she is either mistaken for being young, or even a very large fox from a distance. With her low body weight, other wolves tend to view her as weak, but her small size gives her an agility and speed advantage that, paired with a cunning mind, can be used very effectively to her advantage. Her frame is also thin and long, as well as her legs-she's almost lanky. Despite her thinness (that can't really be noticed too much due to her fur) she is very muscular and has a deep chest that houses two large lungs that allow her to run great distances. Her tail is long and very thick and fluffy and is almost the length of her body. Don't underestimate size.
thoughts that make me go insane,
PERSONALITY:
This small female is a closed book. Everything she knows, everything she feels, everything that goes on inside of her is kept a closely guarded secret. Basically, everyone must be kept in the dark. That's just her thing, to keep all the information she knows to herself, even if it's crucial to those around her, unless she was asked to gather that information. Why should she? It is a battle of the fittest and the wisest even in a pack dynamic; besides, keeping information away from others is seen as an advantage in her eyes. And why should she let others inside to the depths of her soul and let them figure her out; learn her likes, dislikes, her weaknesses and fears? If they knew those crucial details, they could be used against her.
Shadow is not very social, she tends to hang back in the shadows, stalk silently, and blend in with the cover of darkness in which she thrives. She is clearly anti-social --shying away from groups-- rarely initiating conversation (unless she has to, or occasionally feels like it) and giving curt replies. However, don't underestimate her. When the situation calls for it, Shadow's commanding air bubbles forth to the surface, even though she tries to hide it. The way she holds herself speaks of her past position and that she is used to being the one giving commands, not following them.
Another thing about Shadow is that she looks at everyone like they are out to get her. She looks at them like they are her enemy, like they want her dead or some other crazy notion. It's easy to say she has trust issues but if you can get into her icy heart and gain her trust, you will not regret it- she will have your back. Rarely though does anyone meet her high standards for someone to even be considered an acquaintance of hers. Because no one knows her well it is extremely easy for her to lie, to make things up and say it in such a way that it can't help but be believed. In her mind she has to keep track of her lies, make sure none of them contradict each other. Will anyone catch her in the act?
As easily as she acts subdued and silent her rage and temper can lash out in a heartbeat. To others that is how it will seem, that she is suddenly enraged but truth be told she harbors her hatred, controls her demeanor until she cannot stand it anymore. It would not be too far from the truth to say that she may even want the aggravators life. When she believes she is right there is no debating- in her mind she is right and she will actually go great lengths to prove it. It's her way or no way, or at least with lower ranking wolves, she has no problem questioning an alpha, trying to debate with them, see how far she can push them before they crack down on her. Of course if she feels they deserve respect, if they have honor and control, they will find that this mysterious little female can be loyal despite how she acts otherwise.
Despite her rashness, her quietness, and her ever gloomy expression she has a maternal side, a side where she becomes "soft" and "nurturing". If she had pups of her own she would fight for them for the death and do all she could to teach them the ways of the world. Actually, pups were something she wanted before, when she was in her home land and could promise them a future. But now she has nothing and feels is would be wrong to bring new life into the world.
All in all, she is a complicated little female whose persona is very strange and odd. I guess you'll just have to get to know her and find out the truth.
all over my shoulder,
FATHER: Galadriël Séregon
MOTHER: Fëawen Séregon
SIBLINGS: Celebriän Fëfalas [Kohl]
HISTORY:
The wind howled in the dead of night, echoing in the cave. A small female was giving birth, with many wolves surrounding her with her mate by her side. The female, had given birth to three pups, but only one was born alive. The pup born alive was smaller than the rest of the dead pups and the pack knew straight away she was a runt. But was she? The pups' mother, was a small black Canadian Wolf (aka eastern timber wolf), standing only twenty-one inches to the shoulder, and the father was also black and consisted of a different breed; Gray Wolf. Twas not too strange of a combination but who is to go against the natural force of love?
