So I'm sure that most of you are informed of the new update that Proboards is putting out. If not, you can watch this breakdown video here.
From what I've seen, you guys don't love it and to be honest, I'm not too wild about it either. It seems way different than the site is now and I'm not positive all of our stuff will convert properly. However, the update, as far as I know, is unavoidable and all boards will be updated. But we have options. After talking with Imms, we decided on a couple actions we could possibly go through with.
1 || We stay here, on this url, and survive through the update and work through the bumps.
2 || We move to Invision Free boards and convert everything over immediately.
3 || We make an url on Invision Free, but also work with this board through the update, and we use both simultaneously to see which one we prefer.
You guys will vote. We want to hear what you guys are thinking. Personally, I think option #3 is what I'm leaning toward, but nothing will happen without your guys' consent, so don't freak. c: We need to seriously think about the future of this site and the enjoyment of it.
Invision Free is different, I'll tell you that. But there's also a lot of it that's similar to Proboards. It's our best option if we do want to switch over to a different host. However, your input is more than welcome. So please share your ideas! c: We'll work through this together and hopefully figure out something that pleases everybody. <3
Thanks guys!

I agree with you on the fact that option three seems the best way to go. This way we don't have to panic and move quickly, but either work through the problems or make a nice, easy move over to invisionfree. No panic, no stress. Even though I do not like the looks of v5 at all, we could just be blowing it out of proportion because it is such a big change.

My vote goes to #2, personally. I'm not liking anything I see about v5 and having two boards would just be a tad confusing and tedious, imo.

Dakki: Thats what I'm hoping that #3 will do. You guys will be able to see both options and choose which one you prefer. And if we are blowing it out of proportion, the site will still be here to come back to.
Ody: I know what you mean, and it'll be a lot of coding work. However, I do think it's important to see what really is coming in case we really are being all crazy. To clear up option three. Basically, we'll move the site over there and you guys can rp and stuff there. This board will still be here, and we'll be able to use it kind of like a beta version. You guys can test it out, post on it and whatnot, in order to see if you like it. It's not necessarily having two boards, it's just kind of keeping this one as a tester. c:
Or as the other way around and have Invison Free as a tester, either way we can go with. As Immy said below. c: [/size]

I think 3 is the best option FOR NOW. I think we should stay on here and RP as we always have. Go through the v5 transition and see how we like it. In the meantime, Kirs and I can work on an invisionfree that anyone can practice on and see how they like it. Just for messing around's sake. And then we collaborate as a site and decide where we want our wolves to live for good.
