ADALI
"Who made up all the rules, We follow them like fools
Believe them to be true, Don't care to think them through"
Believe them to be true, Don't care to think them through"
this is me in the flesh,
NAME: Adali
NICKNAME(S): Ada
PRONUNCIATION: Ada-lee
POSITION: Sklavin/Slave
taste the sky,
AGE: 3 ½ Years
GENDER: Female
BREED: Arctic Wolf | Canis Lupus Arctos
HEIGHT: 25 Inches
APPEARANCE:
Lacking much stature, Adali is on the lower end of the spectrum at just 25 inches in height. Her fur appears to be mostly of similar length across her leaner frame, with the hairs on her neck and chest growing only slightly longer than the rest that covers her - what some may refer to as - too skeletal body. It’s probably safe to say that, despite her lineage of well sized wolves, she isn't as muscled or filled out as her parents were or hoped her to be. Some may even refer to her as ‘fragile’ in build, though part of that may be from slight malnourishment and even neglect.
True to her cold weather origins, her coat could be referred to as being white, though appears to be more of a very light cream color when compared to the frozen substance. The texture of her coat couldn't be considered exceedingly soft or coarse to the touch, but somewhere in between. Her eyes are a light golden amber.
thoughts that make me go insane,
PERSONALITY: One might refer to Adali as submissive, obedient, docile and maybe even cowardly (though if she had the guts, she’d deny the last). It’s easy to spot her in a group; just look for the lightly colored she-wolf with her head hung low and her tail between her legs, trying to avoid confrontation at all costs. There’s rarely a creature as easy to pick on and boss around as Adali is. Some slaves might rebel, fight back, or at least make some sort of rude remarks to their leaders. But not Adali. Whomever asserts themselves as her leader will find themselves having full reign over Adali, whom would probably try and bite off her own ear if her alpha wished it to be so. The female has little respect for herself, honestly seeing herself as nothing more than living to serve those higher than her. It’s how she was raised and taught from puphood, and she has never known anything else to compare her life to. Unlike for so many, the grass isn’t greener on the other side of the fence for Adali. It’s the same shade as the grass she’s always known.
While she dislikes causing any sort of trouble for others, she also detests being ignored. Even if one is to come down harshly on her or punish her or simply take their frustrations out on her, at least it means someone is paying her some mind. Her greatest fear is to not have some sort of use, whether it be someone to simply talk to or serve as a personal chew toy for it matters little to her as long as she is useful to another, especially if the other is of a high rank. It is the only thing that makes her feel valuable and like she belongs. It’s easy to say she lives to serve and while some may call her too spineless to simply stand up for herself, in all honesty Adali doesn’t see the need to. It'd take a lot of convincing for her to see that slavery isn't always a good thing.
all over my shoulder,
FATHER: Unknown
MOTHER: Ricarda
SIBLINGS: Arabel
HISTORY: Born and bred an underdog, unwanted and unneeded. Adali has spent most of her uneventful life with her belly to the ground and tail tucked. From the very first moments she can remember, she has been the one looked down upon, the one others would only notice if they needed something to yell or bite at. With her father never anywhere to be seen, and a mother whom couldn’t do much to give her pups a better life, Adali spent her days simply trying to survive and keep on others good sides with a sister whom never had it much easier.
As far as she can remember, there hasn’t been a day in her life where she has known a full stomach. Always one of the last ones to eat, she’s usually left to pick at the scraps of whatever kill someone else has made. That being said, there usually hasn’t been much left to fill her empty stomach and as such, she appears more scrawny than many.
During her two and a half years, Adali has heard from many of similar rank as she that slavery isn’t a good thing. Whispers of others failed escapes and rebellions have drifted by her, and she honestly has never fathomed why anyone would even try. Her mother always taught her and her sister to be grateful for what she has, and that at least she isn’t lying dead somewhere with crows pecking at her body. She was taught that her superiors are the very reason she is still here, and that although perhaps they cause pain and fear much of the time, they are still the ones that have given her a place to live. And the fact that Adali simply hasn’t known anything else than what she has, has also made her clueless to better things that may lie out there.