It was obvious that the only pup of theirs born alive, would be black just like them. It was not until hours later, while the mother, Fëawen Séregon, was cleaning off her pup did she realize it was a female. "Tis a female!" Her clear voice rang out, her pitch overpowering even the winds. The large male, Galadriël Séregon, licked his mates muzzle and turned to the nine wolves surrounding them and spoke with authority, "From this point on my daughter shall be known as Eärlindë Séregon, the heir to the Rouka Pack!" The whole cave began to ring loudly with the barks from the others, as they all crammed around the mother to look at their future ruler.
While all voids were drawn onto Eärlindë she was completely unaware of them for being so young, she could not hear nor see, all she knew was to suckle her mum's milk. But, as everyone was in a joyful mood and all congratulating their alphas, one wolf stayed back, one wolf was not happy. One-year-old Celebriän Fëfalas [Kohl], the alpha female's first pup from a litter of the past year with a different male, was fuming but also happy. He had been deemed heir to the throne, but now some new flesh and blood runt was taking it. However, he realized that maybe he was brought to the world to protect her!
Eärlindë surprised them all by growing at a normal rate, and developing when she was suppose to. Now, having full control over her body, being able to see and hear, she was eventually let out of the den. The world around her surprised her, scared her, and captivated her at the same time. Eager to learn more about it she would always test her caretakers or her mother on how far she could roam, but it was never far. Elders of the pack were always graced by her presence a lot as she got older in age, for she would ask them continuous questions about the world, what it was like for them growing up, all their experiences and so on. That is what she would do for hours until the elders got weary of her and said they had to sleep. Sitting perfectly still, blue voids would stare at them almost unblinkingly, audits perked up as best as they could and all her attention would be on them. Eärlindë learned a lot this way, much more than one her age should, or would know.
Play was something she never knew, for there were never any other pups and her brother, was never around... He had been exiled to Omega and not allowed to be near her or even glimpse at her. Why? Galadriël thought it unsafe, that he would try to kill her, but he couldn't banish him for fear of his mate leaving him to follow. Shortly after 12 months, she was finally able to go on hunts and that was where she shined. She was fast, agile, and a quick thinker when it came to the hunt, just like her mother. Only a little older than one, she was already leading many successful pack hunts, and was soon respected even more by all. Her personality was great, and she made friends with everyone and that included the neighboring packs.
Friends called her Shadow, not Eärlindë for that's what she was, a shadow. Soon enough, everyone starting calling her Shadow except for her parents who called her Sére. She seems perfect, doesn't she? Like every other wolf and creature in the world, she wasn't. She struggled with for many years with lack of sight as her voids turned from able to a pale green-gray. Fighting was something she could not do at all, as well as swim. Aqua-phobia is what she had and she refused to be near water that was deeper than her small and delicate paws.
Love was never in her sights no matter how many males tried to court her. They were all refused and met claws... or her fathers. Her relationship with her parents starting drifting, she was getting older, they were getting older. Soon it would be time for her to take over as she reached her fourth birthday. Knowing all she needed, Galadriël and Fëawen decided to step down in five months but Eärlindë had different plans. While walking along the beach with her trusted friend Soyumi, they decided to brave the fierce sea together to get rid of her fear. Little did they know of the dangers lurking in the cold and icy water.
Yes, icy. All around ice was starting to cover the sea and neither female had the since to not go in. An undertow lurked and waited as the two swam about, growing more and more comfortable with the water, Eärlindë edged out further until she was pulled under. It had gotten her, dragged and sucked her under with mighty force. Her body felt limp as she was subjected to the oceans every whim and soon fell out of mind. Waking up hours later cold and wet, pale voids stared out to a vast world of water. Feeling so small and helpless her small cranium bent down to see what she was on; floating ice. Feeling faint, she drifted back off and soon learned to grab fish from the surface a few days later to eat.
It was a long journey, but finally land could be seen. Mustering all the strength she had, Eärlindë jumped off of her barge and swam to the shore where she shortly after collapsed where a journey of many perils and fortunes would unfold themselves for her.
