OOC Hey! It's Ruki! :D Been workin' on a new skin, which is why I haven't posted much, and it's finally done! Mostly anyway. Change it to Umber Fields and you should see all the fun. There are bound to be a few kinks in the display, so please tell me if there's anything wrong, or if something just looks odd to you, like if the font's too small. :C I'm thinkin' it might be. Staff ppl should pm me with 100x100 icons. Also the mini-profile circle images are 125x125. I thought they were 100x100 at first, but no, I forgot about the circle border edits. |D Couldn't have gotten it done without the codes from the people in the credits, so silent shoutout to them. Staytuned for more weird updates. Might do some re-arranging of the boards. Anywho, hope you like it!
OLD: 4/04 Ruki says: NEW SEASON! Spring has started! We might start advertising places again now that midterms are over for all of us, and posting is back up. Not exactly OOC news, but Enheit Alpha Sinead has PUPPIES. If you wanna adopt the last one, the adopt thread is HERE! Ody and Raven have their own rules for this, so read them and adopt a pup if y'all want. SPRANG BRAAAAKE.
2/26/15 WHY HELLO! Guess who it is again. Ruki. I've been busy condensing rules and tips into a handy updated guidebook here on THIS PAGE! with the help of my fellow staff buddies. It's super important to read and make sure you get all the fun info down. The newest rule is about ALPHA ACTIVITY, so be sure to read the Lands and Territories section. The gist of it is that yall leaders gotta post once a week. If you don't POOF. No more land for you. This is a new rule, but if you haven't posted within the next few days and haven't been active in a while, you best get on that 'cause yo' land's 'bout to be snatched.
IC Spring is here at last and the land is beginning to flourish with new life once more. Young animals are plentiful and slowly others are rousing out of hibernation. April showers rain down, and springtime flowers are budding out from their winter beds. SPRING will last from April 1st - June 1st
Far above, the navy sky was bloated with a thick canopy of stars. The moon was full and creamy, beams of her light illuminating the sand beneath until it was very nearly ivory. A trail of tiny paw prints snaked through the otherwise undisturbed sand, leading down to the place where the oceans gentle waves kissed the land. The diminutive form of a she-wolf sat very still at the shore, her toes freshly dampened with each rush of water. Her thick, cream hued pelt stirred gently with the breeze as lilac eyes gazed out from the charcoal-splashed cranium, a small, mysterious smile resting loosely upon her muzzle. ”Beautiful,” she breathed, her voice as soft and light as the light from the moon, her tail draped lazily around her haunches. Vashti had been in this land for only a few weeks now, but with each new landmark that the gypsy femme discovered, she fell more and more in love. It was a gorgeous place that her paws had led her to, and while she knew little to none of the customs and traditions surrounding it, she was eager to discover as much as she could. Vashti could not yet tell if her restless soul would grow bored with this place, if it would drive her onward to greater places, and only time would tell. For now she was content to rest on the sandy shores of the beach, the comforting noises of the ocean cradling her like a newborn pup enveloped by its mother’s warmth.
It had been a long day, but a pleasant one. Vashti had wandered through a particularly large and enchanting forest originally, filling her belly with the hot meat that the body of a hare had provided, and then another much later on. When she’d finally found that the trees were thinning, she’d continued across the land, skirting a wet, boggish area that reeked of a pack. Eventually the earth beneath her paws had grown dry and parched, and onwards she’d went until she’d found herself here only moments before. Vashti typically did not enjoy the heat with her thick coat and easily parched frame, but the night air had brought coolness with it, and the sand was very nearly cold beneath her hindquarters. In the distance she could make out the distinct shape of palm tree leaves, which was where she considered making her camp for the night. She could settle down in the shade of the tree and rise with the sun to escape the oppressive heat, perhaps taking a fish or two with her. Yes, she was fond of the idea…but for now she was content to sit and watch the waves, wide-set ears perked atop her skull, delicate muzzle pointed skyward towards the moon.
